Episode #26 - November 13, 2019
Scott Parker: Hello everyone and welcome to episode 26 of Hype. Tonight’s main event is a huge Extreme Championship match as Austin Scott defends his belt for the first time as Allen Chaney challenges for the gold. That match alone is tune in material but we have so much more planned tonight.
Gemma Foster: Samantha Hamilton is here, Dave Blazenwing is here, Lacy Nelson is in the building! It’s shaping up to be a great night, Scott.
The Grand Design
“Roosevelt Room” by Connor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band hit and the fans started to boo as the Tag Team Champions Midnight Special hit the stage.
Scott Parker: Midnight Special tweeted out this week that they would be here to reveal their “grand design”.
Before they could start making their way to the ring however, they were attacked from behind by Primetime Champion AJ Adams. Adams laid into Carbine with right hands. He turned around and hit Cherry with a knee to the gut. Adams looked for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) on Cherry but Carbine stopped him. Adams was spun around and Carbine hit him with a big chop across the chest. Adams jumped up and hit Carbine with a knee to the face.
Gemma Foster: AJ Adams is bringing the fight to Midnight Special!
Adams lifted Carbine onto his shoulders but he was pulled down by Cherry. Adams turned and there was Ben Macbeth to hit him with From Parts Unknown (360 Buzzsaw Kick)!
Scott Parker: And Macbeth shuts it down!
Macbeth slapped Cherry on the back and pointed to Adams. Macbeth and Carbine lifted Adams and Cherry pulled him up for a powerbomb and hit a running powerbomb that tossed Adams through the stage!
Gemma Foster: Adams just went through the LED stage!
Macbeth looked down at Adams as trainers rushed out to check on him. The trio left as the fans booed.
Sunshine Warrior II Vs. Kaito Hirano
It was time for the debut of the Sunshine Warrior to Empire Wrestling. Warrior and Hirano were in the ring ready to kick off the match. Hirano stepped up and looked for a pump kick to the face but Warrior dodged it. Warrior looked for a leg sweep and Kaito jumped over his leg. Hirano looked for a kick to the gut but it was caught. Warrior flipped him backwards and Hirano landed on his feet. Warrior jumped up and hit a headscissors takedown as the fans cheered. Hirano rolled to his feet but was taken down with a judo hip throw from Warrior who went right into an armbar. Hirano rolled and was able to break the hold with a rope break. Hirano looked for a hip toss as he stood but Warrior countered into a crucifix pin attempt that shocked Hirano as the referee counted to three!
WINNER: Sunshine Warrior II via pinfall @ 3:42
Hirano popped up, shocked, as Sunshine Warrior rolled out of the ring and celebrated with the cheers.
Scott Parker: Sunshine Warrior II just pulled off a shocking upset in his debut!
Kayla Taylor Vs. Samantha Hamilton
The following contest was announced as an Extreme Division match and the fans gave it a big cheer. Taylor carried a kendo stick to the ring and tossed it in before quickly looking under the ring before Hamilton made her way out. She tossed in a trash can and the lid before rolling onto the ring. Hamilton came out with her fists taped up, ready for a fight. Hamilton rolled under the ropes and the match started right away as Taylor attacked. Taylor had Hamilton back into the corner and unloaded hard knees to the midsection. Hamilton pushed Taylor away to get some space. Taylor charged and looked for a corner splash but missed as Hamilton moved out of the way. Hamilton hit Taylor with a German suplex out of the corner. Hamilton pulled Taylor right back to her feet and tried to lock in the Exiled To Tartarus (Sleeper Hold) but Taylor slipped away. Taylor delivered a kick to the gut and followed it up with a Michinoku Driver. Hamilton climbed to her feet and walked right into a scoop slam. Taylor dropped an elbow onto Hamilton and covered but barely got two.
Gemma Foster: Kayla Taylor not letting Sam breathe here as she keeps on the assault.
Taylor mounted Hamilton and looked for a series of blows but Hamilton got her arms up to block. Hamilton was able to roll Taylor off her and got to her feet. Hamilton and Taylor were both up and Hamilton leveled Taylor with a clothesline. Taylor was back up and ducked a clothesline and hit a slingblade. Taylor sat Hamilton up and put the trash can over her head and body. Taylor measured up Hamilton before delivering the Stamp It Out (Superkick to opponent on knees)! Taylor pulled off the trash can and covered but Hamilton kicked out at two. Hamilton shook off the cobwebs and started to get to her knees as Taylor looked for the Plan A (Shining Wizard) but Hamilton countered into a big powerbomb! Hamilton pulled Taylor to her feet and hit her with a big elbow to the side of the head before connecting with a standing version of Defying The Gods (Frankensteiner).
Scott Parker: The Titaness is firing back!
Hamilton grabbed the trash can lid and rocked Taylor with a hard shot to the head before setting it down in the center of the ring. Hamilton then grabbed the kendo stick and cracked it across the back of Taylor. Taylor screamed out in pain as she clutched her back. Taylor started to get to her feet and just dodged another shot from the kendo stick. Taylor hit Hamilton with a jumping forearm to the face and then pulled her into position for the Broadway Lights (Cross Rhodes). Hamilton was able to fight her way out and delivered a kick to the gut before hitting the Wrath Of The Titans (Pedigree) onto the trash can lid! Hamilton covered and picked up the victory.

Best Friends?
“Come and Get It” by I Prevail kicked up as the fans started to boo Lacy Nelson stepping out fro the curtain. She carried her briefcase containing a championship opportunity and made her way to the ring. She unzipped her jacket and pulled out a microphone.
Lacy Nelson: Hello, Warehouse.
The crowd booed once again as she smiled and put down her briefcase.
Lacy Nelson: I’m in a great mood tonight. I’ve been in a great mood for weeks now because I finally got the monkey off my back.
She pointed to the big screen as a video played from Hype #25. “Nelson grabbed her ankle but started to pound the mat to fight through it. Pryce staggered to her feet and Nelson was up next. Pryce looked for Pay the Pryce (Double Knee Facebeaker) but Nelson pushed her away. Nelson looked for a superkick but Pryce caught her and locked in an anklelock! Nelson screamed in pain.
Nelson got a foot under her body and rolled forward which sent Pryce face first into the middle turnbuckle. Nelson spun Pryce around and hit the Headline (Eat Defeat). In pain, Nelson covered and screamed as the referee counted the three count!”
Nelson smiled as the fans booed once again.
Lacy Nelson: That brings me to why I’m out here tonight. Daniel Daemon.
She turned to the camera as if she’s talking directly to him.
Lacy Nelson: Hey Champ, I hope you’re watching because, I think we could be best friends. We have SO much in common. I beat Chelsea Pryce, you beat Chelsea Pryce. You hate FM Young, I also hate FM Young. You like gold, gold is my favorite color. We both think your girlfriend is gorgeous. So instead of fighting each other why don’t we team up and take the Tag Team Championships?
The fans seemed confused as Nelson smiled and shrugged.
Gemma Foster: Uh, what?
Lacy Nelson: And then when you don’t expect it I’ll crush the back of your skull in with my briefcase and take the EW Heavyweight Championship from you. You see, I could use this briefcase to get a shot at the Primetime Championship, Tag Titles, but I don’t want that. I want to be the biggest headline in Empire Wrestling. Daniel, I’m coming for you. And I-
Nelson is cut off by being blasted with the briefcase to the back of her skull from Daniel Daemon!
Scott Parker: Daemon had heard enough!
Gemma Foster: He just busted Nelson open!
Blood poured from the top of the head of Nelson. Daemon lifted her to a sitting position and started to unload with hard punches to the head. Daemon lifted her slowly as referees and trainers shouted at him to stop. He lifted her into position and delivered the Twist of Cain (Jumping spinning tombstone piledriver), spiking the top of her head into the once undented side of the briefcase). He left her out cold in the middle of the ring as EMTs rushed down past him.
Scott Parker: That briefcase! One side is dented from Nelson hitting Daemon in the back of the head, the other now dented from Daemon DRIVING Nelson into it.
Nelson was checked on as we cut away.
Transfer Speed
Casey Grey is in the back of the arena, holding her phone. She has her arm pulled across her chest, giving her an insecure look. She’s pacing.
Casey Grey: I’m sick of this. I need you to tell me what you want so I can—
Casey is interrupted by whoever is on the phone. A few moments later she responds.
Casey Grey: I know I wouldn’t be in this situation if…
Casey looks up as Alicia Monroe walks into the frame.
Casey Grey: Damn it. Okay, I’ll look into it. After tonight?
A beat.
Casey Grey: Okay. I’ll talk to you then.
Casey hangs up her phone.
Alicia Monroe: Who was that?
Casey Grey: Internet guy. He thinks that resetting the router and leaving it unplugged for two minutes will solve our problems.
Alicia Monroe: I haven’t noticed any problems with our internet.
Casey shrugs and drops her phone into her bag.
Alicia Monroe: Are you ready, you know, for your match tonight?
Casey Grey: Yeah. I’m ready I guess. It's just been way too long, you know?
Alicia Monroe: Way too long for what?
Casey Grey: Fast internet. Can't wait.
Casey walks away, and Alicia follows. When she speaks again her tone is subdued.
Alicia Monroe: What’s faster than fiber?
Dave Blazenwing Vs. Casey Grey
Blazenwing and Grey were up next as the bell sounded to start things. Blazenwing locked up with Grey and quickly locked in a wristlock. Grey reached back and rolled Blazenwing forward. Blazenwing rolled up to his feet as Grey pulled him into a headlock. Grey looked for a bulldog but Blazenwing pushed her off and she went crashing into the mat. Grey rolled to her feet and Blazenwing was there to hit a scoop slam. He locked in a single leg crab in the middle of the ring and Grey quickly made her way to the ropes. Grey got to her feet and dodged a running forearm strike. She countered into a single leg dropkick and popped right back to her feet. Grey seemed fired up tonight with something to prove. Blazenwing was up and hooked Grey for a suplex but she countered and landed behind him. She locked in a cobra clutch and delivered the Copperhead Road (Cobra Clutch/Single Knee Backstabber). Grey covered but only got two.
Gemma Foster: Dave not going down just yet. He’s looked SO impressive for someone coming out of retirement.
Blazenwing slowly got to his feet and Grey hit him with a snapmare and a hard kick to the back. She hit a second hard kick to the back before Blazenwing rolled to his stomach. Grey jumped up and drove her knee into his lower back.
Scott Parker: Casey doing damage to the back as she prepares for the Racklash.
Grey pulled Blazenwing to his feet but he battled back with hard strikes and a spinning back elbow that caught her right in the jaw. Both competitors hit the ropes and took each other down with a double clothesline! Both were down and slowly climbed back to their feet. Grey looked for the GTO (Fisherman Driver) but Blazenwing countered with a falcon arrow. Blazenwing got to his feet and took a second to breathe. Grey was up and charged but ran into a Samoan drop. Blazenwing rolled into the corner and pulled himself up. Grey staggered to her feet and was caught with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music). Blazenwing covered and picked up the victory.

EW Extreme Championship
Austin Scott (c) Vs. Allen Chaney
The fans were ready for this hard hitting main event as Chaney came out first to a big pop. Scott was out second as the defending champion and soaked in the boos. Chaney was outside the ring on the far side, looking under the ring. Scott stopped at the bottom of the ramp and went under the ring. Chaney pulled out a couple tables as the fans cheered and the bell rang. Scott tossed in a trash can and a stop sign before crawling under the ring. Chaney had moved to another side of the ring looking for something and got sprayed with a fire extinguisher! Scott rolled out of the ring and tossed him into the barricade. He moved to one of the tables Chaney pulled out and started to set it up on the outside of the ring. The referee helped Chaney wash out his eyes with a bottle of water as Scott came over and pushed the referee out of the way.
Gemma Foster: Allen can barely see at this point.
Chaney tried to fight Scott off with right hands but was tackled into the barricade once again. Scott quickly lifted Chaney up and onto his shoulder and he was setting up for the Booze Cruisin' (Oklahoma Slam) through the table but Chaney was able to fight his way to his feet. Chaney delivered a back suplex to Scott on the floor! Chaney pulled Scott up and rolled him into the ring. Scott climbed to his feet and ran into a spinebuster. Chaney was moving slow and held his back as he leaned into the ropes. Chaney charged and hit a running senton onto Scott. Chaney covered but just got two. Both men fought to their feet with lefts and rights. Chaney looked for a short arm clothesline but Scott ducked it and countered with a neckbreaker. Scott pulled Chaney to his feet and sent him into the corner. Scott grabbed the stop sign and used it to hit Chaney in the head which dropped him into a seated position. Scott made Chaney hold the sign and started to stomp on to it.
Scott Parker: Austin Scott has come into his own under the Extreme Division.
Scott pulled Chaney out of the corner and covered for two. Scott pulled Chaney up and looked for a suplex but Chaney blocked it. Chaney hit a jawbreaker that staggered Scott. Chaney hit a hard uppercut that dropped Scott into a seated position in the corner. Chaney saw the stop sign and forced it into the chest of Scott. He ran across the ring to get speed and came back with a big corner cannonball! Chaney grabbed his back but the damage seemed done. He pulled Scott out of the corner and got a two count before Scott kicked out. Chaney didn’t waste any time and pulled him up. He tried to get him into position for the Set Up (Double Arm DDT) but Scott drove him into the corner. He lifted Chaney to the top rope and followed. He tried to lift Chaney onto his shoulder for the Booze Crusin’ off the top but Chaney hit him with hard elbows to the head. Chaney pulled him into position and delivered the Set Up from the top to the outside through the table!
Scott Parker: Oh my heck!
Gemma Foster: Chaney and Scott are down!
The referee checked on both men and neither moved in the rubble of the table. He started a count and hit ten, calling for the bell.
NO CONTEST: Draw, Scott retains title @ 16:13
Scott Parker: The fans are shocked.
There was a hush over the crowd as the referee now started to move pieces of the table out of the way and trainers checked on both men. Chaney and Scott both started to stir and come to which got claps from the fans. We ended the show with Scott holding his championship as Chaney was getting to his feet and stumbling to the back with a smile on his face.

Blazenwing rolled into the corner and pulled himself up. Grey staggered to her feet and was caught with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music). Blazenwing covered and picked up the victory.

Austin Scott (c) Vs. Allen Chaney
The fans were ready for this hard hitting main event as Chaney came out first to a big pop. Scott was out second as the defending champion and soaked in the boos. Chaney was outside the ring on the far side, looking under the ring. Scott stopped at the bottom of the ramp and went under the ring. Chaney pulled out a couple tables as the fans cheered and the bell rang. Scott tossed in a trash can and a stop sign before crawling under the ring. Chaney had moved to another side of the ring looking for something and got sprayed with a fire extinguisher! Scott rolled out of the ring and tossed him into the barricade. He moved to one of the tables Chaney pulled out and started to set it up on the outside of the ring. The referee helped Chaney wash out his eyes with a bottle of water as Scott came over and pushed the referee out of the way.
Gemma Foster: Allen can barely see at this point.
Chaney tried to fight Scott off with right hands but was tackled into the barricade once again. Scott quickly lifted Chaney up and onto his shoulder and he was setting up for the Booze Cruisin' (Oklahoma Slam) through the table but Chaney was able to fight his way to his feet. Chaney delivered a back suplex to Scott on the floor! Chaney pulled Scott up and rolled him into the ring. Scott climbed to his feet and ran into a spinebuster. Chaney was moving slow and held his back as he leaned into the ropes. Chaney charged and hit a running senton onto Scott. Chaney covered but just got two. Both men fought to their feet with lefts and rights. Chaney looked for a short arm clothesline but Scott ducked it and countered with a neckbreaker. Scott pulled Chaney to his feet and sent him into the corner. Scott grabbed the stop sign and used it to hit Chaney in the head which dropped him into a seated position. Scott made Chaney hold the sign and started to stomp on to it.

Scott pulled Chaney out of the corner and covered for two. Scott pulled Chaney up and looked for a suplex but Chaney blocked it. Chaney hit a jawbreaker that staggered Scott. Chaney hit a hard uppercut that dropped Scott into a seated position in the corner. Chaney saw the stop sign and forced it into the chest of Scott. He ran across the ring to get speed and came back with a big corner cannonball! Chaney grabbed his back but the damage seemed done. He pulled Scott out of the corner and got a two count before Scott kicked out. Chaney didn’t waste any time and pulled him up. He tried to get him into position for the Set Up (Double Arm DDT) but Scott drove him into the corner. He lifted Chaney to the top rope and followed. He tried to lift Chaney onto his shoulder for the Booze Crusin’ off the top but Chaney hit him with hard elbows to the head. Chaney pulled him into position and delivered the Set Up from the top to the outside through the table!
Scott Parker: Oh my heck!
Gemma Foster: Chaney and Scott are down!
The referee checked on both men and neither moved in the rubble of the table. He started a count and hit ten, calling for the bell.
NO CONTEST: Draw, Scott retains title @ 16:13
Scott Parker: The fans are shocked.
There was a hush over the crowd as the referee now started to move pieces of the table out of the way and trainers checked on both men. Chaney and Scott both started to stir and come to which got claps from the fans. We ended the show with Scott holding his championship as Chaney was getting to his feet and stumbling to the back with a smile on his face.
