Episode #15 - April 3, 2019
Scott Parker: Welcome one and all! We’re back in the United States in the state of California, the city of angels! Los Angeles, Empire Wrestling has set up shop for the next two shows as we’re two weeks away from Next Level: Revolution!
Gemma Foster: We have no idea what’s on tap for tonight either! Everything has been kept a secret.
Scott Parker: There’s a lot of excitement in the air-
“Lights Out” by P.O.D. kicked up as the fans went wild for AJ Adams making his way to the stage to get the show underway.
AJ Adams Vs. Alicia Monroe
Adams and Monroe were set to compete for our first match of the night. Adams quickly tried to slow the pace of the match down with a few rest holds and locks. Every time Monroe would try to slip away he would pull her down with a wristlock or a headlock. Monroe finally got free and hit Adams with a swinging neckbreaker and then a jumping elbow drop. Adams rolled up to his feet and took a forearm to the face. Monroe took control of the match and hit a few big strikes before hitting Adams with a hard shining wizard. Monroe thought she had the match won but Adams got his foot on the ropes. Monroe looked for her Freebird (Running Bulldog) but Adams sent her hard into the corner. Adams locked in the Lights Out (Tazmission) and dropped Monroe to the mat. It looked like Monroe was about to pass out and she kicked off the ropes and it flipped her up to her feet, Adams now pinned to the mat. He was just able to kick out at two and Monroe was shocked. Monroe looked for a superkick but Adams ducked it and hit her with the Last Call (Codebreaker) and covered to get a pinfall.
WINNER: AJ Adams via pinfall @ 10:03
Becoming Prime Time
In a backstage segment we heard from Talia Areano as she ran down her recent accomplishments in Empire Wrestling, as recently as pinning former Primetime Champion Casey Grey. She stated that her attack on Azurine Vebbins was to show the world that she isn’t here for friends, but for championships. She wants her opportunity to carry gold in Empire Wrestling and she wants it at Next Level: Revolution against Josh Goldstein, the Primetime Champion.
The Titaness Challenge
Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton came out to the ring as she talked about coming to Empire Wrestling to set the world on fire and show that she’s the most extreme in the company. At Hype #14 she laid out Gio DeLuca in the first ever Titaness Challenge and wondered if any dare to step up to the challenge this week. The fans in attendance popped as former BWF Superstar Austin Scott came out to the stage. He lifted the front of his cowboy hat slowly and looked at to Hamilton before speaking.
Austin Scott: Howdy, Miss. I know what you’re thinking ‘cause I heard you talkin’ to Gio a couple weeks ago. I reckon it’s something like “who is this?” “Why am I facing these out of the woodwork fellers?” Now, see, Gio ain’t ever won a damn thing in his life. He might’ve put up a hell of a fight but I’m not him. I know a little bit about being extreme. I’ve won myself some gold back in the defunt BWF, incluin’ the Chaos Theory Championship which was quite similar to this new Extreme Championship here in Empire. So tonight I’m throwin’ my hat into the ring.
By this point Scott is up on the apron and is climbing into the ring. He took off his hat and threw it into the face of Hamilton and landed a vicious sucker punch. The fans booed as the bell sounded and the match started. Scott mounted Hamilton and landed blow after blow and ran his forearm across her face before pulling her up. He tossed her face first into the second ropes and put his knee into her back, using the ropes to choke her. Scott pulled back as Hamilton coughed and tried to catch her breath. He hit the ropes and dropped her with Straight Whiskey (Running lariat) before dropping into a cover. Hamilton kicked out at two, much to the delight of the fans. Scott quickly pulled Hamilton up and sent her into the ropes and hit a big AA spinebuster. Scott was fired up as he tried kicking at Hamilton but she rolled out of the ring and stumbled over to the timekeepers area.
Scott Parker: The fans were excited to see Austin Scott here tonight but no more. This is a ruthless Scott that we saw near the end of his tenure in BWF.
Scott went after Hamilton and she wacked him in the head with the bell as the fans roared! She then bounced his head off the announcers table. Scott staggered away as Hamilton went under the ring and tossed a steel chair in. Hamilton tried to grab Scott but he countered and bounced her head off the steel steps and then rolled her into the ring. Scott entered the ring and saw the steel chair and started to set Hamilton up for the Law and Order (Pumphandle Slam). He got her up but Hamilton slipped behind him to get free. She jumped up and hit a jumping neckbreaker. Both competitors got to their feet and Hamilton hit a superkick. Then a second! She jumped up and hit the Defying The Gods (Frankensteiner)! Scott stumbled to his feet and Hamilton started to set up for the Wrath of the Titans (Pedigree) but Scott flipped Hamilton backwards. Scott grabbed Hamilton and hit the Full Throttle (Inverted Overdrive) and covered for two! Scott couldn’t believe it!
Gemma Foster: Samantha Hamilton kicks out!
Hamilton slowly got to her feet and Scott charged and ran into a big boot. Hamilton grabbed the chair and rammed it into the gut of Scott before cracking it over his back. Scott dropped to a knee but rolled Hamilton up with a small package for two before Hamilton shifted her weight to have Scott’s shoulders on the mat for a shocking win!
WINNER: Samantha Hamilton via pinfall @ 14:19
Hamilton slid out of the ring as she smiled and stumbled up the ramp, leaving Scott looking around. He grabbed the chair and tossed it out of the ring.
Scott Parker: Samantha Hamilton wins again!
Gemma Foster: And Austin Scott does not seem happy about his return being spoiled.
Freak the Revolution
The Tag Team Champions Krista May Williams and Kayla Taylor, the Freaks with Benefits, made their way to the ring for a promo. They talked about how since December 26th, at Next Level: Turmoil, none of the other tag teams have stepped up. They’ve been waiting for real challengers and they still don’t see any. Williams said that at Next Level: Revolution they would show that the “bastards” aren’t so glorious. Johnny and Ollie Maverick came out to the stage and said they’d topped every team put in front of them to get their chance. Johnny said that if the Freaks wanted, they didn’t have to wait until Next Level.
The Champs were fired up and begged the Bastards to come to the ring and just as they entered, Williams and Taylor exited the ring and started up the ramp. Taylor said that Next Level: Revolution was perfect for them because they’ve revolutionized what it means to be a team in Empire Wrestling.
L.2.N. Vs. Rex Smith
Smith was introduced as a try out talent and they even briefly talked about how he had trained in the Empire Wrestling gym for the past 6 months and was looking to earn a contract. L2N hit the ring for her first official match in EW. As the referee was announcing the competitors, L2N hit Smith with a superkick. L2N snatched the microphone away and cut a promo.
L2N: Two weeks ago I came out here and said that I was here to change the landscape of Empire Wrestling and this is what they give me? Rex Smith? No way. I’ve come to be a challenger to Chelsea Pryce, not be fed fodder.
Smith was back to his feet and was turned around, getting dropped with the Headline (Eat Defeat). L2N dropped the microphone onto Smith and made her way to the back. She made her way through the curtain and pushed past some trainers. As soon as she turned the corner she was blindsided with a hard right hand and fists started flying. The camera was bumped and got a better shot, allowing the fans to go crazy, as they could see F.M. Young taking the fight to L2N!
Gemma Foster: It’s FM Young! She’s back!
Young and L2N went blow for blow before being pulled apart. Young broke free and dove onto a pile of people holding L2N back. Sara Logan happened to be standing close by and told L2N and Young that they would meet at Next Level: Revolution as both women kept trying to get free and being pulled apart down the hall.
Scott Parker: FM versus L2N in two weeks!
A Demon Comes This Way
Daniel Daemon is walking past and grabs Sara Logan and pushes her against a wall as trainers try to talk him down. He tells Logan that he’s tired of hearing people talk about what they deserve. The only person that deserves anything is him and he wants Pryce, he wants the Heavyweight Championship. She tells him to get ready for a match and if he wins, it’s his.
Daniel Daemon Vs.The Purge
It was a 3 on 1 match as all 3 members of the Purge were in the ring. It looked like the numbers game was going to help the Purge but Daemon overpowered them. He tossed Francis at Shrader and started to take out Artemis. Daemon started handing out chokeslams like they were going out of style. The end came when Daemon hit his Twist of Cain (Jumping Twisting Tombstone) and then piled all three members up and pinned all three at the same time.
WINNER: Daniel Daemon via pinfall @ 3:42
Daemon motioned for the title around his waist after the match as the fans booed.
Gemma Foster: Does this mean Daemon is going to Next Level: Revolution as the #1 contender?
Scott Parker: I think the statement has been made. Plus, would you tell him at this point?
Extreme Division Match
Allen Chaney Vs. Kaito Hirano
The crowd was excited for this one as the two came out to the ring. It was talked about how both had competed in BWF and were looking for their place in Empire Wrestling. The two had a back and forth bout as they went blow for blow. Hirano hit a few vicious kicks to the legs of Chaney and Chaney came right back with hard forearms. Things quickly came unglued as Hirano pulled out a kendo stick and unloaded on Chaney. Chaney grabbed a pair of nunchucks from underneath the ring. He showed off with them as he approached Hirano and then hit him with a hard kick to the gut and followed it up with the Set Up (Double Arm DDT). Chaney rolled out of the ring and set up a table on the outside. After some back and forth back in the ring, Chaney was trying to pull Hirano to the top rope with the clear intent on sending him flying to the table below. Gio DeLuca rushed down to the ring with a chair and cracked it onto the back of Chaney. DeLuca pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and hit Hirano in the forehead with a hard strike.
Scott Parker: Gio DeLuca trying to send a message to his other Extreme Division competitors.
DeLuca tried to push Chaney off the top rope and onto the table but Chaney started to battle back. Austin Scott was the next to rush out and climbed to the top with both Gio and Chaney and tried to push them off. It wasn’t long before Hirano was on the ring apron trying to powerbomb Chaney, who had a hold on DeLuca, who was holding onto Scott. The crowd popped as Zoey Mathews-Mitchell rushed down and ended up on the apron as well. She grabbed Hirano from behind and used everyone’s momentum to hit a German suplex on Hirano, sending all 4 men crashing to the floor below, obliterating the table into pieces.
Gemma Foster: Oh my god!
The crowd was going nuts. Mathews-Mitchell was fired up as the referee checked on everyone. Chaney somehow crawled over to Hirano and laid on top of him.
Scott Parker: Is Chaney covering Kaito right now? How is he even moving!?
The referee turned to see Chaney and made a count on the outside and called for the bell.
WINNER: Allen Chaney via pinfall @ 9:04
Josh Goldstein Vs. Casey Grey Vs. Bailey Mayhew
It came time for the main event and Goldstein showed off the Primetime Championship in the ring and the fans cheered him on. All eyes were on the champion as Mayhew and Grey circled around him.
Gemma Foster: A big target on the back of the Jew Blazer here as Mayhew and Grey look to score a big win. Grey being the former champion and Mayhew on the cusp of really being a contender here in Empire Wrestling.
Goldstein struck Mayhew with a right hand and then Grey attacked Goldstein. The action didn’t stop as all three competitors tried to gain the advantage. A big swing in momentum came when Goldstein hit his Brooklyn Quebrada (Springboard Moonsault inverted DDT) on Mayhew and then a big boot on Grey. Grey was staggered and it allowed Goldstein to roll her up with a crucifix pin attempt but he only got two as Mayhew broke it up. Mayhew then hit a big Lockjaw (Osaka Stunner) on Goldstein and covered but got two as he kicked out. Grey was up and hit Mayhew with the Racklash (Rack Attack) and covered for two as Grey got her foot on the ropes. Grey was in a bit of disbelief before being distracted by someone coming out to the stage. L2N seemed furious as she tossed her jacket at the crowd and stormed down. Grey rolled out of the ring as L2N superkicked the first person to move which happened to be Bailey Mayhew. L2N grabbed Goldstein and dragged him to the center of the ring.
Scott Parker: It’s L2N again and she looks upset over what happened with FM earlier.
L2N yells at Goldstein to “tell FM hi” as she drives a knee into the side of his head, holding his arm as he sat.
Gemma Foster: L2N exploiting the past relationship with Josh and FM.
L2N set him up for the Headline (Eat Defeat) but Grey was back in the ring and pulled her away. Grey pushed L2N away and the crowd popped as FM Young had rushed to the ring and hit L2N with a big spear!
Scott Parker: Here they go again!
L2N and Young rolled out of the ring in a brawl. Grey was spun around by Mayhew who hit her with a Lockjaw as the match was still going on! Goldstein grabbed Mayhew from behind and rolled her up before she could go after Grey and he picked up a shocking pinfall.
WINNER: Josh Goldstein via pinfall @ 14:53
As soon as the bell sounded, Goldstein jumped to his feet and launched himself over the top ropes to help Young take out L2N. L2N fell backwards into the barricade and had to ready herself quickly and speared Goldstein into the apron. Young grabbed L2N but trainers were quickly there pulling them apart.
Scott Parker: These two just can’t stop!
Gemma Foster: FM Young was put on the shelf because of L2N! She has it coming! It’s about time someone stood up to L2N!
The show ended with a shot of L2N and Young screaming at each other.
Gemma Foster: We have no idea what’s on tap for tonight either! Everything has been kept a secret.
Scott Parker: There’s a lot of excitement in the air-
