Episode #16 - May 15, 2019
Scott Parker: Welcome home Empire Wrestling! We’re live back in the Warehouse located in Long Island City, NY. Tonight is the EW Homecoming! At Next Level: Revolution we crowned a new Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Daemon. He’s in the house tonight!
Gemma Foster: Daniel Daemon took the championship from Pryce and the question now is can anyone stop him?
Scott Parker: There’s a lot of questions after Next Level: Revolution. Who was with L2N? Why are Fenryr and Karli Frost in Empire Wrestling? That’s just a start.
Gemma Foster: Well let’s try and get some answers tonight!
‘BELIAL. BEHEMOTH. BEELZEBUB.
ASMODEUS. SATANAS. LUCIFER’
The opening of ‘Year Zero’ by Ghost draws boos from the crowd as Daniel Daemon emerges from the back, drinking in the hatred of the audience with a smile. He adjusts his crimson necktie before unbuttoning his suit jacket to reveal the cracked face of the Empire Heavyweight Championship. Daniel marches to the ring, basking in the boos from the audience as he does so. He climbs into the ring and dismisses the announcer, taking their microphone from them. He starts to say something but the booing grow louder and he smiles even wider.
Daniel Daemon: You’re going to have to boo louder than that for Chelsea Pryce to hear you from the safety of her home where she is icing down her poor widdle shoulder.
This draws even louder boos from the crowd.
Daniel Daemon: Oh come now. I TOLD you all how this was going to go. You can’t really be that surprised…but I could feel your hope. I could feel you all wishing and praying that Chelsea would pull off the impossible. See…the problem is that you all thought that energy was being channeled into Chelsea… when in reality it was all going right into the palm of my hand just so I could…
Daniel looks at the palm of his hand and slowly closes it, mimicking crushing the hopes and prayers of the audience.
Daniel Daemon: And just like that…I had what I deserved finally but make no mistake. I know you will find a new Hero. You’ll rally your support behind somebody. Perhaps it will be the returning FM Young? Perhaps your cheers will cause her to step up and attempt to reclaim this title? Maybe you will throw your support behind one of my idiot sons? They’ve wanted to beat me down ever since the moment I came out of retirement but anyone with a brain knows the filthy animal they carry around has as much of a chance as they do of beating me. Perhaps AJ Adams will become emboldened by your cheers. There are plenty of options… and you will think you are helping these individuals by making them feel worthy of facing me... but in truth all you are doing by offering this encouragement is putting them in harm’s way. The court of public opinion would be telling these…Prisoners they were being freed and then sending them to the Executioner. You are all far more cruel than I in that regard.
Daniel wags a disapproving finger at the crowd.
Daniel Daemon: I will make example after example after example of whoever is put in front of me and along with my title I will build a throne out of the destroyed reputations of those stupid enough to face me and wear a crown constructed from all of your half-formed, selfish, idiotic hopes and dreams.
Daniel points all around to the crowd as he says this.
Daniel Daemon: The Empire finally has an Emperor. My reign will be long. My reign will be bloody. And any who defy it will be dragged into their own personal Hell. All Glory to the God-Emperor. All Glory to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. All Glory to Me.
Daniel drops the microphone and unbuckles the title belt around his waist before holding it up for all to see. His music plays once more before we fade to commercial.
Austin Scott Vs. Gio DeLuca Vs. Kaito Hirano
These three competitors were looking to take a step towards the Extreme Championship and showing they deserve a match with Sam Hamilton. DeLuca had a chain wrapped around his fist as he came to the ring. Scott grabbed a chair early as the match was starting and clubbed DeLuca. Hirano hit a snap kick right to the jaw of Scott. Hirano was fired up and started to land kicks to Scott and was attacked from behind by DeLuca. DeLuca tried to roll up Hirano but only got two. DeLuca dropped Hirano with a hard right hand, with chain, as they both stood. Scott hit the Straight Whiskey (Running lariat) on DeLuca. Scott pulled him to his feet quickly and looked for the Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver) but Hirano pulled DeLuca off of Scott’s shoulders. Hirano hit a spinning back kick to the gut of Scott.
This gave Hirano an opening as he connected with an Osaka Bomb (Code Red). The fans thought Hirano had the match won but Scott kicked out at two. DeLuca saw the opening and connected with an elbow drop off the top on Scott. Hirano grabbed DeLuca and started to set up for the Oyasumi [Goodnight] (Fireman's Carry Overhead Kick). Scott was to his feet and connected with a running big boot to Hirano. Scott dumped Hirano to the outside and pulled DeLuca up. DeLuca looked for a right hand but Scott ducked and countered into the Law and Order (Pumphandle Slam) and covered for the win.
WINNER: Austin Scott via pinfall @ 8:32
Krista May Williams Vs. Zoey Mathews-Mitchell
The bell rang and the match was underway, Krista quick to go on the offensive. Williams backed Zoey into the corner and hit several punishing strikes, at one point using her boot to choke Zoey with the referee unable to do anything. After she felt damage had been done she backed away.
Krista continued to dominate early in the match until a rally from the crowd caused Zoey to erupt with a devastating kick combination that ended with a devastating shotgun kick. Zoey picked up a two count pin, but Krista attempted a pin reversal, the ref breaking the pin up seeing that Krista had a hold of Zoey’s tights.
Zoey and Krista exchanged strikes in the center of the ring, neither of them seeming to give an inch until Krista ducks under an attempted clothesline and floats over to cinch in an inverted facelock before dropping Zoey with the Last Breath (swinging inverted DDT) and scrambling for the cover, only getting a two count before Zoey manages to kick out. Krista stood and seemed to be having a bit of an argument about the referee about the speed of his count as Zoey got to her feet. After the argument with the ref, Krista turns only to for Zoey to hit Krista with the Z4 (C4) and cover her for the three count, picking up the win.
WINNER: Zoey Mathews-Mitchell via pinfall @ 10:44
Allen Chaney Vs. Lio Walsh
In another match where the competitors were looking to make a statement in the Extreme Division, Chaney and Walsh competed in a back and forth bout. These two brawlers came out throwing punches and ended up against the ropes. The referee would try to step in and they’d push him away and keep going at it. Chaney looked for a bearhug but took hard elbows to the back of the head. Walsh sent Chaney into the ropes and wanted the Thez press but Chaney caught himself on the ropes. Chaney hit Walsh with a forearm to the face and then tossed him through the ropes. Chaney chased after and sent Walsh into the steps. He started to clear off the announcers table and grabbed Walsh. He started to set up for a powerbomb but Walsh hit Chaney with a backdrop onto the floor.
Walsh pulled Chaney onto the table and wanted the Made of Nightmares (Rock Bottom) but Chaney fought out. Chaney looked for a suplex on the table but Walsh fought out. Chaney jumped off the table. Walsh jumped at Chaney but was caught with a powerbomb on the floor! Chaney covered and only got two. Walsh fought to his feet and speared Chaney into the apron. Walsh hit the Reign Over (Dirty Deeds) on the floor and covered but only got two! Chaney was slow to get to his feet and Walsh was stalking him. He was setting Chaney up for the Made of Nightmares and Chaney fought out once again. Chaney drove a knee into Walsh’s gut and hit the Punchline (Package Piledriver) on the floor! He covered and picked up the win!
WINNER: Allen Chaney via pinfall @ 13:20
Chaney celebrated after the match but it was short lived as Walsh sent him over the top of the announcer table. Walsh grabbed a chair and hit Chaney with it once as he started to stand. Walsh dropped the chair and left.
Gemma Foster: Walsh could have done a lot of damage there but decided to just leave a small statement after Chaney pulled off the win here tonight.
Out for Blood
Alicia Monroe is sitting on a box backstage with her phone when Rune Sigidottir and Karli Frost step into view. Alicia ignores them. Rune clears her throat. Alicia answers without looking up from her phone.
Alicia Monroe: What the HELL do you want? I don’t want any trouble from either of you so why don’t you both just walk on by and leave me alone?
Rune Sigidottir: Hey, where’s Casey? You guys have to walk up here tonight?
Alicia Monroe: I don’t know. And nope. We Uber’d. You still haven’t walked away.
Karli Frost: Listen, Alicia. I know that we busted both of you up pretty good last week, but we just wanted to let you know it’s all business. Actually, Rune wanted to thank you for…
Alicia places her phone in her bag and hops down.
Alicia Monroe: All right. Look, all I want from you two is to be left alone. I don’t think it’s too much to ask, but you won’t do it. I guess I just have to beat up on both of you.
Rune’s eyes narrow. Karli chuckles.
Karli Frost: Okay, rookie. We don’t mind…
THWACK!
Casey Grey comes out of nowhere and delivers a brutal chair shot across Karli’s back. When Rune turns towards the sound, Alicia slugs her across the face. Karli stumbles forward to one knee, while Rune is floored. Casey smashes the chair into Karli again while Alicia jumps on Rune and starts raining punches into her face. A third chair shot from Casey sends Karli flat to the floor, and Casey throws the chair against the wall and starts stomping and kicking Karli. After a few moments, trainers rush in to break up the fight, and while Alicia allows herself to be pulled away from Rune relatively easily, Casey fights through the first two trainers to reach her to keep attacking Karli. Finally Casey is dragged away by Alicia.
Casey Grey: There’s a lot more where that came from! A lot more! I’m going to bring it every time I see you too, bitches. Bet on it!
Alicia and Casey walk away as the trainers check on Rune and Karli, who have only just begun to stir.
Alicia Monroe Vs. Johnny Maverick
Casey Grey came down to the ring with Monroe, Ollie Maverick with Johnny. Before the match started both Kayla Taylor and Krista May Williams, the Tag Team Champions, made their way to the stage. This match was fast paced and short as there were all sorts of distractions. The Freaks kept trying to come to the ring and Ollie and Casey would stop them, which would distract either Johnny or Alicia. Monroe tried to take advantage with a roll up but only got two.
Scott Parker: The Freaks just out here causing a scene at this point.
Williams and Taylor stormed the ring and started to brawl with Grey and Ollie. Johnny and Alicia jumped out of the ring to join in and the referee didn’t know what to do.
Gemma Foster: All matches are Extreme Division matches tonight! It’s chaos right now!
The brawl continued with everyone getting shots in. Johnny rolled Alicia back into the ring and followed. He quickly had to duck a clothesline and hit Monroe with a big German suplex. Maverick rolled up to his feet and then hit a dragon suplex. He rolled her back up and finished off the Johnny Special with a half and half suplex. Maverick was fired up and the outside brawl started to spill into the ring. Kayla and Grey, who have a match next, went blow for blow before Grey hit her with the Breath Mint (Forearm Smash). Johnny and Grey looked at each other and Grey gave him a nod and left the ring. Johnny turned and was caught by Monroe’s Lynchpin (Diving Reverse STO)! She covered and picked up a big win!
WINNER: Alicia Monroe via pinfall @ 11:03
Maverick was shocked as he looked around. Ollie was on the outside fighting with Williams and heard the bell and turned his attention. This allowed Williams to get an upperhand. Johnny went after Krista to help Ollie. The Bastards chased Williams away so she couldn’t get involved in the next match as it was starting right away.
Kayla Taylor Vs. Casey Grey
Things got off to a slow start between Casey and Kayla, the two grappling and countering in a display of technical prowess the crowd really seemed to appreciate. Krista was at ringside, keeping a close eye on the action in the ring but the referee had an eye on her. The technical display saw wristlocks, headlocks, and all sorts of holds exchanged until Kayla ended it with a perfectly executed Butterfly suplex that was floated over into a cover. Casey kicked out at one.
This seemed to reinvigorate Casey who started laying on some heavy offense, hitting some stunning strikes and a few powerful throws, getting a few nearfalls in the process. Krista did her best outside the ring trying to get Kayla to rally to some sort of comeback.
Casey was able to lift Kayla up on her shoulders and drops her with the Racklash (Rack Attack). It seemed like Casey had this match all but won until Krista hopped on the apron, taking the attention away from the referee. This allowed for a shocking moment at as from seemingly out of nowhere Casey is attacked by Fenryr Wulfsson and Karli Frost. The two made very fast work of attacking Casey with a series of strikes before Fenryr slammed her to the mat with Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb). Fenryr and Karli quickly roll out of the ring and Krista dropped off the apron. Kayla managed to crawl over to Casey and drape herself on top of her, getting the three count. Krista celebrated the win with Kayla who was more confused than anything. Fenryr and Karli watched from the ramp as Casey came to, realizing what had happened and looking decidedly unhappy about it.
WINNER: Kayla Taylor via pinfall @ 11:03
Gemma Foster: Ragnarok taking out Casey Grey here tonight!
Scott Parker: They’ve sent their message. They’re here to take out Casey Grey.
Los Angeles To...
“Come and Get It” by I Prevail started to play and the fans booed as L2N came out onto the stage. She smiled as she adjusted her leather jacket and made her way to the ring. She rolled to the ring as clips of her and FM Young at Next Level: Revolution. They ended as L2N looked around and had a microphone.
L2N: Earlier tonight we opened the show acknowledging that there’s so many questions! Who helped me? Why? All that in time. You see, I’ve said it time and time again I’m here to make headlines. I’m here to shake things up. That why I’ve been involved in so many finishes. That’s why I’m going to continue to make a name for myself. Tonight was all about getting answers. So tonight, back inside the Warehouse, let’s get some.
L2N walks around the ring and holds her free arm out.
L2N: L2N isn’t my name, obviously. L2N has a fun little meaning and it just happens to be what everyone has called me since it’s on my jacket. My name is Lacy Nicole Nelson. L, 2 N’s.
She smirks.
Lacy Nelson: I grew up wanting to be more than what I was told I could be. I fought for everything I’ve ever had. Growing up in Los Angeles I saw the rich waving their money in the face of the poor. People think Hollywood and glamor when they think of LA but I grew up fighting to survive. That’s what brought me here. From LA, to New York. L. 2. N.
She looks up the ramp.
Lacy Nelson: I don’t care who stands in my way. Now that you know my name get ready to put it in the headlines. I’ll soon be the top name in this company. I’m not going to just fight for what I want, L2N is going to take it.
She drops the microphone and rolls out of the ring.
Gemma Foster: Well there’s some answer at least.
Scott Parker: Lacy Nelson of L2N has made it known why she’s here and now we know WHO she is.
Samantha Hamilton Vs. AJ Adams
There was a lot of buzz for the main event of the night as the first ever Extreme Champion Samantha Hamilton was set to compete against a former World Champion in AJ Adams. Adams waited in the ring as Hamilton appeared with her championship on her shoulder. She showed it off and started to make her way to the stage. As things were about to start the fans were cheering for both competitors. Adams gave Hamilton a respectful nod and they locked up.
Scott Parker: Samantha Hamilton has dedicated this match for her mentor, Dazi, who recently passed. You know she’s fired up here tonight with a lot of emotion.
The two went blow for blow in the early parts of the match and Hamilton had tons of energy as she kept getting up after every hard strike Adams landed. She eventually jumped up and caught him with a spiking DDT in the middle of the ring. Adams rolled to his feet and was quickly gasping for air as Hamilton drove a knee right into his gut. He doubled over and stumbled into the corner. She charged and hit him with a big corner splash. Adams staggered out of the corner and was popped in the mouth with a superkick. He dropped to a knee and Hamilton hit the ropes and ran right into the Last Call (Codebreaker)!
Gemma Foster: AJ just hit the Last Call from out of nowhere! Hamilton looks out!
Adams slowly crawled over to Hamilton and covered but for two as she grabbed the ropes. Both competitors got to their feet and went blow for blow again. Adams lifted her up for a GTS but she grabbed the top ropes and was flipped over to the apron. Adams turned right into a forearm to the face. She climbed back into the ring and hit Adams with a backbreaker. Adams got to his feet and caught a charging Hamilton with a right hand. He jumped to the second ropes but she charged and hit him with a hard right hand of her own. She positioned herself and got Adams onto her shoulders and connected with the Zeus's Wrath (One Winged Angel)! She covered but he kicked out at two!
Scott Parker: Close counts for both competitors here tonight.
Hamilton pulled Adams to his feet and started for the Wrath Of The Titans (Pedigree). Adams flipped Hamilton behind him and turned. He grabbed her as she stood and hit the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail)! He covered and the fans were stunned as Hamilton kicked out at two. Adams sat on his knees waiting for Hamilton to get up.
Gemma Foster: Adams could be digging deep here and might be looking for the Lights Out submission.
The fans started to boo as Lacy Nelson appeared behind Adams. He slowly turned and was leveled with her superkick. Hamilton started to stir and Nelson grabbed her and hit the Headline (Eat Defeat). She rolled out of the ring and looked at the Extreme Championship and smirked and made her way up the ramp.
Adams was the first to stir and he crawled over to Hamilton but wouldn’t cover. He checked on her first and lifted her to her feet as the referee stood by. Adams patted her face to get her to come around and took a step back, fists up. He said “For Dazi” and Hamilton nodded. The fans erupted in cheers as the two went blow for blow for blow and back and forth in wild lefts and rights. Adams tried to lock in the Lights Out (Tazzmission) but Hamilton broke free. Hamilton looked for the Defying The Gods (Frankensteiner) but Adams turned it into a sitdown powerbomb. He pulled Hamilton up but she hit him with a kick to the gut. Wrath Of The Titans! Adams started to roll away but Hamilton pulled him up. Atlas Shrugged (Victoria's Widow's Peak)! Hamilton covered and picked up the win!
WINNER: Samantha Hamilton via pinfall @ 18:42
Scott Parker: What an ending!
Hamilton pointed to the sky and was clearly choked up. She was handed the Extreme Championship as Adams sat in the corner. He pulled himself up slowly and met Hamilton in the middle of the ring and the two shook hands.
Gemma Foster: Lacy Nelson tried to ruin this match for Sam but AJ wouldn’t allow it.
We get a final shot of Adams lifting the hand of Hamilton.
