The Japanese press is in a mad scramble trying to secure flights and tickets to the upcoming Empire Wrestling show dubbed Next Level: Ascension. Although the New York-based promotion is hosting a star-studded event with the likes of Emily Corlen, The Jew Blazer, and FM Young; the match that's on everybody's lips is the debut between Izumi Sato and rookie sensation Aislin Finn.
Naturally, Izumi Sato is a beloved daughter in her homeland - particularly in Kyoto Prefecture. However, many within the Japanese wrestling press are also well informed when it comes to Sato's opponent. "She may be fresh out of the dojo," one reporter noted, "but Aislin Finn has put together a very strong skill set. "This match has all the makings of an instant classic," said another reporter. "Both women are very dangerous on the ground, and Aislin may edge out Izumi in the striking game."
Kazushi Takenaka of The Greatness Report managed to catch the same flight as Miss Sato, who was willing to give her own thoughts on the match. "My phone won't stop buzzing. Twitter is exploding over this match. So yes, I'm very aware of all the rave surrounding our match. Personally, I am honored and excited to have this opportunity to challenge such a promising young talent in my first match in Empire."
Takenaka asked her about the "instant classic" remark, and reports that she couldn't stop smiling in response. "I don't know about that," she said. "But one thing is for sure. I would like nothing more than to dazzle the fans with a great display of wrestling expertise. Hopefully a debut win to go along with it too."
