Episode #114 - July 8, 2024
Elevated!
’Six years..
Six years straight of anythin in this business is somethin to be proud of. What Empire has done? It deserves to be celebrated.’
The voice of Ricky Rodriguez was heard, speaking those few words, only to be followed up by the sounds of ‘Booty Wurk’ by T-Pain and Joey Galaxy. That crowd rose up to their feet, hype building that much more as Ricky danced out from the back. But he wasn't alone!
Following Ricky out from the back was a large group of men and women dancing along with him. He was decked out in that neon green and pink trunks with the matching elbow and knee pads. Turning his attention to the group, he led them down the ramp, dancing with that music the whole way.
Slapping hands with the fans as they went, they all finally reached the bottom of the ramp, stopping at the ring. A few of them hoisted Ricky up onto the apron as he ducked in between the top and middle set of ropes. He ran to each side of the ring, throwing himself into the ropes with his arms extended outwards. Being handed a microphone on the final side, Ricky moved to the middle of the ring, enthusiasm radiating off of him.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘I damn sure don't do this nearly enough so let's do it up! Empireee Wrrrestlin! Let's get this party started!’
The crowd cheered that much louder, feeding off of Ricky's energy.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘I’ve never really been one to care bout match placement or nothin like that. Hell, I looove bein first up. Not just cause it lets me get mine done and over with and I can enjoy the rest of the show Elevated outta my mind..’
He shoots a wink, his smile growing larger.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘It's cause it lets set the pace of the show. Make sure it starts off on the right foot and gives everyone back there somethin they'll hafta bust their ass to follow. Which is exactly what's gonna go down in justa couple minutes when Austin Scott makes his entrance out here.
We gonna give y'all every bit of fight we got in us and leave you on the edge of y'all's seats. After all, it's what y'all deserve and it's damn sure what Empire deserves. So that's y'all gonna get. Like I said, six years deserves to be celebrated and ain't nobody in Empire Wrestlin celebrates like Ricky Rodriguez celebrates!’
The crowd cheered in response, growing even louder as Ricky raised his arms up and down. Walking to the bottom left corner, he climbed up onto the middle rope, yelling out.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘So, let's fuckin go!’
Jumping backwards off of the ropes, Ricky handed the microphone off to a member of the ring crew. The young man began to loosen himself up, awaiting the entrance of Austin Scott.
Ricky Rodriguez Vs. Austin Scott
The first match kicked off and Scott was on Rodríguez right at the start and had him backed into a corner with strikes. Rodriguez was able to slip out and hit a big dropkick to take down Scott. Scott started to set up for Law and Order (Pumphandle Slam) but Rodriguez countered into a headscissors takedown. Rodriguez hit a slingblade and was fired up as the crowd cheered. Redemption Wanted
Extreme Champion Chelsea LeClair is looking rather pissed off at the moment considering the events of last week and such. Her eyes are narrowed with a pretty angry vibe as it’s obvious that the aforementioned events haven’t even escaped her thoughts. She’s not holding back as she begins to speak her mind.
Chelsea LeClair: Embarrassing… disgusting… what other words do I have to describe last week? I know that Harper Blake is a former Extreme Champion and has been more or less hit or miss lately… and I know she’s been trying to build her way back up but…
Chelsea lets out a sigh.
Chelsea LeClair: Really??!?!?! Resorting to cheating at the end when in an Extreme Division match, there’s really no need for that? Look, being a champion and losing a non-title match in and of itself sucks. It always does. But to lose to someone like THAT who I KNOW that 9 out of 10 times I SHOULD be beating and as I recall, I’ve actually beaten before? I’m almost disgusted with myself for allowing it to happen but to add on to the embarrassment, there was the tight pulling and all the talk of “OH MY GOD SHOCKER”...
Horrible…
It’s not the first time that’s happened to me in my career. I’ve been in the game more than long enough at this point.
Hell the last time it happened, somewhere that wasn’t here I should point out, I got revenge and made the bitch tap out.
But something that throughout my career I’ve always hated is when people think they can use ME as a stepping stone either to be relevant in the first place or I suppose in this instance, to get back to relevance. You know what that tells me? It tells me that the person involved thinks I’m a damn pushover. If you’ve followed my career HERE, I’ve shown that I’m not one. I know there was a bit of a struggle with breaking through for me for a while when I first got going here, but when push came to shove and when I had the chance to really break the ceiling here, that’s exactly what I did when I won this…
And for those of you that remember, I didn’t beat some fucking slouch either…
For those of you that want a little more recent history, I retained this thing recently in a damn scramble match. So I know I am better, WAY better, than what happened last week. Harper Blake of all fucking people isn’t going to use me as a fucking stepping stone and I swear to God, or else I’ll go in the grave, what happened last week is NOT going to happen again…
So give me that bitch again and tell me who the fucking stepping stone is…
Chelsea contains her emotions as much as she can. She takes a deep breath before she ultimately walks out of the room, title in hand. She does hear a bit of cheers from the crowd as the scene cuts.
Melody Slayton Vs. Manic
Manic crawled her way down to the ring as Slayton awaited her. The Primetime Champ watched on as Manic pulled herself into the ring. Manic charged at Slayton and hit a big spear! Manic grabbed Slayton and bounced her head off the mat repeatedly. The referee broke it up and Manic pulled her up. Slayton pushed off and hit Manic with Coldfire Strike (V-Trigger)! Slayton covered but only for two. Slayton had control of the match and kept Manic down with slams and backbreakers. Manic hit a headbutt and went off the ropes and ran into Slayton’s Welcome to the Wasteland (End of Days)! Slayton covered and picked up the three count.
WINNER: Melody Slayton via pinfall @ 11:18
Angelica Matthews Vs. Josh Williams
This match started fairly back and forth. Williams hit a series of uppercuts but Matthews would come right back with her own and then an arm drag. She stuck her thumb into the eyes of Williams and then brought him down with a chop block. She targeted his knee as his brother Jack cheered on from the outside. Williams tried to mount a comeback with a hip toss. He looked for a kick that Matthews grabbed and hit a dragon screw. She quickly locked on her Eight Figure Sum (Figure 8) and forced the submission.
WINNER: Angelica Matthews via submission @ 6:18

"Spoiled" Summer Page: I know, right? But obviously they won’t be spending time together. It will no doubt not end well…
Something catches Summer’s eye.
"Spoiled" Summer Page: Excuse me Kevin but I have to go. I owe you another interview sometime in the future.
Summer walks away from Kevin and walks up to Travis Levitt. When Travis sees Summer a look of heartbreak comes over his face.
"Spoiled" Summer Page: Travis, what the hell, man?
Travis Levitt: I’m so sorry, Summer. I cannot tell you how sorry I am. Is there any word on Bianca?
"Spoiled" Summer Page: I wish there was. Not knowing has been the worst. It’s been a rough week for all of us and we’ve been a total wreck since…well you know.
Travis sighs.
Travis Levitt: Dammit!
"Spoiled" Summer Page: Can you help me understand what happened?
Travis Levitt: (With guilt in his voice)I don’t know, I just don’t know…
Anxiety creeps into Travis’ voice.
Travis Levitt: I'm so sorry Summer but I just can’t right now.
Travis walks off as a stunned Summer looks on.
