EW Tag Team Championship
Freaks with Benefits (Krista May Williams/Kayla Taylor) [c] Vs. Glorious Bastards (Johnny and Ollie Maverick)
The show got kicked off with a bang with championship gold on the line. The crowd was excited for the Maverick brothers as they made their way to the ring. The Freaks were out next and stood at the top of the ramp showing off their titles. As they got into the ring, Kayla tossed her hat at Ollie as they referee held him back.
Scott Parker: Mind games from Kayla.
The match was announced and the bell sounded. The Champs rolled out of the ring and kept up with the games as they pretended to talk strategy. Ollie rolled out of the ring to go after them but Krista rolled into the ring and Kayla walked away. As soon as Ollie rolled back into the ring Krista went out and Kayla got in. Ollie went for Kayla but she tagged out and both Freaks dropped to the floor on the outside. Johnny had enough and jumped down from the apron and circled the ring and had the Freaks standing at the bottom of the ramp. He started to chat back and forth with the Freaks and had their attention as Ollie came flying over the top ropes with a Tope Con Hilo! Johnny cheered and helped Ollie up and they both grabbed Krista and rolled her into the ring. Ollie chased after her and hit a jumping leg drop across the chest of Krista before rolling into a two count cover. Krista tried to pull herself together but the Bastards took control of the match for the next couple minutes. Kayla kept trying to tag in but both Mavericks were able to keep Krista away from the corner. The match started to turn after Krista hit a dropkick to the knee of Johnny before hitting a flipping neckbreaker. Both competitors were down and made big tags. Kayla hit Ollie with a running knee to the gut that took the air right out of him. She measured him up and hit him with the Stamp It Out (Superkick to opponent on knees[Avada Kedavra-WWE 2k15). She covered but only got two. Kayla started to set up for the Broadway Lights (Cross Rhodes) but Ollie got free and hit Kayla with a big elbow to the face. He lifted Kayla up and Johnny came out of nowhere and they hit her with the Third Eye Massacre (Flapjack by Ollie into a single knee Facebreaker from Johnny)! Ollie covered and would’ve had three but Krista pulled Ollie out of the ring. She sent him into the steel steps as the referee yelled at her to get into her corner. Johnny went chasing after Krista and they fought up the ramp and into the backstage area. Kayla was still down in the middle of the ring and the fans lost it as Rocket, yes, the racoon mascot of the Bastards, scurried down the ramp. He slowly climbed up the stairs and his way to the top ropes.
Gemma Foster: This isn’t happening right now.
Rocket came off the top as the referee watched on in confusion and he pounced on Kayla. He scurried away as Ollie climbed to the top ropes. Ollie dove with a big splash and landed on Kayla but she used the momentum to grab onto Ollie and roll him up. One. Two. Kickout!
Scott Parker: Ollie kicks out!
Both competitors were slow but had no one to tag. Ollie looked for the 360 No-Scope! (Jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick) but Kayla ducked it and hit the Broadway Lights. She crawled into a cover, had her feet on the ropes to help her, and Johnny was running to the ring and slid in but the referee just counted to three as he missed her feet!
WINNERS AND STILL EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Freaks with Benefits via pinfall @ 15:32
Kayla rolled out of the ring and fell to the floor as Johnny pleaded with the referee. Kayla grabbed both titles and crawled up the ramp before Krista came stumbling out and helped her up to celebrate.
Scott Parker: The Freaks steal one here to kick off the show.
Shouldn’t Be Here
Alicia Monroe staggers through the back of the arena as if she’s had a little too much to drink. She holds her hand out to steady herself, but only succeeds in toppling over a production box and then following it to the floor. She rolls onto her back as a group of trainers walk up to her. She looks up at them.
Alicia Monroe: Security…
One of the trainers leans over her.
Trainer: Alicia…are you okay?
Alicia coughs. There is blood on her lips.
Alicia Monroe: Security. Masks…
The trainers look at each other, shrug, and then back down at Alicia. She seems to be trying to sit up. There is a loud thud then, the POV shifts as the camera falls to the ground. The screen goes from full color to a grainy black and white as two people have attacked the trainers. The picture quality has degraded enough that it is impossible to tell who they are, but the audio is working fine. The trainers are being beaten savagely as Alicia screams. The pair stop beating on the trainers.
Silence from the video feed.
Alicia Monroe: What…what do you want?
The two people don’t respond. Instead they pull Alicia to her feet and drag her, kicking and screaming, away.
Primetime Championship #1 Contender Match
AJ Adams Vs. Talia Areano Vs. Bailey Mayhew
Adams was the fan favorite going into the match and it was by a mile as the fans gave him a loud ovation. Areano and Mayhew came out next and it was clear to see this match was important to these three as they all seemed focused and ready to go. The action was fast paced as Areano was flying all around the ring while Mayhew and Adams tried to slow her down. Mayhew rocked Areano with the Hurricane Bailey (Cyclone Kick) and Areano rolled out of the ring. Adams had Mayhew and tried to lock in the Lights Out (Tazzmission) but Mayhew pushed him into the corner.
Gemma Foster: Everyone trying to end this match quickly.
Mayhew spun around and hit a big uppercut on Adams. She tried to jump up for a hurricanrana but he countered into a sit out powerbomb. Adams rolled to his feet and pulled Mayhew up. He drove elbows into the shoulder and neck area of Mayhew to wear her down. He connected with a big German suplex and rolled back to his feet. Areano came flying off the top ropes and connected with a dropkick. Adams rolled to his knees and Areano followed it up with a shining wizard. She covered but only got two! Areano turned her attention to Mayhew and connected with the Slice of Heaven (Sliced Bread #2). As she rolled to her knees, Adams was there and locked in the Lights Out! Areano started to slowly drop to a knee and Adams fell to the mat and grapevined her. She refused to tap and looked about out of it. Mayhew came flying off the top ropes and hit Not Just Another Frog Splash to break the hold!
Scott Parker: All three competitors dueling to become the #1 contender for the Primetime Championship here tonight and they’re laying it all on the line!
Mayhew crawled over to Adams and covered but he kicked out at two. She then crawled over to Areano and covered for two. Mayhew couldn’t believe it and got to her feet. She squared up with Adams and he ducked the Hurricane Bailey. He spun Mayhew around and hit the Last Call (Codebreaker). Adams was fired up and started to stalk her for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Areano hit Adams with a dropkick from behind and he went into the corner before Areano tossed Mayhew out of the ring. Areano rolled Adams up with a school boy roll up and picked up a win!
WINNER: Talia Areano via pinfall @ 12:09
Scott Parker: Talia has earned a shot at the Primetime Championship!
Gemma Foster: A big win for Talia here in Empire Wrestling!
EW Extreme Championship
Extreme Division Battle Royal
The rules of the match were explained as they were on EW’s Twitter page and we were set to crown the first Extreme Champion. Lio Walsh, Austin Scott, Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, Kaito Hirano, Allen Chaney, Gio DeLuca, and Samantha Hamilton all stood in the middle of the ring. The 15 minute timer appeared on the screen and we were ready to kick things off. The bell sounded and mayhem ensued. Everyone was throwing kicks, punches, and a few headbutts around the ring. DeLuca tried to roll Chaney up with a school boy pin but Chaney easily kicked out and then kicked DeLuca in the face as he rolled to his feet. Scott leveled Hirano with the Straight Whiskey (Running lariat). Zoey had Walsh down in the corner and Scott came charging over with Goin' Muddin' (Opponent is seated in the corner, charges and connects with a running knee to the skull). Hamilton then hit Scott with a running big boot and he rolled to the outside after hitting the mat. Chaney rolled back into the ring with a steel chair and he cracked it across the back of Hirano before dropping him with a Set Up (Double Arm DDT) right onto the chair and covered, picking up the match’s first pinfall.
Unofficial Champion: Allen Chaney
Scott Parker: Chaney has a huge target on his back now as everyone will be gunning for him.
We were about 4 minutes into the match as the action picked back up with Zoey hitting her Faceplant (Famouser) on Hamilton. Zoey rolled to the outside and grabbed a kendo stick and was fired up. She went to town and cracked it over the head of Scott first. DeLuca came jumping off the apron with a double axe handle but she caught him midair with a hard shot. Zoey rolled into the ring and hit Chaney with multiple shots with the kendo stick. She used it to assist her in a Russian leg sweep. Zoey was about to go for a cover but Walsh grabbed her and hit her with the Made of Nightmares (Rock Bottom). Hamilton came off the second rope with an elbow drop on Chaney and covered to pick up the pin.
Unofficial Champion: Samantha Hamilton
We were now nearing 8 minutes in. Walsh pulled Hamilton in and drove her head first into the chair Chaney had brought in with his Reign Over (Dirty Deeds). He covered and picked up the three count.
Unofficial Champion Lio Walsh
Hirano was back in the ring and caught Walsh with a buzzsaw kick before he could get up. He pulled Walsh up and connected with his Osaka Bomb (Code Red). Chaney grabbed Hirano and delivered a powerbomb. Walsh started to slowly stir and Chaney delivered his Aristocrats (Curb Stomp) and covered for a three count.
Unofficial Champion: Allen Chaney
9:30 into the match. Hamilton had set up two tables side by side on the outside and then a table on both of them. She climbed into the ring with a chair in hand and Scott had the air taken out of him with a shot to the gut. DeLuca came over and hit him with an ace cutter. He jumped up and hit Hirano with a cutter. DeLuca went for a cutter on Chaney but he was pushed away. Hamilton lifted DeLuca up and delivered the Zeus's Wrath (One Winged Angel). Chaney was to the top as he wanted to hit his WTFFFF (Watch the Funny Fat Fuck Fly) (Moonsault) but Zoey was there with a kick to the back of the knee to hang him up on the top ropes. She climbed after him as the other competitors battled in and around the ring.
Gemma Foster: What is she thinking?
Zoey had Chaney standing on the top rope and looked behind her. She delivered the Z4 (C4/Flip Bottom/Spanish Fly) to the outside, through the tables!
Scott Parker: Oh my god!
“Holy shit” chants broke out as Zoey was able to put an arm over Chaney for three.
Unofficial Champion: Zoey Mathews-Mitchell
We were at 13 minutes and a 2 minute warning was announced. Everyone scrambled to get to Zoey who was still out from the Z4 and breaking of the tables. Scott pulled her out of the pile and covered but Hamilton pulled him off and pushed him away. She covered and Scott pulled her off. They tackled each other as Gio DeLuca snuck over and covered for three.
Unofficial Champion: Gio DeLuca
There was a minute let.
Gemma Foster: There’s no way that Gio DeLuca is going to sneak away with the championship!
DeLuca hid under the ring but was spotted by Walsh who pulled him out. Gio jumped into the ring and ran into a roundhouse kick from Hirano. Hamilton was back in and battled with Hirano. Walsh grabbed DeLuca and hit the Made of Nightmares. He went into a cover but Hamilton pulled him off and dumped him to the outside. Hamilton covered and got the three.
Unofficial Champion: Samantha Hamilton
10 seconds left. Hamilton grabbed the steel chair and started to swing it around to keep everyone away. The crowd counted along as the buzzer sounded!
WINNER AND NEW EW EXTREME CHAMPION: Samantha Hamilton
Scott Parker: Sam Hamilton did it!
She was handed the championship and raised it high in celebration. Walsh looked on from the outside and smirked and gave her a slow clap, saying he was coming for her title. The rest of the competitors all looked on as Hamilton celebrated.
Gemma Foster: What a match!
Pamela?
Casey Grey: What the hell?!
Casey Grey storms through the back, kicking open doors and searching for Alicia. Rune follows close behind. They reach the scene of the attack where a group of trainers are checking on the two victims of the attack earlier.
Casey Grey: Where is she?
Rune Sigidottir: I don’t know.
Casey Grey: Not you!
Casey turns her attention back to the trainers.
Casey Grey: Tell me!
The trainers don’t say anything, just shrug and shake their heads. Rune moves to stand in front of Casey.
Rune Sigidottir: Casey, I’ll deal with this and find Alicia. You have a match to focus on. I need you to go out there and get that title back, okay? I’ll find her for you, I promise.
Casey Grey: We don’t know who these people are. You can’t go out alone and look for them.
Rune chuckles.
Rune Sigidottir: I’m not afraid, Casey. I can handle myself here, okay? Just go. Go and win your match. I’ll have Alicia safe by the time everything is over.
Casey storms away, then yells from off screen.
Casey Grey: She better be okay!
Rune puts her hands on her hips and shakes her head. One of the trainers walks up to her.
Trainer: They went…
Rune Sigidottir: Shut up.
Rune turns and walks away, following the same path Alicia’s attackers took.
EW Primetime Championship
Josh Goldstein [c] Vs. Casey Grey
Grey tossed her hair into the crowd as Goldstein was taking off his cape. He tossed it out of the ring and Grey was right there to lock up with him. Grey quickly flipped Goldstein down to the mat and locked in a sleeper. She cranked the neck of Goldstein and would even drive elbows into his shoulder and neck area. The violent strikes kept Goldstein grounded. He tried to slip away but Grey went for the Bitch Muzzle (Crossface) but he was able to grab the ropes for a break. He got to his feet and lifted her up and over the top ropes with a back drop as she charged.
Gemma Foster: Casey is coming at Josh fast and furious.
Scott Parker: It’s been a rough couple months for her and tonight's no different. You know her mind isn’t 100% in the match with no one being able to find Alicia Monroe.
Goldstein hit Grey with an enziguri and she fell to the floor below. Goldstein took Grey out with a somersault plancha and was fired up. He rolled her into the ring and climbed to the apron and then the top ropes. She was to her feet and Goldstein hit a crossbody! He went for a cover but for just two. Grey quickly floated into the Bitch Muzzle and had it locked in.
Gemma Foster: Casey’s trying to end things quickly!
Goldstein struggled and she started to lose her grip. He slipped away just enough to get his knees under him and push back, pinning Grey’s shoulders to the mat for two. Both competitors got to their feet and exchanged blows. They went back and forth, each getting a small series of moves in before the other started to mount a comeback. Goldstein looked for a victory roll but only got two. Grey popped Goldstein with the Breath Mint (Forearm Smash). She started to lift him up and had him on her shoulders. She was looking for the Racklash (Rack Attack) but Goldstein slipped free. He hit her with the Chutzpah Boot (Running Bicycle Kick). He covered and picked up the win!
WINNER AND STILL EW PRIMETIME CHAMPION: Josh Goldstein via pinfall @ 10:35
Goldstein was handed the championship and he celebrated with the fans as Grey watched on. He made his way to the back as she looked around as Rune came down to check on her.
No One’s Ever Really Gone
Rune climbs the steps and enters the ring, carrying a microphone. Casey stands across from her, calming down after her match.
Rune Sigidottir: Casey, I came down here to tell you. I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is that I found Alicia.
An image pops up on the screen from backstage. It’s Alicia, tied to a chair, seemingly unconscious. There is duct tape over her mouth. Someone steps in front of the camera and hangs a homemade sign around her neck. When they step away it can be read.
“Secret Keeper”.
Casey looks distressed, and crosses the ring as if she’s going to leave. Rune stops her.
Rune Sigidottir: Whoa, Tiger. Just hold on a second, won’t take long.
Casey Grey: That’s my cousin, Rune! I’m going to get her.
Rune accentuates her next statement by jabbing her finger into Casey’s chest repeatedly.
Rune Sigidottir: Oh, Casey. You. Aren’t going. Anywhere.
Casey looks down at Rune’s finger, then back at Rune.
Casey Grey: Have you lost your whole damn-
Two people jump over the rail and charge into the ring. When Casey turns to see who it is, it becomes obvious that it’s Fenryr Wulfsson and Karli Frost. Rune shoves Casey forward into a savage clothesline from Fenryr. Karli jumps onto her and begins to throw hard rights and lefts.
Scott Parker: That’s Ragnarok! Fenryr Wulfsson and Karli Frost are here in Empire Wrestling!
Rune watches with half a smile as Fenryr stands near the ropes as if waiting for anyone to show up to help. Karli pulls Casey up and into an Afterglow (Gory Neckbreaker). Karli is quick to her feet and kicks Casey once before Rune stops her. Karli joins Fenryr near the ropes as Rune leans over Casey.
Rune Sigidottir: The best part, Casey? I’m not through with you yet. There is so much more to come. That bad news I had for you? We’re back.
Rune straightens up to her full height again, this time addressing the fans.
Rune Sigidottir: I am so glad this is over. It’s been so tedious following these two around like I give a damn about what happens to them or their careers but, even more annoying, pretending like I care at all about what any of you fans think. And for all of you that I told to watch your backs, you’ll be dealt with on my schedule.
As Karli and Rune leave the ring, Casey begins to stir. As Fenryr starts to climb through the ropes, she gets to her hands and knees. Fenryr stops, then charges at her and kicks her in the ribs. He then pulls her to her feet and throws her over the top rope. She slams into the guardrail without touching the ground first, sending it into the second row of fans. Fenryr leaves the ring and after Ragnarok clears the ramp, trainers rush down to check on Casey.
F.M. Young Vs. L2N
This match wasn’t so much a match as it was a fight. L2N tried to attack Young on the ramp but Young was ready. The two brawled down to the ring and up and over the announcers table. Young bounced L2N’s head off the table and then pushed her into the barricade.
Gemma Foster: A lot of resentment towards L2N from FM. FM just coming off the shelf wants to send a message to the woman responsible.
Young went to sent L2N into the steel steps, the same thing that L2N did to her to injure her, but L2N dove over the steps. She turned and Young came running off the steps with a big superman punch! The fans were eating it up and the match hadn’t officially started yet. Young finally got L2N into the ring and started to stalk her. Young looked for a DDT but L2N spun away and popped her with a superkick. Young dropped to a knee and L2N came back from the ropes with a shining wizard. L2N stumbled into the corner to gather herself. Young was up and ducked L2N’s superkick and dropped her to the mat after a Stand Alone Complex (Elevated gutbuster). Young looked for a cover but two was the count. L2N slipped out of the ring and tried leaving as Young went after her, the referee counting. The two were exchanging blows and kicks to the legs and sides. They were back to the ramp and the count was at 4. Young hit L2N with a DDT on the stage at 6. L2N rolled off the stage and landed on a few crates a few feet down. 8. The referee yelled up to Young who looked at him and then back to L2N. She dove off the stage with the Battery Powered Bombshell (Shooting Star Senton) and L2N rolled out of the way and Young crashed into the crates as the referee called for the bell!
NO CONTEST DUE TO DOUBLE COUNTOUT @ 5:04
Gemma Foster: FM was just looking for some revenge here tonight. It wasn’t about wins or losses but right now it’s looking pretty even.
L2N started to crawl away as Young crawled after her. Young landed a hard punch as they both staggered to their feet, climbing to the stage. Young tried to powerbomb L2N off the stage but someone in a hoodie and mask rushed out and pulled L2N down from Young’s shoulders. Young turned and started to land blows on the masked character and L2N dropped her with a superkick.
Scott Parker: Come on! Someone’s with L2N? The numbers adding up quickly here.
The mystery person held L2N back as trainers came out to break up the scuffle.
EW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Chelsea Pryce [c] Vs. Daniel Daemon
Daemon. The Challenger. He was almost emotionless as he came to the ring. Focused.
Pryce. The Champion. She basked in the cheers from the fans as she stood on the stage.
They were ready for battle.
Before things could get started there was an interruption. The Powers that Be sent out their liaison, Sara Logan. She stood on the stage in her pantsuit before speaking.
Sara Logan: I’m not going to take up your time but I’m here to announce that this match is now a falls count anywhere match!
Pryce was shocked as the fans cheered.
The bell sounded and we got underway. Pryce didn’t back down and landed the first blow on Daemon. She was smart and focused on the knees of Daemon with kicks and chop blocks. He got to a knee and she hit the ropes but he grabbed her by the throat on her return. Daemon looked for a hip toss and Pryce landed against the turnbuckles and fell to the mat. Daemon lifted her with ease and then sent her flying across the ring again. She rolled to her feet and charged, hitting Daemon with a dropkick to the knee. He fell to a knee and she spiked his head into the mat with a running head scissors. He started to stand and she caught him with the KO Shot (Roundhouse Kick). She looked for a cover and right at two he kicked out and she went through the middle ropes and to the apron with the forceful kickout. Daemon was up and charged, pushing Pryce off the apron and to the floor. He went after her and the referee carried the title with him.
Gemma Foster: Here we go!
The two competitors battled with hard shots. For every shot Pryce took, Daemon had an answer. It forced her up the ramp and he lifted her onto his shoulder. He was ready to lawn dart her into the stage but Pryce slid off him and sent him face first into the stage. The fight continued backstage.
Pryce. The Champion.
Daemon. The Challenger.
They were throwing everything they could at each other and in typical backstage brawl they sent each other over tables and crates. Pryce speared Daemon through a tower of cardboard boxes. Things got dangerous a bit later as Daemon had some audio cables wrapped around the throat of Pryce, trying to choke her out. She refused to quit however and grabbed a small monitor and hit Daemon in the head. Both competitors were down but Daemon was stirring soon. Daemon climbed onto a small ledge and was about 7 feet higher than Pryce. There was a rolling equipment box that had to weigh 40-50 pounds, if not more. Daemon started to roll it towards the edge and planned on dropping it on Pryce.
Scott Parker: Someone get in there and stop this! He’s going to kill her!
The referee pleaded with Daemon to stop. He dropped the title and helped move Pryce out of the way just in time. The box came crashing down onto the Heavyweight Championship! Daemon looked… angry. He climbed down and Pryce hit him with a low blow. She hit the Pay the Pryce (Double Knee Facebreaker). She covered. The crowd couldn’t believe it as Daemon kicked out.
Gemma Foster: What!?
Pryce was spent and tried to lock in the Natural Disaster (Cross Legged STF) but Daemon was able to struggle free. He got to his feet and grabbed Pryce by the throat. He looked for a chokeslam but she spun away in the air. She landed on her feet but was leveled with the Inquisition (Lariat). Daemon stood over Pryce as she reached up, trying to sit up. He pulled her up and tossed her into the wall and she crumbled to the ground. She pulled herself up and squared up, not giving up.
Scott Parker: No quit in Chelsea here tonight!
Pryce got behind Daemon and looked for the Black Out (Rear Naked Choke) but he backed into a wall. He pulled Pryce up to his shoulders and hit a running powerslam onto a table. He sat up and put his hands on Pryce as the referee counted to three.
WINNER AND NEW EW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Daniel Daemon via pinfall @ 20:11
Scott Parker: There’s a new champion! The devil of Empire Wrestling is champion.
The referee checked on Pryce as Daemon stood and walked to the other side of the hallway. He lifted the equipment box and pulled out the Heavyweight Championship.
Gemma Foster: Scott, look at the championship.
The belt had cracked in multiple spots on the plate and Daemon smiled as he looked at it. He held it out and let out a laugh.
Scott Parker: Daniel Daemon holds the broken championship as he just took out Chelsea Pryce.
The final shot is of Daemon sitting on a box with the title over his shoulder.
Gemma Foster: It’ll be an action packed night here in Los Angeles, California!
