Episode #40 - May 29, 2020
Scott Parker: It’s Hype episode 40 and tonight it is a big show! Every championship is on the line tonight in four hard hitting matches!
Gemma Foster: Some HUGE matches tonight, Scott. A massive Extreme Championship match with four competitors, the Tag Team Championship match with three teams, and what should be two great matches for the Primetime and World Championships.
Scott Parker: That Primetime Championship has a lot of potential, in my eyes. Ben Macbeth is one of the greatest wrestlers EW has ever seen but Outlaw is going to be coming in ready. This is his second opportunity for the Primetime Championship and he doesn’t want to let this one slip away. That is set to be out main event tonight due to the rivalry building between Macbeth and Outlaw.
Gemma Foster: And the co-main event of Lacy Nelson defending the World Championship against Brighton Fischer is interesting because it’s actually Lacy that challenged Brighton. I’m excited to see Lacy take out Brighton as the two crossed paths back at Next Level: Revolution in the battle royal.
Scott Parker: Speaking of challenges, Gemma, Kayla Taylor put out the challenge on Twitter to FM Young and she accepted. We’ll see the two of them compete later on tonight.
Scott Parker: And we’re starting the night off with the first ever Extreme Cage Match here in Empire Wrestling and it’ll be for the Extreme Championship. As you can see a steel cage has surrounded the ring and there are various weapons tied to it! The competitors can use any of these items tonight and the first one to pick up a pinfall or submission will be the winner.
Gemma Foster: The champion, Allen Chaney, coming out first so that way he can get a nice look at what he has to work with tonight.
“Shimmy Shimmy Ya” by ODB started to play as Chaney made his way out with the Extreme Championship over his shoulder. He flipped it to the opposite shoulder as he was walking down to the ring and grabbed the cage and gave it a shake, checking the give. He climbed up the steps and entered through the door, handing off the title to the referee. He looked around the ring at a few of the items that included chairs, a table, kendo sticks, handcuffs, a trash can, and more.
Scott Parker: This should be a hard hitting, violent match but the champ looks ready.
As “Time Bomb” by Hollywood Undead started to play, out came Kaito Hirano with DISHONOR displayed behind him on the screen.
Gemma Foster: Kaito has had a bit of an attitude change over the last couple months but what we saw last week was completely different. The man we now know is called Jason Evans helped Kaito win his match against Austin Scott to get into this match. The two haven’t said much about their teaming but we do know that Hirano had a hand in training Evans.
Hirano had made it to the cage and climbed inside and sat cross-legged in the corner, waiting for the match to start.
Smoke pours across the entrance area as “To Be Free” begins to play.
“Don’t come looking for me
I don’t wanna be found
I just wanna be free
So don’t come looking for me
I don’t wanna be found
I just wanna run away and learn to be free”
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell makes her way from the back and she’s dressed in her ring gear, a black hooded vest, and a black neoprene mask over her mouth with Zoey written across it in a pink kind of scratchy font. She stands still and raises her first in the air before adjusting the Grrrls armband she’s wearing, then makes her way down the aisle.
Gemma Foster: You can see Zoey’s kendo stick tied up on the side of that cage. You know she’s itching to get her hands on it early to take control of this match.
She pulls her hood down and removes her vest, followed by removing the neoprene mask. “To Be Free” fades out as she climbs into the cage. “Kickin’ in the Sticks” starts to play and we get Austin Scott coming out to the ring. Scott tossed his cowboy hat and quickly made his way down to the ring and made sure to shut the door behind him. It was locked up and the bell sounded as things got started. All four competitors met in the center of the ring and came to blows. Scott rocked Chaney with a headbutt as Zoey caught Hirano with an elbow to the side of the head. Hirano returned with a kick to the gut while Chaney hit a bionic elbow to Scott. Chaney turned to Hirano and took him down with a short arm lariat. Zo was backed into a corner by Scott but started to try and battle out. Chaney came charging and hit a big corner splash on both competitors. Chaney pulled Scott out of the corner and hit him with a swinging neckbreaker. Hirano was back in the mix and lifted Chaney up and drove him to the mat with a blue thunder bomb. Hirano rolled to his feet before quickly hitting a jumping knee to the chest of Chaney. Zoey stepped out of the corner and ripped a kendo stick off the side of the cage and cracked it over the skull of Austin Scott.
Gemma Foster: Did you hear that shot!?
Scott fell backwards to the mat and Hirano came at Zoey. She swung but missed as Hirano ducked it and took her down with a neckbreaker. He rolled to his feet and had to duck an incoming clothesline from Chaney. Hirano hit the ropes and hit a double dropkick on Zoey and Chaney. Hirano popped up to his feet and covered Zoey and she kicked out at one. He lifted her up and tossed her into the corner and caught her with a corner enziguri. He started to fidget with the table tied to the cage and pull it down. Chaney had Scott in a headlock and drove him face first into the steel cage. He turned Scott around and drove him into the other side of the steel cage. Chaney ripped down a trash can lid and smashed it over the skull of Scott.
Scott Parker: Chaney lighting up Scott but look at Hirano.
Hirano had the table set up in the corner and a kendo stick in hand. He cracked it over the back of Chaney and then kicked him to the mat. Zoey grabbed Hirano from behind and delivered a dragon suplex. She turned to the cage and grabbed a steel trash can. She placed it on the ground and pulled Hirano up to his feet. She looked for the Faceplant (Famouser) but Hirano pushed her away. Chaney grabbed Zoey and delivered the Set-up (Double Arm DDT) onto the trash can! Chaney looked for a pin as he covered Zo but Hirano broke it up at two.
Gemma Foster: Close one there!
Hirano pulled Chaney up and hit him with a tornado kick that staggered him. Scott grabbed Chaney and hit him with the Booze Cruisin' (Oklahoma Slam)! Scott looked for a cover but Chaney kicked out at two as Hirano was hitting Zoey. Scott turned to Hirano and looked for the Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver) but Hirano slipped behind him and hit him with a chop block. This allowed Hirano to hit him with the Yoi Yume O [Sweet Dreams] (Running Knee to knelt opponent). Hirano covered but Zoey was there to quickly pull him up to his feet. She lifted Hirano up and drove him into the table leaning in the corner with the Firebomb (Fireman's Carry Powerbomb)! Zoey turned and grabbed the handcuffs off the cage and locked Hirano onto the cage.
Gemma Foster: Hirano is down and out and locked to the cage!
Chaney was up and on his feet as he had Scott in the corner, landing hard blows to the head. He pulled Scott down and hit him with the Set Up. Chaney climbed to the top ropes and looked for the WTFFFF (Watch the Funny Fat Fuck Fly) (Moonsault) and connected! Chaney got up and turned to Zoey who caught him with a shotgun kick! Zoey grabbed her kendo stick and Chaney started to get up and she cracked it over his skull and he dropped to the mat. Zoey saw Scott starting to stir and pulled him up and got him into position. She hit him with the Z4 (C4) right onto Chaney! Zoey rolled Scott off Chaney and locked him into the Queen of Pain (Haas of Pain) and he quickly started to tap!
Scott Parker: Zoey Mathews-Mitchell is the new Extreme Champion!
Gemma Foster: What a sequence of events near the end of the match there and look at Kaito!
Hirano had been trying to get to Zoey but couldn’t reach due to the handcuffs and was throwing kicks towards Zoey as she celebrated. The door to the cage opened and she climbed out and was handed the Extreme Championship, her kendo stick in the other hand.
Scott Parker: Is this the start of a big night for the Grrrls? They have a chance to make a clean sweep here tonight.
We see Zoey standing at the top of the ramp holding the Extreme Championship as Chaney has moved to the outside of the ring, looking up at her. She heads to the back as Chaney is attacked from behind by Austin Scott. Scott tossed Chaney into the steel steps and gave him a lone kick before storming off.
Gemma Foster: Austin Scott taking out his frustration on Allen Chaney!
Chaney rolled over and sat up as we cut away.
Scott Parker: Here comes Kayla Taylor, Gemma. She laid out the challenge to FM Young because she was upset about not being booked for tonight’s event.
Taylor was on the stage and started to make her way down to the ring. As “Watch Me” by Icon For Hire was playing she pulled up her elbow pads and adjusted them and rolled into the ring. She leaned over the top rope and bounced on the bottom rope, eager for FM to come out. "Helix" by Amaranthe kicked up and out came FM Young.
Gemma Foster: FM had her return match last week against Outlaw and looked great. While that match went to a draw she almost had it won multiple times but we all saw Daniel Daem-
Scott Parker: Gemma.
As Parker cut her off, FM made her way down to the ring with a big smile. She bounced side to side near the bottom of the ramp as she looked up at Taylor who took a few steps back to allow Young to get into the ring. Young adjusted her gloves and slid into the ring. Taylor quickly attacked with stomps to try and keep Young down as the bell rang to start the match. Young powered to her feet and speared Taylor through the ropes and the two hit the apron and fell to the mat. They rolled around the ground exchanging punches before Young climbed to her feet. She climbed onto the apron and Taylor went after her. Young hit her with a hard elbow to the side of the head and then a kick to the gut. Young set herself up and delivered the Superchick (The Shiranui) on the apron!
Scott Parker: Superchick on the apron! FM just rocked Kayla with that move!
Young slowly pulled Taylor up and rolled her into the ring. Young quickly went for a cover and got just two before Taylor kicked out. Young struck Taylor with a forearm to the face before pulling her up and then hit a clubbing blow to the back. Taylor lifted up with a hard uppercut to Young that allowed her to pull her in and hit a DDT. Taylor sat up slowly and climbed to her feet just before Young. Taylor grabbed the arm of Young and wrenched it and pulled at the shoulder before sending her into the ropes. Young looked for the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline) but Taylor ducked. Taylor hit a belly to back suplex and climbed to her feet. Young started to sit up and Taylor rocked her with the Plan A (Shining Wizard)! Taylor covered and got two before Young kicked out.
Gemma Foster: FM kicks out!
Taylor pulled Young up quickly and started to set up for the Atonement (Spin Sit-out Powerbomb) but Young countered into a headscissors takedown. They both climbed to their feet and Taylor charged but was taken down by Young hitting her with a double high knee. Taylor rolled to her feet and was taken right back down with Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline). Young was fired up and saw the opportunity and went to the ropes. She jumped up and hit Taylor with the Negasonic Warhead (Starship Pain) and went into a cover, getting two as Taylor kicked up just in time.
Scott Parker: So close!
Young got to her feet and started to stalk Taylor and circled her. Taylor climbed to her feet and swung at Young who ducked her. Young lifted her up and delivered the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check)! Young rolled her into a cover and picked up the victory.
Scott Parker: FM picking up the win here tonight!
Young climbed to her feet with a big smile and her hand was raised in victory. She took a moment before climbing on a turnbuckle and took off her gloves and tossed them down as she pointed to the camera.
Gemma Foster: FM wishes the crowd was here so she’s making sure she thanks them however she can.
Someone slid into the ring and briefly checked on Taylor as she was standing and the two attacked Young on the turnbuckle from behind.
Scott Parker: Kayla Taylor and, that’s Harper Blake! She just signed a deal with EW this week.
Blake and Taylor had Young pulled off the turnbuckle and were stomping on her. A moment later, out ran Marilyn Lee Cross.
Gemma Foster: And here comes Marilyn Cross! She’s a friend of FM who just signed as well!
Cross pulled Blake off and tossed her out of the ring. Taylor turned around and clocked Cross and dropped her to the mat. Cross popped back up and hit her with the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot)!
Scott Parker: Cross coming to the aid of FM Young!
Blake jumped back into the ring and attacked Cross and the referee turned and called for the bell.
Gemma Foster: An impromptu match up here between the two newest signees to Empire Wrestling!
Blake caught Cross with an uppercut and then took her down with a swinging neckbreaker. Cross quickly got to her feet and caught a charging Blake with a palm strike. Cross hit a hard chop to the chest before hitting the ropes and catching Blake with a superman forearm. Blake was staggered which allowed Cross to lift her up and hit the Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver). Young and Taylor were cheering on ringside. Blake tried to sit up but Cross took her right back down with a running blockbuster.
Scott Parker: Cross with hard strikes and a great series of takedowns.
Blake stumbled to her feet and Cross looked for the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot) but Blake ducked it. Blake grabbed Cross and delivered the Pez-Dispenser (Stunner). Cross fell backwards into the ropes and Blake charged and ran into a big boot. Cross tried to quickly recover and hit Blake with the Hand of God (Spinning Backfist). Blake dropped to a knee as she twisted and stumbled around. Cross charged and hit John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head)! Cross rolled Blake into a cover as Young counted along and she picked up the win.
Cross rolled out of the ring as Taylor slid in and she met Young. Young and Cross raised each other’s hands and started to make their way backwards up the ramp.
Gemma Foster: FM Young standing tall. Marilyn Lee Cross with a big debut.
A Tipping Balance
Casey is sitting on an exam table in the back while a trainer looks over her knee. The trainer sits back and adds some notes into Casey’s file.
Trainer: So you say everything is okay?
Casey Grey: Yes. Everything is fine. You gonna clear me to wrestle or what?
Trainer: I’m afraid not, Casey. You need at least…one more week.
Casey Grey: This is crap!
Casey jumps up off of the table and stalks around the room.
Casey Grey: Damn it! Look, you have to get me back in the ring. I can’t stand sitting ringside and just watchin’! You gotta do somethin’!
Trainer: I don’t know. Look, I’ll clear you for the next event, but it’s the best I can do. Even then we’re risking it. I only want what’s best for you.
Casey Grey: Bullshit. If you wanted what was best for me you’d put me back in the ring right now!
Casey leans against the door and shakes her head.
Trainer: You need anything else?
Casey opens the door.
Casey Grey: Not unless you’re a damn psychiatrist.
Casey leaves the office and slams the door behind her.
Scott Parker: Here we go, folks. Three teams competing for the right to be Tag Team Champions. A representative from each team will be in the ring at all times and the winning team will be whoever can score a pinfall or submission first!
Bailey Mayhew and Caitlin Shay were the first two out to the ring, both wearing their Grrrls masks. They removed them at the top of the ramp and tossed them aside as they walked down the ramp. Mayhew smoothed the tape on her wrists and Shay reached down and tugged at her kneepad. The two entered the ring and they removed their Grrrls branded shirts and tossed them down to wrestle in their ring gear.
Out next was Dave Blazenwing. He jogged out to the stage and jumped up and down and flipped his hair back. A few moments later out came Luke Mathews in an O.G.NFG shirt. The two bumped forearms and made their way to the ring.
Last was the Tag Team Champions, Midnight Special. Carbine walked slightly ahead of Cherry and the two stopped about halfway down the ramp. Standing side by side they held up the Tag Team Championships. They placed them on the ground and charged the ring and slid in and things erupted right away. Midnight Special went right at Old Guard with lefts and rights. As Blazenwing and Mathews started to battle back, Mayhew and Shay laid in wait. An uppercut to Cherry from Blazenwing and a discus elbow to Carbine from Mathews had Midnight Special spun around. Mayhew hit Cherry with a dropkick while Shay hit a running crossbody on Carbine.
Gemma Foster: The referee trying to get things under control here as this match hasn’t even gotten settled in yet.
Mayhew stayed in the ring and Blazenwing stayed for his team as Carbine rolled out of the ring. Cherry was up and he hit Mayhew with a spinning back kick to the gut which turned him towards Blazenwing and he took Blazenwing down with a lariat. Cherry pulled Blazenwing up to his feet and quickly hit him with a back elbow to the face. Cherry made a tag to Carbine and the duo hit Mayhew with a double flapjack. Mayhew rolled away as she hit the mat and Blazenwing had made a tag to Mathews. Mathews locked in a full nelson on Carbine and hit a full nelson slam. Shay came running over and took Mathews down with a headscissors that sent him head first into the second turnbuckle. Shay made a tag to Mayhew. Shay hit the ropes and hit the seated Mathews with a corner dropkick and then pulled him away from the corner. Mayhew flipped into the ring with a slingshot senton. Mayhew tried to cover but Carbine was there to break it up.
Gemma Foster: I can barely keep up, Scott.
Scott Parker: Lots of one upping here and things are picking up quickly.
Carbine pulled Mayhew to his corner and Cherry tagged himself in. Mathews started to stand and Cherry hit him with Cherry’s Jubilee (Jump Stalling Sidekick). Carbine had Mayhew set up and Midnight Special delivered Ultimate X-Plex (Carbine hits an X-Plex and Cherry catches them with a Back Stabber on the way down.). Cherry went for a cover and Shay and Blazenwing both broke it up. Carbine tagged back in as Cherry stood and the two clotheslined Blazenwing over the top rope. Shay ducked the double clothesline aimed at her and hit Cherry with The Greatest Kick Ever. Of All Time. (Black Mass) Carbine grabbed Shay and hit her with the Chimera (German suplex followed into a dragon suplex and finished with an X–Plex).
Gemma Foster: Carbine is the only one standing!
Mathews had entered the ring after taking a moment outside and rocked Carbine with the Tower of Power (Clothesline From Hell). Mathews covered and got a two count before Mayhew broke it up. Mayhew pulled Mathews up but he sent her into the ropes and she returned with the Kneed You Tonight (Springboard Knee Strike). Carbine, Cherry, and Blazenwing were fighting on the outside and Mayhew charged at the ropes and used her body as a torpedo with the Through the Nether Portal (Suicide Dive [between bottom and middle ropes]), sending all three into the barricade. She slipped back into the ring and Mathews was up. Mayhew looked for the Brain Damage (Chris Hero's Death Blow) but Mathews ducked it and grabbed her, hitting the Chokebuster (Chokeslam lift to kneeling spinebuster). Blazenwing was on the apron and got the tag in but was pulled off the apron by Carbine right away. Carbine hit him with a DDT on the floor and then jumped into the ring. Mathews charged but Carbine flipped him over the top ropes and Cherry hit him with the Four Star Forearm (Forearm Smash to diving opponent).
Scott Parker: Midnight Special clearing house of the Old Guard.
Shay was able to tag in as Carbine turned around and the Grrrls hit him with the Broken Jaw (Wheelbarrow Hold by Caitlin + Stunner by Bailey). Shay looked for a cover and got two before Cherry pulled Shay out of the ring. Cherry turned around and was hit with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) from Blazenwing. Carbine turned to Mathews and looked for a lariat but Mathews countered into the Luke Lock (Gargano Escape). Mayhew tried to break it up but Blazenwing was there with a Full Effect! Carbine tried to get to the ropes and Blazenwing locked in an anklelock and Carbine was forced to tap!
Gemma Foster: Old Guard are the new champs!
Blazenwing and Mathews shared in a hug as they were handed the championship belts and raised them up. They rolled out of the ring as Cherry re-entered the ring and took a swing at them.
Scott Parker: The historic reign of Midnight Special has come to an end.
Old Guard held the titles on their shoulders as they made their way to the back. Shay and Mayhew regrouped on the outside of the ring.
Scott Parker: Will this be the night it all comes crumbling down for EMBLEM?
Scott Parker: It’s time for the first of two main events. A show so big we have to have co-main events. This is for the World Championship and here comes the challenger.
The lights in the arena flash from red to blue, in sync with the opening guitar riff of "Help Me" which is reminiscent of a siren. Shortly after the full band enters, Brighton Fischer makes her way onto the stage wearing her Grrrls neoprene mask on and stands at the top of the ramp. She raises both fists into the air. While keeping her right fist raised, she reaches her left hand toward her waistband where she pulls her mouthguard and inserts it into her mouth after taking off her mask. She took a deep breath as the lights stopped alternating and remained crimson in color for the duration of the entrance. With her right fist still high, she begins to make her way down the ramp.
Gemma Foster: A big chance for Brighton here tonight as she’s getting her second World Title match in the matter of months.
Fischer was in the ring and she stretched her back on the top rope and waited. “Come and Get It” by I Prevail started to play throughout the arena. On the big “Oooh” Lacy Nelson appeared from behind the curtain. She slowly walked to the center of the stage as the music kept playing and she looked over the top of her sunglasses with a smirk. She opened her leather jacket and revealed the World Championship.
Scott Parker: And here comes the champ. Lacy Nelson is set to defend her championship for the first time and has a challenger that is ready and could make it two championships for her group.
Nelson slowly made her way to the ring and tossed her sunglasses over to the announce table and jumped onto the apron. Her jacket fell to the floor off her back and she climbed into the ring and threw up the championship. The match was announced and both were introduced. Nelson handed off the championship and we were set to get things underway. The two circled and locked up to start and Nelson landed the first blow with a hard right hand. Fischer came right back with a hard chop and then a second. Fischer looked for a roundhouse kick and Nelson ducked it and locked up from behind. Nelson looked for a German suplex but Fischer flipped backwards and landed on her feet. This allowed Fischer to pull Nelson in and hit a reverse DDT. Fischer got to her feet and Nelson was up right after. Fischer looked for a hurricanrana but Nelson countered into a bucklebomb. Fischer staggered out of the corner and Nelson used the opening to hit Le Gasp (Lungblower Backbreaker). Nelson rolled Fischer into a cover and she kicked out at two.
Gemma Foster: Brighton kicking out even after two targeted attacks to take her breath away.
Scott Parker: What a smart tactic from the champion.
Nelson pulled Fischer up to her feet and sent her into the corner. Nelson charged and ran into a boot to the face. Fischer jumped to the second ropes and flipped backwards and took Nelson down with a moonsault as she turned back to the corner. Both competitors rolled to their feet and Fischer pulled Nelson in and tried to use the turnbuckle to hit a tornado DDT but Nelson pushed her away mid move. Fischer landed on her feet and Nelson stepped up with a superkick but Fischer had it scouted and dodged it.
Gemma Foster: Lacy almost connecting with that superkick!
Fischer was behind Nelson now and spun her around with the ripcord knee strike. Nelson staggered and Fischer hit her with a bicycle knee strike! Fischer turned and went to the top rope and Nelson was in range, Fischer jumping and hitting Gone Fischin’ (Diving Double Foot Stomp)! Fischer covered and Nelson kicked out just before three!
Scott Parker: A big kickout there as Lacy just gets her shoulder up in time!
Fischer pulled Nelson up to her feet and started to lift Nelson up for the Hook, Line, & Sinker (The Bitter End) but Nelson countered into a small package! The referee slipped into position and Fischer kicked out at two. Nelson popped up to her feet as Fischer rolled over and rocked her with the Hollywood Split (Shining Wizard). Nelson rolled Fischer up for a cover and got a two count as Fischer was just able to kick out in time.
Gemma Foster: That was a picture perfect counter to the Hook, Line, and Sinker. The champion did her homework for this match.
Nelson took a moment and started to pull Fischer up but Fischer rolled Nelson up into a small package of her own! Fischer got a two count and Nelson was able to kick out. Both ladies got to their feet and Fischer looked for a spinning back elbow but Nelson was able to block it and push her away. Fischer turned back to Nelson and was rocked with the Superkick! Fischer staggered backwards into the ropes and bounced off right back to Nelson who dropped her with the Headline (Eat Defeat)! Nelson dove onto Fischer and picked up the pinfall victory.
Nelson sat beside Fischer and pulled her hair back before standing. She was handed the World Championship and had her hand raised.
Scott Parker: A successful championship defense for Lacy Nelson.
Gemma Foster: But one HELL of a battle from Brighton Fischer.
Nelson turned as Fischer was starting to stir. Nelson reached down and offered her hand. Fischer sat up and took a deep breath before allowing Nelson to help her to her feet. Nelson gave her a pat on the back before pointing to Fischer. Fischer rolled out of the ring and let Nelson celebrate once again.
Scott Parker: Main event time.
Gemma Foster: Will tonight end the full reign of EMBLEM or will Ben Macbeth prevail once again?
“Sick of It” by Skillet started to play and out walked Outlaw. Outlaw tugged on his sleeveless jean jacket and took a knee. He popped up and walked down to the ring and rolled under the bottom ropes. He threw his jacket as far as he could toss it and ran the ropes.
Scott Parker: Outlaw is fired up right now.
With “The Tomorrow Man” playing, the Primetime Champion walked out onto the stage. Ben Macbeth opened his coat to reveal the Primetime Championship as the coat dropped behind him. He unsnapped the belt and held it up before placing it on his shoulder.
Scott Parker: If Macbeth leaves tonight with the Primetime Championship he’ll be the longest reigning Primetime Champion in Empire Wrestling history. Right now he is tied with Casey Grey’s second reign at 148 days. That’s longer than Josh Goldstein’s 137 days, Casey’s third reign as EW relaunched at 126 days, and AJ Adams’ 101 days.
Gemma Foster: I would believe Macbeth is fully aware of all of those dates as well. He wants to raise the Primetime Championship as THE championship in Empire Wrestling. He wants everything EMBLEM does to be the standard.
Macbeth had made his way down to the ring and climbed up the stairs and climbed inside. He handed off the belt after the men were introduced and the match was started. Outlaw tried to rush Macbeth but Macbeth rushed with a running bicycle knee strike to Outlaw! Outlaw staggered backwards and had to duck a running forearm. Macbeth hit the ropes and Outlaw hit him with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Outlaw popped up to his feet and Macbeth was right there with a palm strike to the chest. Macbeth then hit one to the face before hitting a discus forearm. Macbeth looked for a palm strike again but this time Outlaw grabbed it and countered into a straight jacket lungblower. Outlaw kept right on Macbeth as he rolled him onto his stomach and locked in the Harsh Punishment (Border City Stretch).
Scott Parker: Outlaw has that move locked in the center of the ring.
Macbeth refused to tap and slowly made his way to the ropes and broke the hold. He rolled out of the ring and Outlaw stood. Outlaw ran to the corner and looked for the Flying High (Springboard triangle plancha to the outside) but Macbeth jumped up and hit the From Parts Unknown (360 Buzzsaw Kick)!
Gemma Foster: What a counter!
Outlaw dropped to the mat hard and Macbeth fell backwards. He stood and pulled Outlaw up and rolled him into the ring and climbed in after him. Macbeth covered and Outlaw kicked out at two. Macbeth went right into a mounted position and blasted Outlaw with hard right hands before the referee forced a break at 5. Macbeth slipped to the side and tried to lock in the Inevitability (Rings of Saturn Submission). Outlaw fought and wouldn't allow him to and was able to get free. Both men got to their feet and Macbeth struck first with a couple knee kicks, a spinning back kick, and a leaping knee. He looked to finish the Toil & Trouble (Combo; Knee Kicks, Spinning Back Kick, Leaping Knee, Spinning Backfist) with the backfist but Outlaw was able to block it and then delivered an asai DDT. Both men were slow to move but Outlaw was up first. Outlaw pulled Macbeth to his feet and sent him into the ropes. Outlaw looked for the Lock-up (Black hole slam) but Macbeth countered into a DDT. Outlaw staggered to his feet right into Macbeth who pulled him into position and took a moment and then hit the Serious Moonlight (Lifting Single Underhook DDT). Macbeth rolled Outlaw into a cover and Outlaw kicked out at two!
Scott Parker: Ben Macbeth can’t believe it. Outlaw is somehow still alive in this match!
Macbeth started to pull Outlaw to his feet and back into position for another Serious Moonlight. Outlaw was able to slip free and drove his knee into the gut of Macbeth. Outlaw pulled off the Unlawful (Tilt-a-Whirl DDT) and rolled Macbeth into a cover. Macbeth kicked out at two and this time Outlaw was in disbelief.
Gemma Foster: No quitting from either of these two men tonight.
Outlaw started to pull Macbeth up to his feet but Macbeth pushed him off. Outlaw hit a lifting knee to Macbeth and then another knee to the gut. Outlaw hit the Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer)! Outlaw started to push Macbeth over but Cherry and Carbine jumped onto the apron. Outlaw turned and pushed them both off the apron with a double clothesline. Outlaw climbed to the top rope and looked at Macbeth. He readied himself and looked for It Came From Above II (Frog splash) but Macbeth rolled out of the way. Macbeth got to his feet and pulled Outlaw in as he stood as well and hit Serious Moonlight! Macbeth covered and the referee counted the three count.
Scott Parker: Ben Macbeth is still the Primetime Champion after an incredible main event.
Gemma Foster: Yeah, but did the small distraction by Cherry and Carbine slip Outlaw up enough or would Macbeth have been able to come back without it?
Midnight Special handed Macbeth the Primetime Championship as he started to stand. They then turned and tossed Outlaw out of the ring and then went back to Macbeth.
Scott Parker: Midnight Special making sure that Macbeth has the ring.
Macbeth grinned as he held up the Primetime Championship. Someone slipped into the ring behind then and the crack of a chair to the back of Carbine echoed throughout the Warehouse! Macbeth and Cherry turned and were shocked as they saw the attacker.
Gemma Foster: AJ ADAMS!
Cherry took a chairshot to the head before Macbeth was able to spear Adams into the corner. Macbeth drove his elbow into the rotator cuff of Adams and flipped him with a hip toss. Macbeth charged and Adams then hit him with the Last Call (Codebreaker).
Scott Parker: AJ has been out of action since January 3rd and he’s here for Macbeth!
Adams grabbed the Primetime Championship and stood over Macbeth before dropping the title on him. He rolled out of the ring as Carbine slipped in and went at him. Adams grinned at him and stepped backwards. Macbeth sat up slowly and swore at Adams as he retreated up the ramp.
Scott Parker: We always knee AJ Adams knows how to hold a grudge.
Macbeth was up as Cherry and Carbine stood behind him. Our final shot of the night was of Macbeth looking up at Adams with the Primetime Championship in hand.
