Episode #25 - October 23, 2019
Scott Parker:Welcome to episode 25 of Hype! We have another amazing show for you tonight, folks.
Gemma Foster: I can’t wait to see Chelsea Pryce get her hands on Lacy Nelson!
Scott Parker: That’s our main event of the evening. Our Primetime Champion will also see action as AJ Adams will face Casey Grey in a non-title match.
Gemma Foster: It’s been a rough few months for Casey but a win tonight could put her right back into the Primetime Championship picture.
Scott Parker: Things are heating up across all divisions here in Empire Wrestling. Including our new Tag Team Champions, the Midnight Special. Did you see their Aftershock promo this week? I’ve been searching for who trained them and who they are bringing but.-
Gemma Foster: I have an inside scoop and let me tell you, it’s going to be a shock. It should put everyone on alert. But that’s for them to announce! Let’s not forget about Dave Blazenwing in action tonight against FM Young in what should be a classic.
AJ Adams Vs. Casey Grey
The Primetime Champion AJ Adams was out to kick off the show as he received a nice cheer from the fans. He showed off the championship and sat in the corner as he awaited Grey. Grey stepped out to the stage and took a knee as she looked down to Adams. He stood and leaned over the top rope and held up the Primetime Championship.
Gemma Foster: Casey Grey still says that’s HER Primetime Championship. You know she wants it back.
Grey made her way down to the ring and we were set to get things started. Before the match could start Adams and Grey were interrupted by Sara Logan, the liaison for EW Management.
Sara Logan: While we all may be excited for this match, after a lot of thought, EW Management has opted to change things up a little bit tonight. Card subject to change and all that. Tonight the two of you will be teaming up with Ollie Maverick. The three of you will take on Ragnarok and Gio DeLuca.
Ragnarok and DeLuca jumped into the ring from behind Adams and Grey. The trio got the upper hand with the sneak attack. Ollie Maverick rushed down to the ring to make the save. The six competitors exchanged blows. Adams and Fenryr exploded with furious blows.
Gemma Foster: It was only a matter of time before Fenryr and AJ crossed paths! These two had a storied rivalry.
Fenryr drove Adams with a belly to belly suplex. Fenryr jumped up but was hit with a running dropkick from Grey! Fenryr rolled up and was hit with a crossbody from Ollie Maverick! Oliie jumped up and tossed DeLuca out of the ring.
Gemma Foster: This is just an all out brawl!
The referee tossed the match out before it could even start as Grey and Adams came to blows after trying to get after Fenryr.
Scott Parker: AJ and Casey were ready to fight tonight and they aren’t letting anything stop them.
Ollie Maverick tried to get the two of them to stop fighting so they could start the match but he was pushed away. DeLuca tackled him out of the ring and the two started to brawl. In the ring, Ragnarok jumped Adams and Grey again and had them cornered. The crowd buzzed as the Tag Team Champions Midnight Special jumped into the ring and started to assault Ragnarok. They rushed Fenryr and sent him into the post. Frost tried to attack Cherry and Carbine. She hit Cherry with a forearm to the face but he pushed her into Carbine. Carbine caught her and the duo delivered the Ultimate X-Plex (Carbine hits an X-Plex and Cherry catches them with a Back Stabber on the way down.).
Gemma Foster: The Midnight Special is here!
Adams stood behind Midnight Special waiting to strike. The lights went out for just a few moments and when they came back up former EW World Champion Ben Macbeth was standing behind Adams. Adams turned and was rocked with the From Parts Unknown (360 Buzzsaw Kick)!
Scott Parker: It’s Ben Macbeth!
Gemma Foster: That must be who Cherry and Carbine were talking about on Aftershock!
Scott Parker: Well they just send a SHOCK throughout Empire Wrestling.
Macbeth stood over Adams as Midnight Special brought in the Tag Titles and the Primetime Championship. Macbeth briefly held the Primetime Championship before laying it down beside Adams.
David Blazenwing Vs. FM Young
Scott Parker: This should be an amazing match!
Young made her way to the ring first to a nice cheer from the crowd. She shadowboxed as she stood in the ring and started to stretch. The crowd gave Blazenwing a nice pop as well as he made his way to the ring. He stood on the outside of the ring and looked in at Young. The two shared words before Blazenwing jumped onto the apron and then climbed to the top turnbuckle and gave the fans a pose. He jumped into the ring and the match got underway. The two quickly locked up and Young powered Blazenwing into the ropes. Blazenwing pushed Young away and stepped back to her and right into a hip toss. Blazenwing rolled to his feet and was rocked with a back elbow to the face. Blazenwing hit Young with discus clothesline that flipped her inside out. Young rolled out of the ring and Blazenwing went right after her, not giving her space. Blazenwing sent her shoulder first into the barricade.
Scott Parker: Dave showing why he’s such a good ring technician by targeting the once injured shoulder of FM Young.
Blazenwing rolled Young back into the ring and went after her. Blazenwing went to pull her up but Young pulled him down with a small package for a two count. Young and Blazenwing popped back up. Young jumped up and took Blazenwing down with a cutter! Young climbed to the second rope and hit a leg drop onto Blazenwing. Young slowly pulled Blazenwing back to his feet and pulled him into position for a DDT. Blazenwing countered into a northern lights suplex. He rolled to his feet and Young wasn’t too far behind. He charged and hit a jumping forearm that dropped Young. She rolled to her feet and Blazenwing pulled her into position and delivered a double underhook backbreaker. He quickly jumped up and landed a stomp onto her shoulder. He dropped to a knee and locked in a crossface chickenwing. Young refused to quit and tried to get to her feet. She was finally able to push off her feet and drive Blazenwing into the corner. She turned and jumped up, hitting Blazenwing with a knee strike to the face. Young pulled him out of the corner and looked for the Amazon Rage (Lumbar Check) but Blazenwing delivered a hard elbow strike to the head before she could lift him. He pulled Young down into the Firehawk Lock (Crossface) and Young was forced to tap out.
WINNER: Dave Blazenwing via submission @ 17:44
Blazenwing released the hold and leaned into the ropes as he was announced the winner. He looked up at the ramp as Daniel Daemon now stood at the top. Dressed in a suit and holding the EW World Championship he just gave Blazenwing and Young a stare and one single clap.
Gemma Foster: The Emperor of Empire out here scouting potential challengers to the throne.
Scott Parker: And he doesn’t seem impressed.
Blazenwing smirked and put his arms out and then motioned for Daemon to come down to the ring but the champ scoffed and walked out.
Gemma Foster: NOT WORTHY!
Chelsea Pryce Vs. Lacy Nelson
It was time for the main event and the fans were going nuts for our match up. Nelson came to the ring first and tore up a Pryce sign on the way down the ramp.
Gemma Foster: Lacy has been sweet-talking Chelsea all week but obviously no one has fallen for it. Lacy is out here tonight to shock everyone.
Scott Parker: And Chelsea is going to be out here to snap the ankle of Lacy and earn a championship match.
Pryce was out next to a big cheer from the crowd. Pryce stood at the top of the ramp briefly before charging the ring. She slid in under the ropes and jumped right up and went for Nelson. As soon as she hit her feet connected with a roaring elbow. Lacy fell backwards into the ropes and was taken up and over them with a clothesline. Nelson landed on the apron and pulled herself up. Nelson kept rolling and made it to a corner and pulled herself up. Pryce charged and ran into a knee to the face. Pryce staggered and Nelson jumped up to the second turnbuckle. Nelson pulled Pryce up and set her up with a double underhook. She looked for a powerbomb but Pryce countered into a spiked hurricanrana. Nelson staggered to her feet but was dropped with Vengeful Bitch (Cobra Clutch Slam). Pryce looked to lock in the Natural Disaster (Cross-Legged STF) but Nelson struggled to the ropes and forced a break before Pryce could lock it in completely.
Gemma Foster: That was going to be it!
Scott Parker: Wait!
Pryce pulled Nelson into the middle of the ring and locked in an anklelock! Nelson kept trying to get to the ropes but Pryce would walk her back into the middle of the ring.
Scott Parker: Anklelock!
Nelson was able to spin around and kick Pryce in the face but the damage might have been done as she grabbed her ankle as Pryce shook off the kick. Pryce went for another anklelock but Nelson rolled her up with a small package for a two count. The both got to their feet and Nelson hit a forearm to the face of Pryce before pulling her in and delivering a hammerlock DDT! Nelson rolled Pryce over and got a two count. Pryce grabbed Nelson and send her into the ropes and dropped her with a spinebuster before rolling into a cover for two. Pryce tried to grab Nelson but Nelson scurried to the ropes and grabbed them to force a break. Nelson pulled her boot off as the referee checked on her. Gemma Foster: I don’t believe it.
The fans reluctantly give Lacy a cheer for her toughness tonight. Nelson grabbed at her ankle and just laughed and smiled through the pain. She looked over at Pryce and got cheek to cheek to her and whispered something into her ear before kissing her forearm. Nelson sat her up and leaned her against the ropes before tapping her on the back. Nelson pulled herself out of the ring slowly and hobbled up the ramp. Pryce came to and looked out at Nelson as the fans gave Pryce a standing ovation. Pryce looked around and pulled herself up. She smiled softly and waved to the fans and looked up to Nelson.
