Gemma Foster: I’m excited to know the full line-up of teams. I’ve heard some of the names tossed around but not the whole twelve.
Scott Parker: We’ll also see our Primetime Champion in action tonight as she’s set to take on Bailey Mayhew in our main event.

A Challenge
“Lights Out” by P.O.D. started to play throughout the arena and the fans came to their feet as AJ Adams made his way to the stage. He was dressed in his wrestling gear and seemed ready to compete. AJ made his way down to the stage and rolled into the ring and was handed a microphone.
AJ Adams: I’m going to keep this brief. I don’t have many friends in the wrestling business, that’s never been a secret. However I see a challenge and I just have to get involved. This tournament that’s starting tonight is made for tag teams but I’m my own team. I entering myself into the Turmoil Tag Team Tournament.
The fans cheer as Adams readied himself.
AJ Adams Vs. Azurine Vebbins & Talia Areano
Adams was ready as Vebbins decided she was going to start for her team. Vebbins and Adams circled each other and lock up to get things going. Adams drove his knee into her gut and quickly lifted her onto his shoulders. He connected with a GTS and covered but only barely got a two as Vebbins kicked out.
Scott Parker: AJ knows that he needs to end things quickly tonight because the longer the match goes on the more advantage Azurine and Talia will have with their numbers.
Vebbins climbed to her feet, a little stunned, and took a hard right hand. Adams sent Vebbins off the ropes and connected with a big back body drop. Vebbins hit the mat hard and rolled to her feet and ducked an incoming clothesline but Adams stopped quickly behind Vebbins and delivered a German suplex. Adams was fired up started to stalk Vebbins. He grabbed her and pulled her in for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) but she was able to get out and hit a kick to the gut of Adams and she followed it with a DDT. Vebbins used the opening to tag out and Areano came flying off the top rope and hit a side kick right to the chest of Adams as he stood. Adams rolled to his feet but was quickly taken down with a headscissors takedown. Adams sat up and Areano came flying across the ring and hit the Rush Hour (Sliding Forearm Smash). Areano tried for a cover but Adams kicked out just after one. He got to his feet but Areano caught him with a superkick. She grabbed Adams and set him up for the Slice of Heaven (Sliced Bread #2) but Adams reversed it into the Lights Out (Tazmission).
Gemma Foster: Lights Out! Lights Out! Adams has Talia Areano locked in the Lights Out.
Scott Parker: She’s fading fast!
Areano is in the middle of the ring and the referee goes to check on her but Vebbins jumped into the ring and broke it up with a hard stomp on Adams. The referee yelled at Vebbins to get out of the ring. Adams picked Areano back to her feet and before he could do anything she hit him with a spear into the corner. Vebbins tagged himself in out of sight of Adams. Adams pushed Areano into the middle of the ring and hit her with the Legacy Maker. Adams stood and was hit with two knees to the sternum from Vebbins which she followed up with a superkick. Adams staggered and she hit a second superkick and then planted him with a DDT for her Sweetheart Sock Hop combo. Vebbins fell onto Adams and covered for a three count victory.
WINNERS: Azurine Vebbins and Talia Areano, via pinfall @ 13:04
Vebbins and Areano hugged and celebrated as they were moving on in the tag team tournament.
Scott Parker: Valiant effort here from AJ Adams but no dice.
Welcome to the Glory Days
“Hybris” by Lamented Souls begun to play and the fans were confused until former BWF Tag Team and EGW World Champion Derrick Daze made his way to the ring. He was flanked by someone that the announcers pointed out as Lacey Gloria as they made their way to the ring. Daze walked around the ring and snatched a microphone as he stood on the ring apron.
Derrick Daze: Empire Wrestling.
Gloria and Daze both entered the ring.
Derrick Daze: Most of you may know who I am. A brief few might even know who this is. This is Lacey Gloria. Together we are the Glory Daze and we are here in Empire Wrestling to show to world that we’re the best tag team in the world. No one is going to-
He’s cut off a voice and someone coming to the stage.
Voice: The best? I think the best in Empire Wrestling is already spoken for.
The fans roar as Riley Rouse and Mighty Jo Young, the Spectres, make their way to the stage.
Scott Parker: It’s the former EW Tag Team Champions!
Gemma Foster: The rumors were true!
The Spectres made their way to the ring and we were ready to get things underway.
The Spectres Vs. Glory Daze
Rouse and Daze started things off and Rouse landed a series of quick forearm strikes to the face of Daze. Daze then got behind Rouse and rolled them up with a school boy style pin but quickly stood and stomped on the right hand of Rouse. He rubbed the heel of his boot on Rouse’s fingers as the referee made him break the hold. Daze pulled Rouse to their feet and sent them into the corner. Daze tried to wrap Rouse’s finger around the ring rope backwards and Rouse yelped in pain. The referee started a count and Daze backed away. He then charged at Rouse and ran into a big boot. Rouse hit the ropes but was hit in the back with a right hand from Gloria on the apron. Young tried to get into the ring but the referee turned his attention to her and held her back. Gloria jumped into the ring and hit Rouse with a big clothesline to the back of the head before ducking out of the ring. Daze came off the ropes with the Dissection (Springboard Stomp) onto Rouse’s hand. The referee checked on Rouse but they said they could go on. Gloria was tagged in and wrenched the hand of Rouse in a hammerlock.
Scott Parker: Rouse is in a lot of pain.
Rouse threw an elbow back and connected to the side of Gloria’s head. Rouse turned and hit an enziguri and both competitors were down. The fans cheered on Rouse as they crawled to the corner but Daze was able to make a tag and jump into the ring. Daze grabbed Rouse by the foot and pulled them to the middle of the ring. Rouse got to their feet and ducked a blow from Daze and pulled them in for the Sonic Screwdriver (Swinging Neckbreaker) and it connected. Rouse was able to dive and hit a tag to Young as the crowd popped. Young hit the ropes and dropped Daze with Caught Up (Spear). Young popped up and turned to Gloria as she jumped into the ring and charged. Young hit Gloria with a Caught Up and jumped up again, fired up. Daze dropped Young from behind with a hard clothesline. Daze pulled Young up and tried to lock in his Sickness Complete (Flying Omoplata) but Young rolled through and to her feet. Daze stood and was tackled by Rouse with the Gotcha (Lou Thesz Press).
Scott Parker: Rouse and Young making a comeback here!
Gloria hit Rouse with a superkick that echoed throughout the arena. Young pulled Gloria in and delivered the Mighty Slam (Batista Bomb). Young was then rolled up in a small package by Daze and got two before Rouse moved the pile so Daze’s shoulders were on the mat and Young got a three count victory!
WINNERS: The Spectres, via pinfall @ 16:11
Daze popped up after the three count and he and Gloria immediately started to attack the Spectres after the ring. The bell continued to sound as trainers came out to break up the attack. Young battled back and hit Daze with the Young Gun (AA Spinebuster) and Rouse hit Gloria with the Sonic Screwdriver. The Spectres embraced in the ring as the fans cheered.
The Haters Vs. The Purge
Gio DeLuca and Dominic Salvatore made their way to the ring next cutting a promo on the way down.
Gio DeLuca: Tonight we step into the ring against people we ain’t eva heard of. The Purge? This ain’t no mini series. This ain’t no movie. This is Empire Wrestling and the only thing happening here tonight are the Haters movin onto the next round.
The Haters were in the ring as the newcomers of Artemis and Ellen Shrader came out behind their manager Lea Francis. She gave some direction to the duo and they hit the ring. Francis jumped onto the apron on the far side and Salvatore turned to her which allowed Shrader and Artemis to get into the ring and each hit a big boot on DeLuca. Salvatore turned to the duo and Artemis hit him with a spinning kick to the gut and Shrader came flying in with a big boot. Shrader then hit the ropes and completed the Antidote (Big Boot and Shining Wizard combo). Artemis moved into position and locked in Worship Me (Fujiwara Armbar) on Salvatore and Shrader locked in the Merciless Killing (Muta Lock) on DeLuca and both tapped out as the bell sounded.
WINNERS: The Purge, via pinfall @ 2:10
Gemma Foster: Impressive debut here for Shrader and Artemis.
Osakajin Warrior
We’re stationed in the backstage area and we can see Kaito Hirano sitting near the locker room and he seems upset. He has some papers in one hand and his phone in another. Kaito looked down to his phone and then put it on the table as we see the liaison of Empire Wrestling, Sara Logan.
Sara Logan: Hey, Kaito. So did you find a tag team partner for the tournament? I know you were wanting to compete in it.
Kaito shakes his head.
Kaito Hirano: No. I could not find partner. My partner could not get cleared for Visa so I must drop out.
Sara Logan: I suppose you could always go the AJ Adams route and go it alone.
Kaito Hirano: No. This is tag team tournament.
Sara takes a moment to think and smiles.
Sara Logan: Kaito, go ask Izumi Sato. I don’t want to sound racist but the two of you could hit it off. You grew up near each other and have made your way here. She’s a warrior and I know you are too.
He thinks it over and nods.
Kaito Hirano: Maybe I go ask.
Casey Grey Vs. Bailey Mayhew
It was time for the main event as Casey Grey came out with the Primetime Championship around her waist and she was flanked by Rune. Mayhew came out second but was fired up for the opportunity. Just as the match was about to start we got a shot of Alicia Monroe tied somewhere in the backstage area and she appeared to have already been the victim of an attack. The camera slowly panned backwards and we saw Kayla Taylor standing there. She waved to the camera.
Kayla Taylor: Good luck, Casey.
Casey grabbed her championship and rushed out of the ring and towards the back at full speed. The camera followed along as she ran up and down the halls of the Warehouse screaming for Alicia. Someone pointed down a hall and she charged down it. She swung open a door and could see Alicia sitting there. She begun to untie her but was attacked by Taylor but Grey battled right back. She got Taylor to the ground and landed a series of blows but a crack was heard as a kendo stick wrapped across the back of Grey. A second shot hit Grey as the camera swung and we could see Kayla’s partner, Krista May Williams, attacking Grey. The Freaks with Benefits attacked Grey and sent her into a filing cabinet as she collapsed to the ground. Williams and Taylor screamed at the two ladies as Rune entered with security and got the two out of the room as EMTs checked on Grey and Monroe.
Scott Parker: This is not the same Freaks with Benefits team the fans all loved during their first run in Empire Wrestling. Something has flipped in Kayla and Krista.
We get a final shot of Rune checking on Monroe and Grey as we fade to black.
