Superstar History: There isn't much to tell, which is a good thing because not much is known. AJ Adams was born and raised in LA to separated parents. He doesn't remember them ever being together and never really cared for his father anyway.
In high school, AJ didn't really fit into any of the groups that you'd normally find. He wasn't a jock, wasn't a nerd, but wasn't goth. Though, sometimes he seemed to look like he belonged there. Some say he has the 'emo' look but to him, that's just how he looks. He learned that you have to take care of number one first, yourself. He decided to enter the world of wrestling at the age of 22 and has floated from small fed to small fed for 2 years. At age 24, he signed his TGW contract and attacked Camisado on an episode of Animosity.
Adams would spend the next few weeks fighting his way to the top of the ladder and eventually received a shot at the TGW World Title. In one of the company's best matches at that point, Adams was able to defeat Cody Only to capture the vacant title. It was a short lived reign however as he was forced to defend in a double fall match where the first fall was for the Volitionary Title and the second his World title. David Blazenwing was able to capture the title in that match.
Adams would then take a short leave, coming back with Russell Francis locked in his sights. The two men would battle often and cost each other many matches along the way. Francis and Adams would be forced to team up by Alli Taylor (who ran TGW at the time) and shocked her and the world by capturing the NeWA Tag Team Championship. The two men tried to work together to rid TGW of Alli Taylor, before the team broke down. They dropped the titles a few weeks later after a miscommunication led the two men to once again be at each others throats. TGW closed in February and Adams spend the next few months traveling and staying in shape, however staying out of the ring.
A week before the November 3rd Animosity in the newly re-opened TGW, a hacker attacked the TGW website with images saying "Be Prepared" and another with a set of crosshairs over the TGW Champion Emily Corlen. On the 3rd, Adams attacked Corlen after her match and left her laying in the ring with the Last Call. Adams has returned to the TGW ring with his sights set on the prize.
Adams tried but could not defeat Emily Corlen and finally set his sights on the TGW Volitionary Championship. After defeating Lucious Starr for the prize he became the only man to hold both singles titles in TGW. AFter True Glory closed and reopened as RXW, Adams was given the RXW US Championship, carrying it for 42 days before losing it to Outlaw.
Now AJ Adams is set to return to wrestling as a member of the BWF. This time no grand countdown, no secret promos. He wants the world to know he's coming and to respect him. He achieved just that at Danger Zone, when he bested four other men to win only the eighth Hellbound Match in history and claim the vacant BWF World Championship! Adams would hold the title until Happenstance, where Kyle Cross would defeat him in a bloody No Holds Barred Match to claim the title in Adams' hometown of Los Angeles. Adams got his revenge a month later, however, when he would regain the title from Cross in Kyle's hometown of Toronto, Ontario!
AJ Adams had a legendary BWF career, becoming a 4 time BWF World Champion. From battles with Allen Chaney, Elena Simonova, Fenryr, Sabrina Scott, and more, Adams would go on to become the longest reigning BWF World Champion, the most reigns, and have the most combined days as champion ever. Adams stepped away from BWF after his battles with his then ex, Sabrina Scott. AJ was obsessed with being the champ and it ruined his love life with Scott. Adams even turned his back on the fans and looked out for "himself and no one else". After many months away, AJ came back to make a save on Fenryr's attack on Sabrina Scott. While the two never got back together, AJ claimed himself a better man for his time away, using it to find himself.
He's come to Empire Wrestling to continue to "write his legacy" and to put on the best matches for fans that he can.
