Dark Match: Before the show, Ruby Winters and Stella Rouakis competed in singles action. Rouakis had her bodyguard at ringside during the bout. These two had a fairly competitive match. Winters hit a big twist of fate and went to the top rope, wanting her Beauty Pop (Shooting Star Press). Stella’s bodyguard, Cerberus, pulled her out of the ring. Instead, Winters came off the top and took them body out on the outside. She rolled Rousakis into the ring and cover but just got two. Rousakis started to battle back and even hit the Notification (Shining Wizard into Headlock Bulldog) where she went for a cover after but just got two. AJ Jenkynx started to make his way down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. He slammed it around and forced Rouakis and Winters out of the ring. Jenkynx shouted that he wasn’t going to stop until he got a match with Gio DeLuca. MATCH DRAW
Gio DeLuca made his way out and charged the ring and the two started to fight but were quickly pulled apart by trainers.
Scott Parker: Hello everyone! We’re one week away from Empire Wrestling’s first ever Warfare event where we’ll see championships on the line and the conclusion of the Warfare Series!
Gemma Foster: What a series it’s been, Scott.
Scott Parker: We have the six teams that will be in the Elimination Chamber match, Gemma. Dishonor, Kayla Taylor and Harper Blake, the Old Guard, the Grrrls, the Kingsmen, and Midnight Special. Winning the Elimination Chamber will be worth 12 points, rather than the 7 that we’ve had for all the other matches. On top of that, each pinfall or submission victory to eliminate a team will net that team a bonus point.
Gemma Foster: It’s still really tight but, if say, the Grrrls get one elimination that will make it impossible for a couple teams to gain enough points with a win.
Scott Parker: The Grrrls are in a great position, Gemma.
Warfare Series
Ragnarok (Fenryr & Karli Frost) Vs. Midnight Special (Josh Cherry & Harvey Carbine)
Midnight Special came out to the ring first and they were looking to bounce back after their recent loss. Cherry seemed fired up as he paced around the ring. Ragnarok was out next as Fenryr ripped off his shirt and tossed it down, ready for a fight. He and Frost chatted at the top of the ramp before heading down.
Scott Parker: Ragnarok has already been knocked out of the Warfare Series but can play spoiler here and make it next to impossible for Midnight Special to win.
Fenryr and Cherry started things in this match and Cherry tried to quickly trip up Fenryr and got him to a knee with a hard kick to the back of the leg. Cherry put his foot into the back of the knee of Fenryr and pulled on his foot, working the knee. Fenryr was able to power his way out and got back to his feet and hit a big powerslam. Fenryr took control of the match by landing hard, clubbing blows to Cherry. Fenryr made a tag to Frost and she jumped into the ring. Fenryr lifted Cherry for a belly to back suplex and Frost hit a neckbreaker. Carbine paced on the apron and stomped his foot to get Cherry going. Frost tried to lock in a full nelson but Cherry was able to battle back with a hard elbow to the side of the head. Cherry hit a lariat that knocked Frost into the corner. She came staggering out and he delivered a release German suplex. Cherry was able to make a tag to Carbine and he came in and went to work after they hit Frost with a double suplex. Carbine connected with hard chops and then turned and knocked Fenryr off the apron before making a tag to Cherry.
Gemma Foster: Getting Fenryr angry might not be the best idea!
Fenryr tried to get into the ring but the referee tried to keep him back. This allowed Cherry to come off the top as Midnight Special hit the Last Picture Show (Piledriver [Carbine] / Double Stomp To The Soles Of The Feet [Cherry]). Cherry covered and Fenryr broke it up. Carbine jumped back into the ring and started to brawl with Fenryr. Cherry joined the brawl and the duo knocked Fenryr out of the ring. Cherry turned and saw Frost starting to climb the turnbuckle and knocked her off as she fell onto Fenryr!
Scott Parker: Karli was going to go high risk and she just paid for it!
On the outside, Midnight Special hit Frost with Minutes to Midnight (Slingblade [Cherry] / Backside Spear [Carbine]). Fenryr was back up and was now brawling with them both. Frost was out on the outside as the referee started his count. Cherry fought back and hurried to slide back into the ring and got in before the ten count.
Carbine rolled into the ring after the bell and Fenryr kicked over the steel steps.
Scott Parker: That’ll only be 5 points for the team of EMBLEM, bringing them up to 19.
Victorem Has Come
In the ring we see a small table set up in the ring with a folder and two pens. Sara Logan is standing beside it as she turns to the camera.
Sara Logan: On June 26th, FM Young walked out of the Victorem Ladder match with a contract that grants her a championship opportunity whenever she wished. Tonight, she is here to sign her half of the match contract as Lacy Nelson did so earlier this week.
"Helix" by Amaranthe kicked up and out walked FM Young. She took a deep breath, or as much of one as she could, and moved her way down the ramp.
Gemma Foster: What will be interesting is the condition of FM going into the match next week. She’s been competing in multiple companies and is banged up going into this match.
Young climbed into the ring and grabbed a pen. She wasted no time in opening the folder and signed her name to the contract with a quick glance.
Sara Logan: There you have it! Easy and straight to the point. That’s the FM we know.
FM asked for the microphone and took a second to collect her thoughts.
FM Young: Lacy, I’m coming for that championship. I don’t care who you’ve beaten along the way because they weren’t me. None of them are driven to be EW World Champion like I am. To prove to myself and to everyone that my last reign wasn’t some sort of fluke. I’ve fought and clawed my way back to the top of this company and I don’t plan on that ending at Warfare.
“Come and Get It” by I Prevail started to play and we got the World Champion, Lacy Nelson, appearing on stage. She had the championship in her hand and held it up for FM to see. Lacy could be heard telling FM that she can’t wait. The two had a stare down as we cut to commercial.
Angel Kash Vs. Aaron Kincade
Kincade and Kash competed in the next match. Kash was slow to the ring as she made sure that every part of her announcement was correct. She entered the ring and posed for the non-existent crowd in the Warehouse. Kincade was out next and quickly made it to the ring. The match started with Kincade landing a series of kicks to Kash but she came back with an eye rake. She hit a running knee to the back of Kincade and then looked for a school bot but just got one. Kincade looked for a suplex but Kash countered with a knee to the face as he lifted her. Kash tried to lock in the Liquidation (Triangle choke armbar) but Kincade was able to make it to the ropes and forced a break. He got to his feet and ducked under a clothesline and came back off the ropes with The '47 [Single Leg Dropkick/Claymore]. He covered but just got two. Kash got to her feet and fell into the corner. Kincade charged and ran into a big bot. Kash jumped to the second turnbuckle and came off it with a flying bulldog. Kincade started to get to his feet but was rocked with a running knee to the head. Kash pulled him to his feet quickly and then delivered the Kash Flow (Codebreaker) and covered for a win.
Kash celebrated her win before rolling out of the ring and went to the back.
Strange Magic Part IV
The lights suddenly go out in the warehouse.
Scott Parker: Not again.
The screen flickers to life, and after a moment of static and white noise, a black and white scene opens on a dark table in the woods. Candles are spread over it, and candles also form a circle around the clearing. Large live oak trees dominate, and the hanging Spanish moss gives the scene an eerie feel.
The scene cuts to the table, which looks like some sort of an altar. Other than the candles, there is a pair of small dolls joined at what would be the wrist with what looks like a piece of jute rope. A hand, delicate and adorned with jewelry, passes over the candles. The flames flicker. The hand settles over the dolls.
The dolls are shown, up close, and the rope is placed in the fire. As the rope burns, a female voice is heard.
Female voice: As this cord burns, so do the ties that bind. As this cord burns, so do the ties that bind. As this cord burns, so do the ties that bind. So be it.
The screen goes black, leaving the warehouse in total darkness for a moment before the lights come back on.
Warfare Series
Old Guard (Luke Mathews & Dave Blazenwing) Vs. Dishonor (Kaito Hirano & Jason Evans)
Scott Parker: This is a big match for these two teams. The Tag Team Champions are only 3 points ahead of Dishonor in the Warfare Series standings. Dishonor needs a win to keep the trophy within reach without relying on a micicle next week.
Dishonor was out first before the Tag Team Champions. Dishonor shared a few words in the ring before Blazenwing came out first, trailed not long after by Mathews. The Old Guard showed off their championships and moved down the ramp.
Gemma Foster: The Old Guard have been champions for 71 days and, as of now, don’t have a title match scheduled.
Scott Parker: You’d have to believe the winners of the chamber match next week and the Warfare Series, if it’s not the same team, will be knocking on the door soon.
It looked like Blazenwing and Evans were starting the match. The quick strikes and chops from Evans kept Blazenwing off guard as he couldn’t seem to stay caught up. Evans looked for a tornado DDT but Blazenwing pushed him away and hit him with an atomic drop as he charged. Dave then lifted Evans up and hit a Samoan drop before making a tag to Mathews. Blazenwing hit a backdrop and Mathews hit a running leg drop before rolling out of the way so Blazenwing could hit a jumping elbow drop. Mathews went for a cover and just got two.
Gemma Foster: The Tag Champs working well together.
Mathews tried to lock in the Luke Lock (Gargano Escape) but Evans was able to roll forward and make a tag to Hirano. Hirano jumped into the ring but ran right into a powerslam. Hirano got up and was lifted up and taken down with a suplex. Mathews made a tag to Blazenwing and the two delivered a double flapjack. Old Guard kept up the tags and worked over Hirano. Hirano started to battle back after hitting a DDT on Mathews and crawled to his corner for a tag. Evans hit Mathews with a code red and went for a pin but got two before Mathews kicked out. Blazenwing jumped into the ring but was hit with a slingblade before Evans rolled to the apron. Evans readied himself and hit Seeing Stars (Slingshot DDT) on Blazenwing.
Gemma Foster: Jason Evans is all over the ring!
Evans was fired up but turned right into Tower of Power (Clothesline From Hell) from Mathews! Mathews covered and got two as Evans kicked out. Hirano was in the ring and Mathews hit him with the Dead End (Burning Hammer). Evans was hit with Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) from Blazenwing and was pulled into the Luke Lock from Mathews! Evans wouldn’t submit and started to pass out and the referee called for the bell.
Scott Parker: That’s a submission victory for the Old Guard for a whopping 10 points!
Blazenwing and Mathews celebrated in the ring for a few moments before Hirano cracked Mathews in the back with a chair. Blazenwing turned and was hit in the head!
Gemma Foster: Hirano is attacking the Old Guard after the match!
Hirano grabbed one of the Tag Team Championships and held it in the air before dropping it on Blazenwing. He rolled out of the ring and collected Evans as they made their way to the back.
Scott Parker: Message sent.
Subject to Change
Backstage we see the Liaison, Sara Logan. She is standing in front of the backdrop used for interviews and has a big smile on her face.
Sara Logan: In wrestling, the phrase “card subject to change” is heard a lot because we never know what might happen in this industry. Sometimes it’s an injury, sometimes it’s a new idea. Tonight that change is a couple matches becoming one. Next week, at Warfare, Daniel Daemon and AJ Adams clash for the Primetime Championship but tonight they’ll be forced to team up against Kayla Taylor and Harper Blake.
She smirks as she gives the camera a nod.
Sara Logan: Back to your programming.
In The Name Of Tezcatlipoca
The camera opens on a jungle scenery where a massive, old stone temple sits, looming over the trees. In the distance, we can hear the crashing of waves. Darkness has fallen over this jungle but torches along the outside of the temple cast just enough light to give it an eerie, gloomy feel. The camera reaches the temple as it pans in and starts climbing the steps but we fade to black halfway up. Once we fade back in, we are on the inside of the temple, approaching a pool in the center that surrounds an altar at three sides. The focus of the shot, however, is the figure of a woman garbed in a black gown with black and red roses in her hair. While she stands with her back to the camera, the strap of a title belt can be seen draped over her shoulder. Her identity is already easy to guess given her wardrobe but her choice of Spanish dialect just confirms the presence of Tia Santos.
Tia Santos: I placed my faith in the gods and I have been blessed with their favor. They demanded blood and souls and so I paid them in plentiful amounts.
The camera pans in from behind and rotates around to the side of Tia before it stops. As expected, she’s wearing her full Calavera face paint. Her eyes remain closed, giving off the illusion of an actual skull in the dark lighting.
Tia Santos: The sinner was made to repent for his heresy. The plague spreading rat was crushed beneath the boot. The former champion...should one even call her such a thing...was proven a fraud. However, therein lies the question of the machine. It would appear that, as a machine, one is not so easily broken. Isn’t that right, Señorita Von Rossbach? You have promised I will see you again. How selfless of you. Self sacrifice is among the most valued among the gods.
The camera jumps angles just as Tia begins to turn. It’s back behind her now, but she turns to face the camera itself. Her eyes open and she stares hard into the camera. The Extreme Championship can be seen, now fully displayed on her shoulder; the plates gleam under the soft light of the flames.
Tia Santos: And so I offer the opportunity to all who would feel as selfless as one Ursula Von Rossbach. I have dedicated the Extreme Championship to my god: Tezcatlipoca. I will be his warrior and champion, and as his champion, I bid welcome to all who wish to offer their souls in his name. To all who wish to offer their blood to my god. Many will come for this. Many will find themselves on my altar. Their souls will be the sacrifices I give as my tribute to him.
She doesn’t motion towards the title so much as the hand holding it on her shoulder brushes the fingers over the center plate.
Tia Santos: And the gods cannot be denied.
Tia goes silent, staring into the camera as the torches lit around the temple begin dying out, shrouding the room in darkness until only Tia’s painted face is seen in the shadows.
Best of 5 Series
Match 4
Casey Grey (2) Vs. Alicia Monroe (1)
Scott Parker: Casey Grey can end this best of 5 series with a win tonight.
Alicia and Casey lock up in the center of the ring and Casey goes immediately to a side headlock. Alicia throws Casey to the ropes to break the hold and looks for a backdrop but Casey is able to wrap Alicia up and deliver a baseball slide style DDT. Casey pulls Alicia up for a snapmare facebreaker before going for a pin but only getting the one count. Alicia kicks out and shakes her head to clear the cobwebs. Casey stalks her and when Alicia gets to her knees, Casey grabs her by the hair and slams her face first into the mat. After an Irish Whip, Casey gets a tilt o’ whirl backbreaker on Alicia. Casey goes for the pin again, this time getting two.
Scott Parker: Casey looks like she’s trying to put this one away early.
Casey throws Alicia over the top rope, but Alicia holds on and lands on the apron instead of crashing to the floor. Casey looks for a clothesline to knock Alicia down but Alicia drops down, holding the rope, and sends Casey to the floor instead. Alicia climbs back into the ring instead of following Casey.
Gemma Foster: Alicia isn’t about to go outside of the ring with Casey.
Scott Parker: Smart girl.
Casey pulls herself up to the apron to climb back into the ring but Alicia takes Casey’s legs out with a baseball slide. Casey falls back to the floor, hitting her face on the apron. Casey writhes on the ground in agony as Alicia looks on. Alicia holds onto the top rope, hops over and lands on the middle rope, and lands on Casey with a springboard moonsault to the outside of the ring. Both women are down. Alicia was on the better side of the crash and throws Casey back into the ring. Alicia follows on the referee’s count of seven.
Scott Parker: Close on the count there. Alicia could have just gotten back in the ring herself and won right here. She’s down two to one in the series. This could come back to bite her later.
Gemma Foster: Alicia wants this one decided in the ring, Scott. Win, lose, or draw. She’s sick of the whole thing and if this ends she hopes Casey will just come around on her own eventually.
Scott Parker: How do you know all of this about Alicia?
Gemma Foster: Starbucks.
Casey has crawled across the ring to put some distance between herself and Alicia, but she turns around into a shining wizard from Alicia. Casey is down again. Alicia goes for the pin. Casey kicks out at two. Alicia stands up and waits on Casey and delivers a basement dropkick to Casey’s back. Alicia is quick to lock in a body scissors hold and, after some struggle between the two of them Casey is able to reverse the hold into a pinning predicament for a quick one count.
Alicia kicks out just after one and goes for a vertical suplex on Casey. Casey blocks it, reversing it into a brain buster which leaves both women down. The referee begins his count. Casey stands first, and smashes Alicia with a Breath Mint (forearm smash). Alicia falls back into the referee and they both crash into the turnbuckle. The referee falls down and is out. Casey immediately uses the middle rope to choke Alicia, and only let’s go when she exits the ring. She looks under the mat for a chair, using it to bash Alicia in the head.
Scott Parker: This is just ridiculous. There’s no need for this.
Gemma Foster: Casey doesn’t want this series to go to Warfare and is pulling out all the stops to ensure that result!
Casey climbs back into the ring and lifts Alicia into the GTO (fisherman driver) and lands it in the center of the ring. Casey looks around and starts helping the referee back to his feet. It takes a while to get any reaction out of him.
Casey Grey: Come on, you useless bum!
Casey slaps the referee to bring him to his senses, and it looks like it’s working. The referee uses the ropes to pull himself up and nods at Casey. Alicia has also rolled onto her hands and knees. She stands up and walks up to Casey from behind. Casey is still focused on the referee.
Casey Grey: Now, do your job, you—
Casey’s berating of the referee is cut off as Alicia lifts Casey up onto her shoulders and hits the Down in Flames (Burning Hammer) and pins Casey immediately.
Scott Parker: Alicia with the Down in Flames!
The referee, now paying attention, executes the three count.
The referee raises Alicia’s arm and she rolls out of the ring. The referee then kneels down to check on Casey while holding the back of his own head.
Scott Parker: We’ll have a match 5 between these two!
Kayla Taylor & Harper Blake Vs. AJ Adams & Daniel Daemon
Blake and Taylor came out to the ring first with a big smile on their faces.
Scott Parker: Kayla and Harper may have caught a break here tonight, Gemma. Instead of having to battle AJ Adams and Daniel Daemon separately, they get to do it together.
Gemma Foster: Meaning there’s no way that AJ and Daniel make it through this match as a team, right?
The lights turned red as Daniel Daemon walked out onto the stage with the Kingsmen at his flank. They took a knee beside him and he dismissed them to the back. He started to make his way down the ramp but was interrupted by AJ Adams making his way out to the stage. Adams showed off the Primetime Championship and then put his arms out. Daemon scoffed as he climbed onto the apron. Adams charged the ring and slid in before posing with the title. He and Daemon got into each other’s faces quickly.
Scott Parker: Card subject to change!
Adams said he would start the match and Daemon climbed to the apron as the bell sounded. Adams locked up with Blake and tripped her up with a takedown. He hit the ropes and Daemon tagged himself in. Adams looked around confused as Daemon got into the ring and just shook his head, letting it slide.
Gemma Foster: Daemon wanted to start this match so he’s just going to tag himself in.
Blake was to her feet and she hit Daemon with a bicycle kick to the arm as he looked for a lariat. She spun around and hit him with a jumping knee strike that backed him into a corner. Blake made a tag to Taylor and Taylor ran over and got on all fours. Blake charged and ran off the back of Taylor and looked for a splash but was sent over the top ropes. Taylor got to her feet and Daemon hit a quick scoop slam. Daemon grabbed Taylor as she stood and pulled her into position and looked for a powerbomb. Taylor started to land punches on Daemon to try and battle out and Adams tagged himself in. Taylor flipped backwards and landed on her feet but Adams was there with a German suplex.
Scott Parker: AJ’s turn to tag himself in.
Adams got to his feet and as Taylor started to stand, drove her to the mat with Eat It (Fameasser). He rolled her into a cover but Taylor kicked out right at two. Adams pulled her up and sent her into a corner and looked over at Daemon. Adams charged and drove his shoulder into the gut of Taylor. Adams backed up and Taylor came running out of the corner with a single leg dropkick. Adams started to get to his feet and she hit him with Plan A (Shining Wizard). She was slow to her corner but made a tag to Blake. Blake jumped into the ring and looked for a running knee to the head but Adams dodged it. She turned and Adams lifted her up and connected with a GTS! Adams made a tag to Daemon who climbed into the ring and Blake was back up shortly after, but moving slowly. He grabbed her by the throat and looked for a chokeslam but she spun away as he lifted her. She jumped up and hit him with a big knee strike to the head. Blake pulled Daemon in and hit a DDT in the middle of the ring and covered, only getting two as he kicked out right at two.
Gemma Foster: Blake and Taylor are not going down without a fight here tonight!
Blake fixed her knee pad and pulled Daemon up. He tried to send her into the ropes but she countered into a single knee facebreaker.
Scott Parker: She calls that the Makeover!
Blake once again went into a cover but only got two as Daemon powered to his feet. Blake made a quick tag to Taylor and the two tried to lift him for a suplex but he countered into a double suplex. Taylor was up and charged at him but ran right into a chokeslam. Daemon grabbed Blake and tossed her over the top ropes and she fell hard to the outside. Taylor was moving slowly to her feet and hit with the Inquisition (POWERFUL running lariat) and Adams had tagged himself back in. Adams grabbed Taylor and delivered the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) as he stared down Daemon the whole time. He covered Taylor, never taking his eyes on Daemon, who was standing in the ring looking down at him, and the two picked up the win.
Scott Parker: AJ and Daemon pick up the win here tonight.
Adams is handed the Primetime Championship as Daemon watches on. Adams holds the title in the air as Daemon’s eyes move to the title in the air. He climbed out of the ring and backed up the ramp.
Gemma Foster: That match next week is going to be a fight. AJ is not ready to give up his prize just yet.
Adams jumped onto the second rope and posed with the championship as we went off air.
Gio DeLuca made his way out and charged the ring and the two started to fight but were quickly pulled apart by trainers.
