Episode #28 - December 6, 2019
Scott Parker: Hello everyone! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and tonight we bring you another episode of Hype. Tonight we have a big main event as David Blazenwing takes on Josh Goldstein in one on one action.
Gemma Foster: What a match that should be but that’s just the ending to what should be a great night of action. AJ Adams versus Austin Scott? Samantha Hamilton taking on Fenryr? Come on! What amazing matches!
Brighton Fischer Vs. Kaito Hirano
Fischer made her way to the ring first to a nice pop from the crowd after her performance in her debut match at Hype #27. Fischer looked out into the crowd as she stood on one of the middle turnbuckles. Kaito Hirano came to the stage with a kendo stick in hand and pointed it at Fischer.
Gemma Foster: Looks like Kaito is here to send a message to Brighton. This side of Kaito that we’ve seen over the last couple months has been violent and reckless.
He made it do the ring and rolled inside. The referee forced him to put down the kendo stick before he would start the match. The bell sounded and Hirano hit Fischer with a spinning heel kick! Hirano looked for a cover but only got two. He quickly pulled her up and started to set up for the Osaka Bomb (Code Red) but she managed to lift him up and over the top ropes with a backdrop. Fischer turned with an enziguri and connected, forcing Hirano to the floor below. She measured him up and charged, diving through the ropes with a suicide dive. She hurried back into the ring and hit the far ropes once again and this time hit a suicide tornado DDT onto the outside floor!
Scott Parker: Brighton Fischer once again giving these fans a reason to cheer as she pulls out all the stops here in her second match.
Fischer pulled Hirano up and rolled him into the ring. She followed and went into a cover but only got two. She quickly went into another cover but Hirano kicked out at one. He got to his feet and the two locked up. Fischer looked for a Russian leg sweep but Hirano countered into a roll up but rolled right through and to his feet. Fischer stood, disorientated and took a spinning back kick to the gut. Hirano caught her with another kick, this time to the chest. He grabbed an arm and delivered a cross arm neckbreaker. Hirano climbed to the second turnbuckle and waited for Fischer to stand before delivering a spiking DDT. Hirano rolled Fischer into a cover but she once again kicked out at two. Hirano grabbed Fischer by the hand and started to toy with her as he gave her little kicks to the head as she started to stand. Fischer then grabbed the hand of Hirano and countered with a ripcord knee strike which she quickly followed up with a bicycle knee strike! Hirano crumbled to the mat and Fischer started to make her climb to the top rope. The fans cheers quickly turned to boos as Kayla Taylor rushed down the ramp and jumped onto the apron. She pushed Fischer off the top ropes and she went crashing hard onto the floor on the outside. The referee called for the bell as Taylor began to attack Fischer.
WINNER: Brighton Fischer via DQ @ 9:03
Taylor mounted Fischer and unloaded with hard right hands. Kaito Hirano soon joined in on stomping Fischer but the Sunshine Warrior II quickly rushed down. He grabbed the kendo stick that Hirano brought out and cracked it over the back of Taylor and then Hirano. He fended off Hirano as the two battled through the crowd. Fischer got to her feet and jumped up, delivering a cutter to Taylor.
Scott Parker: Thank goodness for Sunshine Warrior coming to help. That was going to get ugly quick.
Gemma Foster: I’m already getting word that at Hype #29 we’re getting Kayla and Kaito teaming to take on Brighton and Sunshine Warrior II.
Samantha Hamilton Vs. Fenryr Wulfsson
Fenryr came to the ring solo tonight as he was set for a one on one match with the former Extreme Champion Samantha Hamilton.
Gemma Foster: This would be a big win for Fenryr but you know that Sam is looking to start climbing back up the ladder. She’s so talented, Scott.
Scott Parker: She really is, Gemma. I have no doubt that we’ll see her hold all the gold here at some point in Empire Wrestling.
Hamilton made her way out to the ring next and took her time. She walked around the ring a few times as Fenryr watched on. Fenryr rolled out of the ring and Hamilton rolled in. Fenryr seemed slightly frustrated and started to climb back into the ring and Hamilton charged with a big boot!
Gemma Foster: Sam taking Fenryr out! She knew she needed to get the first shot against the former World Champion. Fenryr fell to the outside and Hamilton went right after him. She grabbed him and sent him into the steel steps. Fenryr was reeling as he staggered around the outside and rolled into the ring. Hamilton went after him and walked right into Fenryr’s Nine Days (Two-handed Suspended Choke Hold)! Fenryr covered and got two as he thought it was over.
Scott Parker: Samantha kicked out just at the last moment. I think she was caught off guard with that chokeslam.
The two both climbed to their feet and started to strike each other back and forth with clubbing blows.
Gemma Foster: This match isn’t going to last long as these two are rocking each other with strong hits.
Fenryr drove his knee into the gut of Hamilton before delivering a gutwrench powerbomb. He pounded his chest as he stood and started to pull his opponent up. Hamilton hit a discus clothesline as she stood that dropped Fenryr. He rolled up to his knees and took a kick to the side of the head. Fenryr fell backwards and Hamilton went into a cover but only got two. Hamilton pulled Fenryr up and sent him into the corner. She lifted him up and started to climb.
Scott Parker: Could she be setting up for Defying The Gods?
Hamilton was in position for Defying The Gods (Frankensteiner) but Fenryr countered into a sit down powerbomb off the second turnbuckle! He covered but Hamilton grabbed the bottom rope at two.
Gemma Foster: Hamilton with great ring awareness!
Fenryr pulled Hamilton up to her feet and started to lift her into the air for the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) but Hamilton countered into a small package. Fenryr kicked out at one and both got to their feet. Hamilton quickly hit the Wrath Of The Titans (Pedigree) seemingly out of nowhere and covered and picked up the win!
WINNER: Samantha Hamilton via pinfall @ 10:41
233 and Counting
After a brief commercial break the fans erupted in boos as “Year Zero” by Ghost started to play and out walked the Empire Wrestling World Champion Daniel Daemon. Daemon stood on the stage with the title over his shoulder.
Gemma Foster: The champ looks SHARP tonight. What a suit and jacket he has one. He might be the most hated man in Empire Wrestling but he’s always one of the best dressed.
Scott Parker: I would think that’s because he prides himself on excellence. Everything has to be perfect, right down to the button.
By now, Daemon is climbing up the steel steps and into the ring. He holds the championship up for all to see as he stands in the middle of the ring and soaks in the boos coming his way. As they start to quiet down he is handed a microphone and is ready to address the Warehouse.
Daniel Daemon: It has been almost eight months since I ascended to the throne and became your Emperor. I’ve become your Emperor of the Mountain. 233 days as Empire Wrestling’s World Champion and I’ve been able to dispatch everyone put in front of me. The pretenders of FM Young, Chelsea Pryce, that thorn Lacy Nelson. All three gone from this company in some capacity or another. Young once again hiding somewhere in a cave trying to find herself. Pryce asking for her release as she knows she cannot defeat me to win back “her prize”. And Nelson, squashed like the bug she was. Left here in the center of the ring a bloody mess.
The fans boo Daemon as he just smiles.
Daniel Daemon: I hear the rumblings. I see their EMBLEM. I know that one day Ben Macbeth will come for this.
He holds the championship up once again and chuckles.
Daniel Daemon: Let him. He has picked his fight with AJ Adams so until that day comes I will continue to destroy everyone in my path.
A stagehand climbed onto the apron and said something to Daemon and he looked confused. They point at the stage and screen as Daemon turns his attention to it.
Gemma Foster: I’m being told someone has a message for the champion.
Voice: This on?
The camera starts to focus and there’s a small pop as Lacy Nelson’s face is seen. She smiles big as the camera steps back to show her upper body.
Lacy Nelson: Wow, Dan. What a speech. You’re right though, you did squish me. I’m not cleared to get back into the ring yet or I’d be there with you now. Instead, I thought I’d check out this new bar that’s opening up here in Times Square on Monday. Have you heard of it? Lucky 12? Oh, 13. Sorry.
Daemon’s face turns to anger as he watches on.
Scott Parker: Lucky 13 is a bar that Daemon bought for her girlfriend! It’s set to open in a few days.
Lacy Nelson: I know it’s just a few days away from the grand opening so everyone is working hard at getting everything just right. I had to slip the foreman some lunch money to let me take a look inside. You know, private tour.
The camera starts to pan around and show off the bar.
Lacy Nelson: Look at that glasswork. Beautiful.
Nelson swings a crowbar and shatters the mirror behind the bar! She starts ripping shelves off the wall as the fans roar in cheers. Nelson grabbed a stool and tossed it through the front window before looking back at the camera, readjusting her hat.
Lacy Nelson: Sorry about that, Danny. Tell your lady that this wasn’t her fault.
Nelson uses the crowbar to scratch the felt off a pool table nearby as she walks toward the back of the establishment and breaks all the mirrors and glass she can find on her way out.
Daemon is left standing in the ring, furious. He roars and rolls out of the ring before heading to the back.
Scott Parker: I would not want to be Lacy Nelson.
Dave Blazenwing Vs. Josh Goldstein
The crowd was on their feet for our main event of the evening as both Blazenwing and Goldstein were in the ring. The two shared a few words and started to circle each other as things were about to get underway.
Gemma Foster: We got this match because both Blazenwing and Goldstein forced Areano to tap out at the same time last week. This match could very well set one of these men up for a title opportunity.
They locked up and Blazenwing pulled Goldstein into a headlock. He flipped him to the mat but Goldstein slipped free and applied a head scissor to Blazenwing. Blazenwing rolled forward to break the hold and got to his feet and Goldstein popped up too. Blazenwing looked for a hip toss but Goldstein landed on his feet. Goldstein looked for a pele kick but Blazenwing moved out of the way.
Scott Parker: Stalemate!
The two grinned and circled each other once again. Goldstein grabbed the hand of Blazenwing and hit him with a hard slap across the chest that echoed in the Warehouse. Goldstein then used the turnbuckles to run up and dove off, turning it into a big armdrag, his Olé/Oy Vey! (Rope Walk Arm drag). Blazenwing got to his feet and the lights went out. When they came back up a few moments later, EMBLEM (Macbeth, Carbine, Cherry) were attacking Goldstein and Blazenwing. The fans booed as the referee called for the bell.
Scott Parker: EMBLEM sending yet another message here tonight. They’re here to be the new standard in Empire Wrestling.
Macbeth set Goldstein up for the Serious Moonlight (Lifting Single Underhook DDT) but was pulled off as AJ Adams had entered the ring to cheers. Adams and Blazenwing cleared house as EMBLEM regrouped on the outside. Adams pointed to himself and to Blazenwing and Goldstein and yelled at Macbeth.
Gemma Foster: I think AJ is issuing a challenge for a tag match.
The referee talked to all parties and rang the bell.
AJ Adams/Josh Goldstein/Dave Blazenwing Vs. EMBLEM (Macbeth, Carbine, Cherry)
Macbeth and Adams were set to start the match but Adams was blindsided by Cherry before Macbeth climbed to the apron. Cherry stomped on the arm of Adams before pulling him up. Cherry locked Adams into a wristlock and then applied pressure as he wrenched the arm up the back of Adams. Adams threw an elbow backwards and caught Cherry in the side of the head to break the hold. Adams turned and took Cherry down with a neckbreaker. Adams tagged out to Goldstein who jumped into the ring. He hit the ropes and Adams had Cherry in position for a German suplex. Goldstein hit Cherry with a clothesline as Adams hit a German suplex. Cherry started to crawl to his corner but Goldstein grabbed him by the foot. Cherry turned and caught him in the face with a kick that seemed to stun Goldstein. Cherry tagged to his partner Carbine. Carbine jumped into the ring and started to land chop after chop on Goldstein’s chest. Carbine lifted Goldstein up for a spinebuster and Cherry came off the second rope with a blockbuster. Carbine made a tag to Macbeth who climbed into the ring. Macbeth hit the ropes as Carbine pulled Goldstein up and Macbeth hit a slingblade. Carbine jumped up and hit a legdrop.
Gemma Foster: EMBLEM showing off that they are a great team, flowing from one move to the next.
Macbeth caught Goldstein with a palm strike as he started to stand. He lifted him into a suplex and bounced his legs off the top ropes and then hit the suplex. Macbeth tagged back out to Cherry as the fans booed the trio.
Scott Parker: The Jew Blazer needs to make a tag.
Cherry started to set Goldstein up for a powerbomb into the corner but Goldstein landed a hard right hand and flipped backwards to his feet. Goldstein jumped up and hit a desperation DDT in the middle of the ring. Cherry started to crawl to his corner and made a tag to Carbine and the crowd popped as Goldstein tagged in Blazenwing.
Gemma Foster: Here comes Dave!
Blazenwing jumped into the ring and hit Carbine with a backdrop. Cherry charged and was caught with a powerslam. Macbeth climbed into the ring and took a Samoan drop for his efforts. Blazenwing was fired up as he pumped his fist. Blazenwing hit Carbine with a northern lights suplex and rolled him into the Firehawk Lock (Crippler Crossface). Cherry reached under the ropes from the outside and pulled Carbine to the rope to break the hold. Adams hit a flipping senton onto Cherry on the outside as the fans popped. Blazenwing pulled Carbine to the middle of the ring and pulled him to his feet. He looked for a running Death Valley Driver but Carbine fought out and hit Blazenwing with hard elbows. Carbine made a tag to Macbeth and jumped into the ring. Macbeth hit Blazenwing with a springboard lariat. Blazenwing was staggered which allowed Macbeth to hit his String Theory (Rolling German Suplex). Macbeth was getting into a groove started to land devastating elbows to the neck of his opponent.
Gemma Foster: Vicious shots from Macbeth.
Macbeth hit Blazenwing with a backdrop suplex and pulled him right back to his feet before connecting with a blue thunder bomb for a pin but only for two. Blazenwing was able to get to his feet but was in trouble. Cherry and Carbine jumped into the ring and pushed past the referee. Goldstein came flying off the top rope and took them both out with a crossbody! Those three rolled to the outside and continued the fight. Macbeth charged Blazenwing as he stood but was taken down with a spinebuster.
Scott Parker: Action all over the place!
Blazenwing stood in his corner and started to measure Macbeth up for the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) but Adams reached over and tagged himself in. Blazenwing seemed a little upset with Adams and said he had it handled. Adams shouted that Macbeth was his and turned to Macbeth on the mat. Adams pulled Macbeth into position for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Cherry pulled Blazenwing out of the ring which distracted Adams. Macbeth spun away from Adams and connected with the Serious Moonlight (Lifting Single Underhook DDT). Macbeth covered Adams and picked up the pinfall!
WINNERS: EMBLEM @ 16:22
Gemma Foster: Ben Macbeth just scored a pinfall over the Primetime Champion AJ Adams.
Scott Parker: All because AJ’s ego decided to show up for the first time in a long time. His hatred for Macbeth was his downfall.
Macbeth rolled out of the ring and waited at the bottom of the ramp for Cherry and Carbine who had sent both Blazenwing and Goldstein into the barricade. EMBLEM posed at the bottom of the ramp as Goldstein checked on Blazenwing. Blazenwing accepted the help up and the two shook hands. Blazenwing rolled into the ring and checked on Adams who wasn’t pleased. The two argued briefly as Macbeth just smiled and walked up the ramp. Our final shot was on Midnight Special holding their Tag Team Titles and Macbeth motioning for the Primetime Championship.
Gemma Foster: What a match that should be but that’s just the ending to what should be a great night of action. AJ Adams versus Austin Scott? Samantha Hamilton taking on Fenryr? Come on! What amazing matches!
