Warfare - August 14, 2020
Scott Parker: Welcome to Empire Wrestling’s first ever Warfare event! Tonight marks the end of a 7 week journey of the Warfare Series. 9 teams competed over the past 7 weeks and we’re ready to crown the winner. The Grrrls are sitting in first place as we enter the Warfare Chamber match tonight. Let’s take a quick look at those standings.
TEAM | MATCHES | POINTS |
Old Guard | 4 | 27 |
EMBLEM | 4 | 19 |
Grrrls | 4 | 28 |
Kingsmen | 4 | 15 |
Ragnarok | 3 | 0 |
Dishonor | 4 | 14 |
Blake/Taylor | 4 | 14 |
The Crew | 2 | -10 |
The Haters | 4 | 0 |
Gemma Foster: For Dishonor, KayHarp, or the Kingsmen to win the entire series they’ll have to pick up a couple eliminations AND win the match for those bonus points. It’ll be a little easier for the other three teams but you have to believe that the Old Guard and the Grrrls are the favorites to win this thing.
Scott Parker: The Grrrls haven’t lost a match the entire series and the Old Guard have looked very impressive, sitting only 1 point behind them.
Gemma Foster: That’ll be our co-main event tonight, Scott. We have so much more amazing action booked for tonight too.
Scott Parker: Tia Santos will defend her newly won Extreme Championship for the first time as she takes on Zoey Mathews-Mitchell who was granted a rematch since she was not pinned in the fatal five way in where she lost the championship.
Gemma Foster: Tia has looked impressive since joining Empire Wrestling but this should be a challenge against Zoey one on one. The Primetime Championship should also be a challenge for the champion, Scott.
Scott Parker: AJ Adams is facing Daniel Daemon and he’ll be putting the Primetime Championship on the line as he does it. Daemon is looking to add to his impressive resume but, I think more importantly, he’s looking to swat down what is L2N. We didn’t touch on it much last week, Gemma, but what do you think about AJ and Lacy working together?
Gemma Foster: I think it’s an interesting combo, Scott. I think there’s a lot of questions as to how long this has been going and where this is going to go. What is their endgame? Is there one? Are they really just two wrestlers from LA that have promised to watch out for the other?
Scott Parker: If Daemon starts to tear into Adams tonight, is Lacy Nelson going to come out and help and risk getting hurt before her match?
Gemma Foster: Speaking of Lacy’s match, Scott! How big is that main event tonight? FM Young is looking to become a two time EW World Champion as she’s cashing in her Victorem contract in a MUCH different fashion than Lacy did back in April. Lacy held onto that contract for 9 months and surprised Daniel Daemon with the match. FM promised that she was going to do it differently. She’s had the contract for little over a month and asked for the match ahead of time.
Scott Parker: Two very different approaches. Lacy Nelson cut a wonderful promo last night about 40 feet away from where we’re sitting. She wants to be the headline but more importantly she wants to be the champion.
Gemma Foster: We could talk about all these amazing matchups all night but it’s time to get into it, Scott!
Freckled Hellfire
Here Molly Hatchet stands before the camera with her back to an Empire Wrestling banner-draped wall, dressed in her gear and ready to compete with Marilyn Cross this night. Her arms are crossed, head hung low as she fights back the uneasiness within her. Was it fear? Was it some sort of despair? Molly Hatchet lifts her head and looks into the lens as if it were the eyes of the world.
Molly: I'm not feelin' this match, there's no lie. When first Ms. Cross came to me, I had no idea she had an affiliation with Na Fianna. Me and their ilk have had such terrible run ins. I could've gone this whole time, ne'er knowin' who she was with and been perfectly fine with that. Until that name came up, she was just another competitor, yeah. Another smilin' face that deserves as much time in tha' ring with me as anyone else does. When her challenge came, I took tha' sword and raised it up, ready ta' go until I heard those two words, Na Fianna.
The Ginger Ninja looks down at her hand, picking the underside of her fingernails using the nail of her thumb. A nervous habit, one that rarely showed it's ugly head but a tell none the less. Those eyes return to the meet the gaze of the viewers watching through that digital eye.
Molly: I did try to back out. I didnae' want ta' deal with it all o'er again because no matter what she says, there is always a chance that they will but into her affairs and make me life hell yet again. Ya' see, their leader was once someone I considered a good friend and drinking pal even. Connor seemed like a good man of questionable means, but ya' get ta' see his true colors o'er time and realize how much of a manipulative cunt he is. I left that man behind, ne'er wanting to have anythin' ta' do with him after he nearly ruined me best friend's life through his indirect manipulations and machinations.
The hand lowers back into the fold of her arms and she takes a quick breath.
Molly: Just sayin' his name is like temptin' fate and invokin' his wrath but hell, I figure I've already done that just by having a match with Marilyn Cross. I have nightmares from tha' harassment that was visited upon me beyond tha' pryin' eyes of tha' public. This is tha' first time I've e'er said anythin' about it to any of you. He'll deny it of course after he sees this. Probably try ta' start some sort of shite with Empire, but I have faith in tha' governin' body here that they'll do tha' right thing and keep him far away from us.
Her head lowers and she quickly wipes at her nose.
Molly: That's why I tried ta' back out, Marilyn. Not because of any fear of you, but because I just donnae' wanna' ta' be dealin' with that bastard anymore, but if you say ye' stand alone without Na Fianna behind you.... If ye' say this is a fair fight between two competitors and nothin' more.
The Ginger Ninja looks back at the camera with a small smirk.
Molly: Then as me friend would say, I'll be yer huckleberry! I'll be hittin' tha ring runnin' and I wonnae' stop! Hellfire in a freckled package I be, ready ta' burn tha' house down 'round us with tha' fans screamin' not 'cause of tha' heat but because of the awesome clash we represent before their very eyes! I wonnae' let fear stop me, not this time. You want a bloody fight with tha' best Ginger Ninja who has e'er worked a wrestlin' ring? So be it! We'll dance with fire on our heels and leaving embers in our wake with e'ery move and it'll be bloody GLORIOUS!!!
She shoves off the wall, amped up and excited for the first time in this little promo, eyes wild and passionate.
Molly: LET'S DO THIS MARILYN LEE CROSS! LET'S BURN THA' HOUSE DOWN AND MAKE 'EM LOVE US FOR IT!!!!
Molly starts to head off and then looks as if she almost forgot something. Turning, she looks back to the camera.
Molly: ....And to tha’ Powers that be, I apologize to yo, fer tha' disrespect. I'll make up fer it tonight by goin' out there and doin' what I do best.... sweating, bleedin, and executin' awesome e'ery step of tha' way. I'll make ye' proud ya' hired me..
She then steps out of frame, disappearing from view and presumably heading for the ring.
Gio DeLuca: You know what I hate?
The voice of Gio DeLuca fills the empty Warehouse as he steps out onto the stage.
Gio DeLuca: I hate little poser boys like AJ Jerkoff. He comes into Empire Wrestling and thinks he’s the next hot shit. He wins a couple matches and says he ain’t stoppin’ until he is Extreme Champion. News flash, bucco. You’re not hot shit, you’re just shit. Get off your ass and get out from behind your computer screen and talk shit to someone face to face. Stand in the ring and call someone out.
Gio has been moving his way down the ramp and rolls into the ring.
Scott Parker: This rivalry has grown personal, Gemma.
Gemma Foster: Gio’s even brought AJ’s mom into this but I’m not going to repeat what he’s said.
Gio DeLuca: I know I’m not the best wrestler in the world, and I don’t claim to be, but at least I’m man enough to stand here and make sure everyone hears me say that after I beat your ass tonight Imma go back to your mama’s house and she’s gonna beat-.
His microphone was cut off as AJ Jenkynx walked out to the stage to his entrance music. He had a steel chair in hand as he charged down the ramp. He climbed into the ring and swung at DeLuca but he ducked it. Jenkynx turned and was given a thumb to the right eye before having both raked by DeLuca. DeLuca drove his knee into the gut of Jenkynx and then tossed him through the ropes to the outside. DeLuca climbed out to the apron and jumped down with an axe handle smash to Jenkynx. DeLuca bounced Jenkynx off the barricade as AJ started to walk away. DeLuca went after him but AJ hit him with a back elbow to the face before lifting DeLuca up and dropping him face first onto the apron. Jenkynx looked under the ring and pulled out a trash can and put it over the head and body of DeLuca.
Gemma Foster: What does AJ have in mind?
Jenkynx hit a spinning heel kick to the trash can and it dropped DeLuca. He jumped up to the apron and readied, diving and hitting a senton off the apron to the outside and the trash can! Jenkynx grabbed at his back as she slowly got to his feet and pulled DeLuca from the trash can. He rolled him into the ring and slowly climbed to the apron. He made his way to the top of the turnbuckles and dove, looking for a diving headbutt, but DeLuca moved out of the way! DeLuca pulled Jenkynx into position and hit him with a DDT onto the chair!
Scott Parker: DDT onto the chair after AJ just crashed and burned!
DeLuca rolled Jenkynx into a cover and AJ kicked out at two. DeLuca grabbed the chair and begged AJ to get up. Jenkynx got to his feet and DeLuca swung and Jenkynx ducked it. He lifted DeLuca up and hit him with a fireman’s carry into a TKO. Jenkynx rolled DeLuca into a cover this time and got two as DeLuca kicked out. Jenkynx grabbed the chair and started to unload hard, vicious swings down on DeLuca. The chair started to bend and he tossed it aside as he moved around the ring.
Gemma Foster: AJ making sure Gio feels those chair shots tomorrow and even the next day.
As DeLuca slowly got to his feet, Jenkynx started to set up for the I’m Deadlier (Unprettier) but DeLuca dropped down and rolled Jenkynx up with a school boy and grabbed a handful of tights, getting a three count win.
Gemma Foster: I don’t believe it! I’m fairly certain that’s Gio’s FIRST singles win here in Empire Wrestling!
Scott Parker: It is!
DeLuca rolled out of the ring, laughing, as Jenkynx was furious.
Scott Parker: All it took was a handful of tights to do it.
DeLuca made his way up the ramp and danced around the stage as if he had just won a World Championship before he made his way to the back.
Taking the Throne
MLC: You paying attention?
Marilyn Lee Cross is backstage, putting the finishing touches on her wrist tape. A task she’s more focused on than looking at the camera, given that she’s thrown a cursory glance before focusing on her wrist once more.
MLC: I hope you are. I hope all of Empire is sitting up and taking notice of what’s going on here. It’s not “sour grapes”, or hurt feelings, or anything like that. This is nothing more than proving that the past several months aren’t a fluke. That when push comes to shove, when it’s one on one? No one can beat me.
Marilyn shrugs as she tosses the wrist tape onto a table, smiling to herself.
MLC: Molly Hatchet has a win over me, yeah. And she earned it… by pinning someone else. She won a triple threat, and while that’s no easy feat, I wanted her one on one. I wanted to show her that the little girl with the wide eyes she may or may not remember from two years ago? Now she’s a threat. Now she’s the one on top.
The smile turns to a grimace as she grabs her entrance jacket, sliding it on with ease.
MLC: Two years ago Molly, you were atop the world in Omega while I struggled to get on shows. I showed interest in tournaments and asked about them, but when the time came I got passed by for other wrestlers. “Your time will come,” “They’re bringing in the fans,” “You’re just not ready.” I heard that every single time I asked about another booking, another shot, hell, just a chance to step in the ring and show my worth. Every. Single. Time,
The breathing is heavy as she stares directly into the camera, slowly walking forward as she continues on.
MLC: But you? Oh they loved you. The Ginger Ninja Molly Hatchet, why, that’s someone who was always favored. Always adored and loved and put on the highest pedestal possible. And for all your talk of working with students and trying to build them up, not once did you stick your neck out for me. You didn’t go to bat for little Marilyn, because you were focused on yourself. So trying to act like the caring mentor is ridiculous, because I know who you really are. I’ve seen your true nature, so don’t you dare try and act differently.
Marilyn is now a short distance away, her 5’6” frame taking up most of the screen before she stops. The heavy breathing, the grimace, it all slowly disappears as she walks backwards, almost chuckling to herself.
MLC: So this match, it means more to me than it probably means to you, Molly. For you, not only is this your first big show in Empire, it’s a chance to defend your honor and standing. For me? This is a chance to keep my singles record intact and prove that I am better than you ever gave me credit for. That I had what it took to not just make it onto those shows years ago, but that I easily could’ve gone against top tier talent like you or Henry Lucas. That everyone who slept on Marilyn Lee Cross, everyone who overlooked Marilyn Lee Cross, who didn’t think I’D EVER MAKE IT IN THIS BUSINESS WAS DEAD WRONG. I’VE PROVEN MYSELF, I’VE EARNED MY PLACE, AND TONIGHT-
Marilyn reaches over to her bag, pulling out a crown. Looking at it, admiring it before placing it on her head, adjusting it before giving the camera a smile.
MLC: Tonight, The Queen takes her throne. See you out there.
Scott Parker: Sara Logan personally made this match, Gemma. We saw Marilyn Lee Cross challenge Molly Hatchet on Afterparty and Miss Logan made it happen. Cross wants the win that Hatchet stole in their triple threat match with Karli Frost.
Cross stepped out to the stage as “Hallelujah” by Panic at the Disco played. She bounced around the stage as she fired herself up and started to walk down the ramp. She rolled into the ring and stretched on the ropes.
Gemma Foster: Cross isn’t wrong either, Scott. She has had an impressive run in her short stint in Empire Wrestling. I’d say the sky's the limit for her.
Out like a ball of energy was Molly Hatchet as she ran out to the stage and moved around. She pumped her fists to her music and smiled.
Scott Parker: Molly caught up with Empire-Wrestling.Net reporter Jacob Williams last night and talked a little about this match. Hatchet felt blindsided by being called out on Afterparty and the fact that Cross brought up some of their past. She had no idea that Cross felt that way about things. She’s ready for this match here tonight though, Gemma.
Hatchet was to the ring and was up on the apron. She and Cross stared at each other and Hatchet climbed inside the ring. The referee talked to them both briefly and the belly sounded and we got underway. Cross swung her feet at Hatchet as Hatchet danced around the ring to avoid some kicks to her shins. Hatchet kicked one away and stepped up with a jumping knee strike to the face that caught Cross. She then looked for the Glasgow Kiss (Jumping Headbutt) but Cross was able to move to the side and avoid it before jumping up and spiking Hatchet to the mat with a poisonrana! Cross rolled to her feet and hit the ropes, coming back to Hatchet as she looked for the Knee Harvey Oswald (Running Knee to the side of an opponent's head), but Hatchet ducked it as Hatchet stumbled forward. Hatchet popped up and was able to hit the Ginger Ninja-Steiner (Prone Kip Up to Frankensteiner).
Gemma Foster: Both of these ladies showing off their athletic ability in the early going of this one.
Hatchet pulled Cross to her feet and sent her into the corner. She looked for the Splash of Ginger (Corner splash) but Cross moved out of the way. Cross hit Hatchet with the Downgrade (Superkick to knee) and then quickly followed it up with a snap kick to the head. Cross rolled Hatchet into a cover for just a little over one as she kicked out. Cross pulled Hatchet to her feet and sent her into the corner and followed her with a handspring back elbow to the head. Hatchet staggered out of the corner as Cross jumped to the second rope and came flying off with the turnbuckle with a meteora. Cross rolled to her feet and Hatchet climbed up to her feet. Cross looked for the Catch Your Breath (Striking Spear) but ran into a kick to the face. Hatchet unloaded with a series of hard chops and then a jumping forearm to the face. She pulled Cross in and delivered a suplex. They both got to their feet and Hatchet slipped behind Cross and hit the Ginger Snap (German Suplex). Hatchet bridged into a pin but Cross kicked out at two. Hatchet and Cross got to their feet and Hatchet hit her with a back elbow to the side of the head. She ran at the corner and jumped to the second rope and turned, springboarding and twisting in the air and hit a tornado DDT.
Gemma Foster: A big DDT there from Molly!
Hatchet covered and got a two count on Cross before she kicked out. Hatchet got to her knees and looked around as she pulled her hair from her face. Hatchet slowly pulled Cross to her feet and Cross came up with a discus forearm smash to the face that staggered Hatchet. This gave her some room and Cross delivered the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot). Hatchet hit the mat and rolled up to her feet and Cross came running at her with a running crossbody. Cross hooked a leg for a pin and got two before Hatchet kicked out. Cross pulled Hatchet up and lifted her onto her shoulders before hitting the Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver). Cross rolled right up to her feet as Hatchet started to crawl on all fours. She got to her knees as Cross hit the ropes behind her and delivered John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head). Cross dropped onto Hatchet and bopped her head with the count but was confused when the referee stopped just before three.
Scott Parker: Molly’s foot is under the ropes! I don’t even know if she knows where she’s at right now.
Cross was shocked as she looked around and then to Hatchet before covering again but the time allowed Hatchet to kick out. Cross pulled Hatchet up to her feet, slowly, and sent her into the ropes. Hatchet ducked under Cross and hit the ropes again and on the return looked for the Ginger Ninja Death Drop (720 Satellite DDT) but Cross was able to put Hatchet back on her feet and roll her up with a small package. The referee made the count and at two, Hatchet was able to put a hand on the mat and shift momentum, getting Cross’ shoulders on the mat for a three count!
Both ladies popped to their feet as Hatchet was announced the winner, Cross looked around confused.
Gemma Foster: Molly just pulled a fast one on Marilyn!
The referee explained what happened to Cross as Hatchet rolled out of the ring and jumped up and down in celebration. She collected herself and moved to the ramp and looked back as Cross just watched on.
Scott Parker: I am certain that this is not the last time we’ll see these two compete against each other in the Empire Wrestling ring.
Superior
Backstage somewhere calm and quiet is where this little tale begins. Ursula Von Rossbach stands before an LED screen in her private locker room with her back to the camera. She's watching replay footage of Aaron Kincade from prior matches, her hands are crossed behind her back with one holding a remote. As usual, she is dressed in her all black leather ring gear.
UVR: Angel Kash and Aaron Kincade, one is a lazy fool who allegedly has more wealth than the Vatican and the other? Well let us just say that Mr. Kincade would be far more impressive if he did not suffer the indignity of a loss to someone who is as lazy as she is stupidly arrogant.
Pivoting on her left heel, Ursula slowly turns to face the camera. The movement is so controlled and precise that it is almost unnatural in a way.
UVR: I know Angel Kash and her history quite well. There is no title she has won without taint and only the most inept of wrestlers fall to her in a clean manner. She is the blueprint for nearly every spoiled rich brat in the industry and the type of person that I feel absolutely nothing but contempt towards. She would call this jealousy from a mere "hashtag" basic. I have known her for many years and each encounter had me questioning her intelligence further and further.
Her brow quirks a bit.
UVR: Even as recently as a few days ago, she uttered the statement that strength is my only attribute. Oh it has been far too long that I have faced someone who is truly stupid enough to underestimate me at such a broad stroke level, especially when it is someone whom I have crushed personally more than once. The only reason Angel is still capable of walking is because my superiors at the time demanded that I do not break her spine. I was more controlled by those who paid for my services. Now? Not so much anymore.
Ursula steps in closer to the camera, getting closer with each step until the two are face to face.
UVR: Ms. Kash, there is a reason that I discount every achievement and victory you have ever had. It is not because of any ineptitude in the ring, for you certainly have a strong grasp of the fundamentals of professional wrestling. It is because you simply are incapable of accepting anyone or anything as your superior, let alone equal. Every victory I have ever had, I earned. People far more intelligent and crafty than you have fallen to the tactics I utilize. You assume me a basic brute but the truth of the matter is that I am far more than you could have ever bargained for. You call me shortchanging you? No. Far from it. I know you far too well.
Her lips twist with a small smirk.
UVR: While you know nothing of me beyond what a few old tapes have told you. What you knew before was but a pale imitation of the woman you face now and believe me when I say this, Angel Kash, you are not prepared in the slightest for what is about to come and trust me, child, I shall revel in that moment when you realize just how badly you have underestimated me. After this match has concluded, you will recognize me for who and what I am...
...your superior. As for Aaron Kincade? You lost to a pathetic wretch either because you are horribly inept or she paid you to lay down for her. Which is it, because I can tell you that despite whatever answer you give me, it will not change anything for you. Pathetic worms do not prosper in a wrestling ring against me.
The Lady Terminator turns and walks away.
Las Cinco Etapas Del Duelo
The shot opens with a fade in on the Extreme Championship. The center plate gleams under the light, bringing all focus to the polished metal and leather. Clutching onto it is a woman’s hand; her wrist covered in black and red wrist tape. The camera slowly pans out, revealing the Extreme Champion herself, sitting on a locker room bench in full gear. Even the bottom of her face already has her bandana drawn up and her black hair shrouds the rest of her face like a dark curtain.
Tia Santos: The five stages of grief and loss. We have all heard of them. Perhaps we have all experienced them in our time. However, none more so now than Zoey Mathews-Mitchell. Former Extreme Champion...if she were ever a champion at all. I do not see her as such. She obtained a championship and went into seclusion when this world was first devastated by the plague that has befallen it.
Tia lifts her head, moving her hair out of her face with a shift of her head. With her bandana up, the focus is on her hardened stare, aimed right at the camera.
Tia Santos: Let us begin with Denial and Isolation. You did not want to believe that your first defense of the Extreme Championship resulted in it being taken away. You have refused to comment on it even once. You have isolated yourself from inquiries and public appearances. Next comes Anger.
She shifts, leaning forward where she rests her other arm across her knee.
Tia Santos: You must be angry that you failed so briefly in your reign. If anyone can even call it a reign. Your anger comes from being inadequate as a true competitor, reliant, as has been said, off the support from your brother’s failed brand. Third stage!
Tia’s hand shoots up with three fingers as she rises from her seat on the bench and she looms over the camera, menacingly.
Tia Santos: They call it Bargaining. It isn’t, perhaps, as you would think it to be in bargaining for an opportunity to right your failure. Though maybe you did bargain for this rematch somehow.
She raises her eyebrows in a suggestively questionable manner.
Tia Santos: But no. The Bargaining stage is also called the “If only” stage, by some. In your case, Señorita, it would likely be “if only I trained harder. If only I studied my opponents. If only I cared enough about my career as a competitor.” But you didn’t. So that leads to Stage 4: Depression. Depression from worry. It has to bother, you, Señorita, that you may never be relevant in the eyes of this business. You had your opportunity and you failed at it. You squandered it. Yet here you are, still clinging to the false hope that you can try for that relevancy again. Tonight, I shall do what you could not and bring this championship to a level of greatness that far exceeds even the most prestigious world championship in all of professional wrestling. I will turn the Empire Wrestling Extreme Championship into THE sought after prize of the company and I will begin with returning your soul to the altar for its final reaping. It is there you will find yourself at the fifth and final stage of grief. Acceptance.
She adjusts the title on her shoulder again and squats down, closer to the camera; she reaches out and pulls the camera closer to her face.
Tia Santos: Acceptance that you are not cut out to compete in this business. The time has come to accept, Señorita. Accept that your time has come to an end here. It is quite simply time...Señorita Mathews-Mitchell…for you to lie down...and die.
She sets the camera down again before rising out of frame and we see her feet leave the shot as we fade to black….
Aaron Kincade was standing in the ring after the promo wrapped up and he moved around the ring and posed as he was announced. Out next was Angel Kash as she slowly stepped out onto the stage. The spotlight shined down on her as she gave the camera a twirl. She was announced and made her way down to the ring. As she jumped onto the apron, Kim Roberts announced her at weighing 135 pounds and Kash gasped aloud and screamed at her.
Scott Parker: I have it here and Angel’s listed weight is 130 pounds.
Gemma Foster: Oh boy.
Kash jumped off the apron and screamed that she would have Roberts’ job. She started to make her way back up the ramp and “"HEAR ME NOWWWWW!!!!" echoed throughout the Warehouse and out came Ursula Von Rossbach. Kash tried to push passed Von Rossbach but Von Rossbach dropped her with a shoulder. Von Rossbach grabbed Kash by the hand and pulled her down the ramp as she kicked and screamed. Von Rossbach pulled her up with ease and tossed her into the ring through the middle and top rope. Von Rossbach climbed to the apron and Kash slapped her across the face. Kash turned and walked into a kick to the gut and a scoop slam from Kincade. Kincade hit the ropes and jumped over Kash as she rolled towards him and popped to her feet. Kincade looked for a crossbody but Kash ducked under him. He got to his feet and Kash hit him with a lungblower. Von Rossbach had climbed into the ring and Kash charged but ran into a hard shoulder. Kash rolled right back up and looked for a chop block and took Von Rossbach down to a knee.
Scott Parker: Angel with some scouting looks like she’ll try to keep Ursula off her feet to make her lose the power game.
Kash went to work on the lower back of Von Rossback by driving her knee into the small of her back. Von Rossbach pushed her away and Kash went into the corner. Kash charged and Von Rossbach lifted her above her head as she stood up and turned it into a gorilla press slam. Kincade charged at Von Rossbach but Von Rossbach ducked under him and connected with a snap German suplex. Kash tried to cover Kincade but was quickly pulled off by Von Rossbach. Von Rossback pulled Kash to her feet but Kash raked her eyes. Von Rossbach rubbed her eyes as Kash gave her a kick to the gut and hit the ropes and came back with a shoulder tackle that didn’t take Von Rossbach down. Von Rossbach hit the ropes near the corner and jumped onto the middle ropes and came back with a big springboard lariat! Kash and Von Rossbach were both up and Von Rossbach springboarded into a flying knee strike.
Gemma Foster: The athleticism from Ursula with that springboard!
Von Rossbach couldn’t help but smile as Kash staggered to her feet. Kincade came rushing over and hit Von Rossbach with a knee to the gut. He set her up and delivered a ripcord knee to the face that staggered her into the corner. Kincade turned and hit Kash with a kick to the gut before following up with Dreamkiler (Trouble in Paradise). He looked for a cover but Kash kicked out at two. Von Rossbach pulled Kincade to his feet and drove him right back down to the mat with her Sambo Chokeslam (Ursula grips her opponent's throat, kicks their leg out while lifting them up, and violently chokeslams them to the canvas one-handed). Von Rossbach turned into a slap from Kash as she chewed her out. Von Rossbach came back and drove Kash to the mat with The Great Slap (A downward one handed slap to the face that drives ANY opponent straight to the floor). Kash rolled away and started to pull herself to her feet. Von Rossbach started to set Kash up for a chokeslam but Kash landed a kick to the gut. Kash raked the eyes of Von Rossbach again and rolled out of the ring. She waved her hands at the ring and started to leave.
Scott Parker: Looks like Angel Kash has had enough.
Von Rossbach watched as Kash made her way to the stage and watched down at the ring. Kincade looked for a springboard crossbody but was caught mid-air and hit with a powerslam. Von Rossbach locked in the Great Lock (Steep angled wrenching Full Nelson Camel Clutch) as she looked up at Kash. Kincade quickly tapped out as the bell rang.
Scott Parker: Look at Ursula looking up Angel Kash as she had that hold locked in tight.
Von Rossbach released the hold and put her arms out, inviting Kash back down to the ring. Kash scoffed and left to the back.
It was time for the Extreme Championship match and we got Zoey Mathews-Mitchell making her way to the stage first. She had her kendo stick in hand and her face was hidden behind her neoprene mask. She rested the kendo stick on her shoulder as she removed her mask and tossed it away. She readied herself and started to make her way down to the ring.
Scott Parker: Zoey Mathews-Mitchell is looking to reclaim the Extreme Championship here tonight. She was not pinned or made to submit in losing it and has been given a rematch due to it.
Gemma Foster: This could be another big night for the Grrrls, Scott, and it starts here.
Zoey moved around the ring as she waited. “De Donde Salí” by Leymy started to play and we got Tia Santos making her way out. She had her handkerchief covering her face and the Extreme Championship around her waist. She dropped to her knees on the ramp and put her head down and started speaking to herself.
Gemma Foster: A little prayer here before the match starts. If winning the Extreme Championship was the biggest match in Tia’s career, this one is even bigger. The first defense is always tough and she’s going to come out fighting. She’s confident, Scott.
Santos was looking under the ring and Zoey rolled out and went after her, getting her to roll in. Zoey slid back in and swung the kendo stick at her legs but Santos jumped over it. Santos landed and quickly jumped back up and took Zoey down with a headscissors takedown. Zoey rolled to her feet and looked for a roundhouse kick that Santos ducked and did a backflip to dodge. Santos hit Zoey with a hard chop and then a back elbow to the head. Zoey pulled Santos in and hit her with a belly to belly slam. She then grabbed the kendo stick once again and cracked it across the back of Santos as she stood. Santos took a second shot to the back before dropping to the mat and rolling out of the ring.
Scott Parker: Zoey is dangerous with that kendo stick.
Zoey went after Santos and swung for her head but Santos ducked it and Zoey hit the post. Santos caught Zoey with a pele kick that dropped her. Santos quickly went under the ring and tossed in a steel chair and then a second. She was able to also pull out a table before turning her attention back to Zoey. Santos pulled Zoey in for a DDT but Zoey rammed her backwards into the barricade. Zoey tried to suplex Santos but Santos countered into a suplex that sent Zoey back first into the barricade. Santos pulled herself together and slid the table into the ring. She started to climb into the ring and Zoey pulled her back out and sent her shoulder first into the steel steps!
Gemma Foster: These two are just brutally attacking each other all in the name of the Extreme Championship.
Zoey grabbed the kendo stick and cracked it on the back of Santos again and Santos rolled into the ring. Zoey went after her and they were both to their feet. Zoey looked for a roundhouse kick and Santos hit her with Danze de los Muertos (Dance of the Dead [Usually performed when an opponent goes for a kick to her head. Tia bends back, using her flexibility, evading the kick. She bends back up and goes for a spinning back kick which the opponent usually ducks. As they come up, however, Tia’s kicking leg comes down and she nails them in the face with a Chick Kick, finishing with a dancing spin with her arms out.]). Santos went for a cover and got two before Zoey kicked out. Santos started to set the table up and then went back to Zoey. Zoey landed a hard punch to the gut and then pushed Santos away. Zoey charged and hit Santos with a shotgun kick! Zoey covered and got a two count before Santos kicked out.
Scott Parker: No quit in either of these competitors!
Zoey and Santos sat on their knees and started to wildly strike each other as they climbed up to their feet. Zoey looked for a Russian legsweep but Santos hit her with an elbow. Santos stepped to the ropes and hit a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT. Santos grabbed a steel chair and drove it into the gut of Zoey multiple times. Santos quickly pulled Zoey to her feet and rolled her onto the table and made her way to the turnbuckle. She started to climb and got ready. Santos turned and hit a Muerta Caída (Dead Drop) onto Zoey on the table!
Gemma Foster: Tia just came crashing down with all her weight onto Zoey!
Santos moved the broken pieces of table away and covered and Zoey kicked out just before three to the shock of Santos. Santos quickly pulled Zoey up to her feet and delivered her Beso de Muerte (Kiss of Death [Tia wraps an arm around the opponent’s neck and bends them back (think Bray Wyatt’s Sister Abigail). She places a kiss on the forehead of her opponent before transitioning her arm around the back of their neck and performs a Dream DDT.]). Santos covered again and picked up the victory.
Santos rolled away from Zoey and stayed on her knees as she was handed the Extreme Championship, standing to have her hand raised in victory.
Scott Parker: Tia Santos retains the Extreme Championship in an exciting match!
Santos rolled to the outside and sat on the apron as trainers checked on Mathews-Mitchell.
Alicia and Casey start with a shoving match before locking up, and Alicia hits a Biel Throw. Casey is quick to complain to the referee about how Alicia is obviously cheating by throwing her around by the hair, but Alicia has little patience for Casey’s posturing and immediately hits a single leg dropkick which sends Casey through the top and middle rope to the floor.
Scott Parker: Alicia is looking very aggressive tonight, much as she has since this whole series started.
In keeping with Scott’s assessment, Alicia hops the top rope and uses the second rope to hit Casey with a Springboard Enziguri and they both sprawl to the floor. Alicia is the first one up and throws Casey into the steps before rolling her under the bottom rope into the ring. Alicia follows, pulling Casey into position to deliver a short arm Clothesline. Alicia exits the ring, stands on the apron for a moment before she lands a Springboard 450 splash. Alica goes for the pin, getting a two count before Casey gets a shoulder up.
Alicia leans on the top rope for a moment to catch her breath, then pulls Casey to her feet. Alicia lifts Casey up and sets her up for a Superplex, but Casey shoves her off of the ropes and to the mat. Casey climbs down from the top turnbuckle where Alicia is getting to her feet. She runs forward and hits Alicia with a Snap Neckbreaker. After waiting for Alicia to stand again, Casey delivers a kick to her gut, and hits a Powerbomb. Alicia is visibly slower to try to stand this time, so Casey helps. She pulls Alicia into a Vetical Suplex, but instead of dropping her on the mat she hangs her on the top rope. While Alicia is helpless there, Casey dropkicks her in the side of the head. Then she suplexes Alicia back into the ring. A pin attempt by Casey nets her a two count. She looks at the referee with disgust and throws Alicia into the ropes with an Irish whip. Casey lifts Alicia for a spinebuster, but Alicia wraps her arm around Casey’s neck and reverses it into a DDT! Both are down in the center of the ring. The referee begins to count to ten.
Gemma Foster: What just happened there?
Scott Parker: It looks like Casey may have DDT’d herself.
Gemma Foster: How the…
Alicia gets to her feet first, and runs to the ropes opposite of Casey. Casey turns around right into a Running Knee from Alicia. Casey is rocked, but Alicia pulls her up. Alicia follows an Irish Whip with a lariat takedown and is fired up. Alicia wastes no time in backing Casey into the corner and hits the Freebird (Running Bulldog) on Casey.
Scott Parker: This could be it! For all the marbles!
Alicia covers Casey for a near fall two count, and pulls Casey up by the hair only to slam her back down to the mat. Alicia sits on Alicia and just starts raining punches on her. All hell breaks loose in the ring as Casey and Alicia abandon any restraint necessary for a proper wrestling match. Alicia drags Casey by the hair, and when Casey stands up she slugs Alicia in the gut. Alicia goes down to one knee and Casey grabs her, throwing her down and raining punches herself.
Scott Parker: This is just devolving into a barroom brawl.
Gemma Foster: No doubt about it. Let ‘em fight. They need it.
The two roll in the ring, neither gaining a real advantage over the other while the referee tries to break up the fight. More hair pulling and punches, Casey stands up and gets in a couple of kicks on Alicia, who hits Casey with a fireman’s carry and dumps her on the mat. The referee is still trying to restore order, but Casey gets back to her feet and swings at Alicia. Alicia dodges the attack and traps Casey’s arm, driving her to the mat and locking in the Bitch Muzzle (Crossface Submission Hold)!
Scott Parker: Oh my god, the Bitch Muzzle from Alicia!
Casey is trapped in the middle of the ring while Alicia screams and pulls on Casey’s neck. The referee, an expression of weird relief on his face that the match has returned to something that maybe he has control of, is asking Casey if she wants to quit. Casey struggles to reach the ropes, and after a few moments of trying it becomes apparent that she doesn’t have the strength to make it and taps out.
Gemma Foster: Alicia has won the series with Casey's own move!
Alicia exits the ring quickly, backing up the ramp with her arms up. Casey is still in the ring. She screams before standing up and kicks the bottom rope before leaving the ring and flipping the stairs. She adjusts her ring gear, shakes her head, and walks to the back with a purpose.
Scott Parker: She doesn't look too happy at all about what happened here.
Gemma Foster: The series is over, Scott, but I don't think this fight is. It's one thing to win something like this, it's another to use your opponent's own move against them. This just became a war.
Ready or Not
We’re backstage in a locker room as we can see Lacy Nelson sitting on a bench, finishing up lacing up her boots. She sits on the floor and starts to stretch with some toe touches as someone knocks on the door.
Lacy Nelson: Open!
Kevin Olson opens the door and steps inside.
Kevin Olson: Got a second, champ?
Lacy gets to her feet and grabs her sunglasses and puts them on. Gotta be camera ready when you talk to Kevin Olson. She turns back to him and picks up the EW World Championship from her back and puts it on her shoulder.
Lacy Nelson: Just a couple.
Kevin Olson: Tonight you face yet another tough challenge as you defend the championship against FM Young. We heard you last night say how important this match is for you but I wanted to see if you had a strategy for this match.
Lacy Nelson: Win. I know that FM is going to come ready for a fight, she’s said as much, and there’s no way around it. I’m no dummy, Kev. FM has been fighting multiple times a week, she’s hurt. I need to try and focus on those areas that are hurt. I also know that she’s going to not back down from anything I throw at her. So I’m going to do what I’ve been doing.
She looks down over her sunglasses with a smile.
Lacy Nelson: Kick her in the face.
She fixes her sunglasses and adjusts the belt.
Lacy Nelson: Now if you’ll excuse me.
Lacy exits the room and makes her way down the hall. Olson starts to step out of the locker room and a girl in facepaint is standing in his way. She tilts his head and moves to the side so he can pass. He looks around confused as she enters Lacy’s locker room and shuts the door. He looks at the cameraman and shrugs as they walk away.
Scott Parker: This one should be hard hitting, Gemma.
The lights went red as “Square Hammer” by Ghost started to play. Out from the curtain Daniel Daemon slowly stepped out. He moved to the center of the stage and looked down to the ring.
Gemma Foster: No Kingsmen to see Daemon off tonight. He’s requested that they focus on the Warfare Chamber match.
Daemon started to step his way down the ramp and soaked in the moment. He climbed into the ring and looked out to the announce table before turning away. “Lights Out” by P.O.D. kicked up and out jogged AJ Adams with the Primetime Championship around his waist. He took a knee and looked down to Daemon and pointed. He gave him some finger guns and jumped to his feet. Adams got to the apron and walked up the steel steps before climbing inside. He removed the Primetime Championship and jumped to the second turnbuckle and held it up. He climbed down and looked at the title before handing it off. The match was announced and the bell rang to kick us off.
Adams stepped to Daemon who didn’t move from his spot. Adams looked up at Daemon and said a few things and put his arms out.
Gemma Foster: Is Adams telling Daemon to take the first shot?
Daemon took a step back and then put his hands out for a lock up.
Scott Parker: Looks like Daemon wants to wrestle.
Adams put his hands up and Daemon quickly pulled Adams in but Adams pushed him off and slipped away. Daemon turned and Adams rocked him with a forearm to the face. Daemon shrugged it off and pushed Adams back and dropped him to the mat. Adams rolled up and lunged forward with another forearm. Adams put his shoulder down and speared Daemon into the corner. Daemon clubbed the back of Adams and stood him up. Daemon drove a boot into the chest of Adams and kicked him away. Adams got to his feet slowly and was hit with a scoop slam. Daemon pulled Adams up and looked for a belly to back suplex but Adams flipped behind Daemon and landed on his feet. Adams drove his knee into the back of Daemon repeatedly and then hit the ropes. On the return, Adams hit a jumping knee strike to the chest of Daemon. Daemon fell into the ropes and Adams clotheslined him over the top and he landed on his feet on the floor.
Scott Parker: Adams trying to keep Daemon off balance with these hard blows but it’s got to be tiring to see him still standing.
Adams measured up Daemon and dove through the ropes and hit him with a big tope suicida. Adams landed on his feet and got back into the ring. He looked for another but was hit with a backfist as he went through the ropes.
Gemma Foster: AJ just got rocked!
Daemon pulled Adams up and rolled him into the ring and followed in after him. Adams crawled away and got to his feet and had to duck the Inquisition (POWERFUL running lariat). Daemon stumbled and turned, only for Adams to hit him with the Last Call (Codebreaker). Adams covered and right at two Daemon kicked out. Adams pulled Daemon up to his feet and tried to lock in Lights Out (Tazzmission) but Daemon ran him backwards into the turnbuckle to break it up. Adams turned and was hit with a chop to the throat and then a headbutt. Daemon pulled Adams to the middle of the ring and lifted him in the air with the Power of Asmodeus (Delayed vertical suplex) before falling backwards to the mat. Daemon rolled right into a cover and got a two count before Adams kicked out. He grabbed Adams by the throat and lifted him to his feet. He said something to Adams before hitting a chokeslam!
Gemma Foster: Chokeslam! That could be it!
Daemon reached down and pulled Adams back up and wanted to hit a second chokeslam but Adams spun away in the air and landed on his feet. He walked up and hit a second Last Call! Adams grabbed the leg of Daemon and was able to lock in an Indian deathlock! Adams screamed at Daemon to tap out but Daemon slowly pulled himself to the ropes and got a break. Adams tried to pull Daemon back to the center of the ring but took a kick to the jaw. Daemon got to his feet and rocked Adams with the Inquisition! Adams hit the mat and rolled out of the ring before Daemon could go for a cover. Daemon climbed out of the ring but was tripped and he went face first into the steep steps. Daemon was dazed as he held his face and Adams crawled away from him. The referee was counting and Adams rolled into the ring and right back out to reset it. Adams grabbed Daemon and sent him shoulder first into the steel steps.
Scott Parker: Adams using everything he can to gain an advantage right now.
Adams reset the count once again and grabbed Daemon as he started to walk away. Adams yanked on the arm of Daemon and then slammed it into the post on the outside.
Gemma Foster: Adams is trying to make it so Daemon can’t lift him up.
Adams grabbed the arm of Daemon and hit a falling armbreaker. Adams reset the count once again and started to pull Daemon to his feet. Daemon pushed him away and hit a big boot! Adams got back to his feet and Daemon used his other hand to hit a chokeslam on the outside. The referee was at a 7 count and Daemon got into the ring and started to pull Adams through the ropes but Adams pushed off the apron and hit a falling armbreaker through the ropes. He fell to the outside and the referee called for the bell!
Gemma Foster: Wait. Daniel Daemon just won the match via a countout! He couldn’t get Adams back into the ring because Adams pushed himself off the apron!
Daemon grabbed the referee and demanded that he restart the match but Adams grabbed the Primetime Championship from the outside and started to make his way up the ramp. He shook his head in frustration of losing the match as he put the title on his shoulder.
Scott Parker: That is NOT going to sit well with Daemon.
Daemon pointed up at Adams as we cut away for commercial.
Scott Parker: Next Level: Ascension should be a great show, Gemma. To me, it’s THE show. We crowned our first ever champion at that event in Era I in 2015, our first champion in this era in 2018, and it is always amazing with that King of the Mountain match.
Gemma Foster: It was there where FM Young won her first ever EW World Championship, last year Daniel Daemon successfully defended the title in the match, we got the EW debut of Dave Blazenwing, AJ Adams won his first Primetime Championship, and so much more. It really is a great event!
Scott Parker: It’s Warfare Chamber time! Let’s see who is crowned Warfare Series winner!
Kayla Taylor and Harper Blake were already down to the ring and locked inside one of the pods as the Kingsmen stepped out onto the stage next.
Scott Parker: A big task at hand for all of these teams.
Junji removed his demon mask and tossed it as Fixit put his hand on Junji’s shoulder. The duo started to make their way down the ring and climbed inside the chamber, looking around at the structure. They climbed inside one of the pods as the Tag Team Champions came out next. Blazenwing and Mathews pointed down to the chamber and chatted on the stage.
Gemma Foster: This might just be up Luke and Dave’s alley. They’ve been in big match situations like this a lot more than the rest of the teams.
Scott Parker: The titles are NOT on the line in this match, remember that. The winner of this match, you’d have to believe, will be using that title opportunity to go after the Tag Titles though.
Dave and Luke were locked inside one of the last pods before Midnight Special made their way out next.
Gemma Foster: Midnight Special will be the last team in a pod so that means we know who is starting this match.
“Time Bomb” played as Dishonor hit the stage next. Evans took a knee in front of Hirano as he posed. The two made their way to the ring and Evans stepped up to the pod with the Tag Team Champions inside and started to pound on the pod. He pointed at the championships and jumped into the ring. Mayhew and Shay were out next, representing the Grrrls, with their neoprene masks on.
Scott Parker: Mayhew and Shay are going to look to make a full sweep here tonight in the Series.
The camera panned over to show the Warfare Series trophy sitting ringside. Shay and Mayhew climbed into the chamber and the doors were locked behind them. They got into the ring and the bell sounded. Dishonor and the Grrrls stood in the chamber and looked around.
Scott Parker: Every 3 minutes a new team will be added to this match. When it comes to points, the final team standing will get 12 points for the standings and you get 1 point for every team you eliminate. Remember, the winner of this match may not win the entire series! That trophy, and the title shots with it, is going to the series winner.
Mayhew and Evans locked up as Shay and Hirano started to exchange blows. Evans hit Mayhew with a chop to the chest and then pulled her into a headlock. Shay stepped up with an enziguri to Evans and broke things up. Hirano was there with a spinning heel kick to Shay. Mayhew hit Hirnao with a snapmare and kicked him in the back. She then hit the ropes and caught him with a sliding forearm. She rolled to her feet as she and Shay pulled Hirano up to his feet. They connected with a double suplex and looked around for Evans. He came flying off the top of the KayHarp pod and hit Mayhew with a meteora!
Gemma Foster: Jason Evans already pulling out all the stops!
Evans climbed to his feet and Shay hit him with a dropkick. They both rolled to their feet and Evans ducked under a clothesline and connected with a blue thunder bomb and covered, Mayhew breaking it up at two. Hirano was there and the clock started to count down as he brawled with Mayhew.
Scott Parker: Here comes KayHarp!
Blake and Taylor exited their pod and climbed into the ring and started to attack the Grrrls as Dishonor took a step back to collect themselves. Taylor sent Shay towards Blake and Blake connected with a bicycle kick to the face. Taylor wanted to hit Broadway Lights (Cross Rhodes) on Mayhew but Mayhew was able to get away. Mayhew hit Taylor with Brain Damage (Chris Hero's Death Blow). Blake charged and looked for a pump kick but Mayhew moved and then hit the ropes, coming back with Kneed You Tonight (Springboard Knee Strike). Evans came from the outside of the ring and targeted Mayhew and hit her with Seeing Stars (Slingshot DDT). He covered but she was able to kick out at two. Hirano readied himself and wanted to hit Mayhew with Yoi Yume O [Sweet Dreams] (Running Knee to knelt opponent) but Shay stepped up and caught him as he charged with the Greatest Kick Ever. Of All Time. (Black Mass)!
Gemma Foster: What a kick!
Shay covered but Evans broke it up at two and the timer started once again. This time, as it ended, it was Junji and Fixit who were next to enter.
Scott Parker: Here come the Kingsmen.
Shay had been knocked to the mat as Junji jumped into the ring. He charged and hit her with Deceptive Sorcerer (Junji sets up for a Shining Wizard but hops over the opponent right before hitting them and nails a back kick to the back of their head.). He covered Shay and she was able to kick out at two. Fixit was tossing Hirano and Evans around the ring with hip tosses and slams. Blake grabbed Junji and hit a ripcord forearm smash. Taylor came over and hit him with a spear. Taylor stood and was rolled up from behind by Mayhew and picked up a pinfall!
ELIMINATED: Kayla Taylor & Harper Blake
Scott Parker: That’s another point for Mayhew and Shay as they now sit at 29!
Blake couldn’t believe it and hit a running big boot to Mayhew!
Gemma Foster: Come on! They’ve been eliminated!
Blake collected Taylor as the two left and the action continued in the ring. Mr. Fixit hit Evans with a suplex and climbed back to his feet. The action slowed a little but the Kingsmen were in control as they were picking Dishonor and the Grrrls apart. The timer countdown started and out came Midnight Special! Cherry and Carbine jumped into the ring and started to brawl with Kingsmen.
Scott Parker: These two hard hitting teams going at it!
Carbine flipped Junji around with a running knee to the gut. Fixit flipped Cherry up and over to the outside hard floor with a backdrop. Carbine started to exchange blows with Fixit. Mayhew had moved over to Evans and covered and just got two. Hirano was up to his feet and Shay had him set up as Mayhew moved over and they connected with Broken Jaw (Wheelbarrow Hold by Caitlin + Stunner by Bailey). Shay covered Hirano and it got broken up as Junji fell backwards onto them after getting hit with an uppercut.
Scott Parker: Here come Dave and Luke! The Tag Team Champions are in the match!
The pod opened for Blazenwing and Mathews as they entered the ring and started to clear house. They tossed everyone out one by one until it was just them in the ring. Evans jumped in and was hit with a double backdrop before rolling out of the ring. Here came Shay and she was hit with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) by Blazenwing! Fixit was in the ring and clotheslined Blazenwing to the mat. Mathews hit the ropes and rocked Fixit with Tower of Power (Clothesline From Hell). Evans came off the top ropes and hit Mathews with a meteora. Hirano charged and hit Luke with a tornado kick as he stood. Evans started to climb to the top ropes and then to the top of a pod.
Gemma Foster: What does Evans have in mind?
Mayhew speared Blazenwing to the mat and they rolled under the ropes. Junji hit a slingshot senton on Mathews. Evans came flying off the top of a pod and connected with the Overdrive (630 Splash)!
Scott Parker: Overdrive!
Blazenwing hit Cherry with the Full Effect on the outside! Carbine speared him into the steel mesh of the chamber and Blazenwing started to fight back. Blazenwing locked Carbine in the Firehawk Lock (Crippler Crossface)! Shay came over to Carbine and locked in an anklelock! Evans crawled over to Mathews and covered and eliminated the Tag Champions!
ELIMINATED: Old Guard
Gemma Foster: Dishonor just took out the Tag Team Champions! They’ve secured a point and are sitting at 15. They’re still technically in this thing!
Blazenwing was forced to break his hold and Cherry was there to make sure he did. Cherry pushed Shay off and started to stomp on her. Blazenwing climbed out of the ring as Mathews was helped out. Evans was slow moving after coming off the pod hard. Mr. Fixit pulled Evans out of the ring and set him up for a powerbomb. He lifted Evans up and powerbombed him through the pod!
Scott Parker: Jason Evans is broken in half!
Hirano turned his attention to Evans for a moment before turning around and Mayhew hit him with the Lockjaw (Osaka Stunner)! She covered and got a pinfall!
ELIMINATED: Kaito Hirano & Jason Evans
Gemma Foster: 30 points for the Grrrls! We are down to the Grrrls, the Kingsmen, and Midnight Special. The Kingsmen can no longer win the series, they’ll be a few points shy even beating both these teams.
Fixit had entered the ring and hit Mayhew with Fixed (Powerful Haymaker). He dropped to a cover Shay broke it up at the last moment. The Kingsmen were both in the ring and quickly attacked Shay. She was lifted onto the shoulders of Fixit as Junji started to make his way to the top turnbuckle. Cherry jumped to the top rope beside Junji and grabbed him before hitting him with a German suplex off the top rope! Shay struggled on the top of Fixit and rolled forward and had him in a cover. He struggled to kick out but Mayhew held Shay back and they got the pinfall.
ELIMINATED: Junji Buranku & Mr. Fixit
Scott Parker: The Kingsmen were just eliminated by the Grrrls which brings them to 31 points!
Gemma Foster: Scott. Midnight Special can still win this entire series. Eliminating the Grrrls will bring them to 20 and then winning the match will make it 32!
Both teams took a few moments to collect themselves and talk strategy. They met in the middle of the ring and quickly came to blows. Cherry hit Shay with a step up enziguri. Shay pushed Carbine away and ducked a clothesline. She hit the ropes and took down both Cherry and Carbine with a crossbody. She rolled to her feet and hit a double senton splash on Midnight Special. She covered Cherry but he kicked out at two. Mayhew was making her way to the top, clearly wanting her frog splash but Carbine knocked her foot off the top. He climbed to the second turnbuckle and Shay attacked him from behind with a blow. Carbine turned and kicked her away and Cherry caught Shay with Baba Yaga Bullet (Running Flying Reverse Elbow to the Face). Carbine lifted Mayhew up and delivered a superplex. He rolled her into a cover and Mayhew kicked out.
Scott Parker: Bailey digging down really deep to kick out there. Carbine got to his feet and saw Shay start to stand and he rocked her with a knee trembler. Cherry started to pull Mayhew up to her feet and she pulled him down into a small package and got two before he kicked out. Cherry looked around confused and was hit with a big forearm from Mayhew. She looked for Hurricane Bailey (Cyclone Kick) but he ducked it and delivered a German suplex. Cherry pointed to Shay and Carbine went to her as Cherry went to the top. They had Shay in position and delivered the Last Picture Show (Piledriver [Carbine] / Double Stomp To The Soles Of The Feet [Cherry]). Cherry landed on his feet and Mayhew was getting up and they hit her with Minutes to Midnight (Slingblade [Cherry] / Backside Spear [Carbine])! Cherry covered Mayhew and picked up the victory!
ELIMINATED: Bailey Mayhew & Caitlin Shay
Scott Parker: Midnight Special picks up the victory of the first ever Warfare Chamber match and EMBLEM just won the entire Series!
Cherry sat on his knees as Carbine stood behind him and the referee brought the trophy into the ring. He handed it off and the two men held it up before a quick hug and pat on the back. Cherry took the trophy and climbed out of the ring and leaned on the ropes.
Gemma Foster: What a grueling match, Scott.
Scott Parker: Just add another impressive accolade to the resume of Midnight Special.
Gemma Foster: It’s main event time, folks!
Scott Parker: That’s my line. Before that, we have something to touch on. It’s already come down that next week on Hype #50 we’ll see AJ Adams and Daniel Daemon once again with the Primetime Championship on the line and this time it’ll be no countouts, no DQs, and falls count anywhere.
Gemma Foster: What does each competitor need to do in order to win this main event match, Scott?
Scott Parker: For FM, she needs to try and end this match quickly for her own sake. Those ribs still aren’t 100% and the longer the match goes the harder it’ll be for her to win. For Lacy, do what she’s been doing. Use those strikes. Her knees and feet have gotten her this far, just keep it up.
"Helix" by Amaranthe started to play and out walked FM Young. She was adjusting the straps on her gloves as she stepped to the center of the stage. She looked around the empty Warehouse and took a deep breath.
Gemma Foster: FM taking it all in. She’d love if the fans were here for this but she’s going to fight just like they were.
FM pat her chest before moving down the ramp and climbed up the steps before climbing inside. She jumped to the second turnbuckle and started talking and moving for the belt around her waist. She was getting fired up and stopped and turned her head as “Come and Get It” kicked up and Lacy Nelson slowly walked out to the stage. Hat backwards, sunglasses on, jacket zipped up. She unzipped and revealed the World Championship around her waist. She looked over the top of her sunglasses and smiled as she started to walk to the ring. She tossed her hat near the apron and jumped onto the apron. She climbed inside and threw her jacket as she leaned over the top ropes camera side. She tossed her sunglasses down and held up the championship and pointed to it as she said a few things.
Gemma Foster: Lacy Nelson has proven a lot of people wrong and is looking to do it once again. She’s beaten everyone put in her path as champion.
Scott Parker: FM Young has been damn near unstoppable since her return to wrestling a few short months ago.
Both competitors were introduced and posed to their names and the match was announced and the title was held up by the referee with both ladies looking at it. Nelson jumped side to side and rolled her shoulders and was ready. Young and Nelson met in the middle of the ring with a quick fist bump and circled. Nelson tried to go for Young and Young pulled her into a side headlock. Young flipped Nelson over onto the mat. Young was able to get her legs up and locked them in around the head of Young. Young moved and flipped over and bridged Nelson for a one count and Nelson powered to her feet, still holding onto Young. Nelson had Young in a powerbomb position and tried to lift her up but Young hit her with a hard right hand and she was dropped. Nelson rolled to her feet and Young slapped her hard with a big chop. Young unloaded with a series of chops to the chest of Nelson. Nelson started to come back with her own chops before Young lifted Nelson up and hit her with a spinebuster. Young pulled Nelson up and tried to send her into the corner but Nelson countered. Nelson charged and hit a big clothesline and slid out to the apron through the middle ropes, feet first. Nelson climbed to the top ropes and came off with a double axe handle smash. Nelson hit the ropes and caught Young with a running boot to the face. Young hit the mat and rolled to her knees. Nelson pulled her up and was pushed away.
Scott Parker: Lots of back and forth in the early going, Gemma.
Nelson charged but ran into a double knee to the face as Young jumped up. Young started to land a series of shin kicks to try and weaken the legs of Nelson before hitting her with a scoop slam. Young hit the ropes and looked for a running senton but Nelson rolled out of the way. Nelson jumped up and stomped on Young. She then pulled her to her feet and sent her into the ropes hard and Young hit and fell to a seated position. Nelson charged and hit her with a big running hip to the face! Young slapped her side and pulled Young out of the corner and covered for barely two. Nelson pulled Young up to her feet and readied her before delivering a Tiger Driver ‘98! Nelson covered again and got two before Young kicked out. Nelson looked at the referee and just pulled her hair away from her face. Young was slow to her knees and Nelson looked for the Hollywood Split (Shining Wizard) but Young ducked it. Young popped to her feet and turned Nelson inside out with her Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline)!
Gemma Foster: Man-Machine Interface!
Young got to her feet instead of going for a cover and moved to the corner. She looked back at Nelson and jumped up to the top rope and connected with the Negasonic Warhead (Starship Pain)!
Scott Parker: We haven’t seen FM hit that in a long time. She’s pulling out all the stops, Gemma!
Young hooked both legs and counted with her hand in the air and got two before Nelson kicked out. Young looked deflated thinking that was it and got to her feet. She pulled her hair back and rubbed her ribs and took a breath.
Gemma Foster: That might have taken a lot out of FM, Scott.
Young started to pull Nelson to her feet but Nelson speared her into the corner and started to thrust her shoulder into the midsection of Young. Nelson pulled Young out of the corner and hit her with a backbreaker. Young rolled into the corner to get away and Nelson rolled out of the ring. Nelson grabbed an arm and a leg and pulled Young into the ringpost under the bottom turnbuckle, pressing Young’s ribs on the post.
Gemma Foster: Lacy is targeting those ribs now.
Scott Parker: Young is in a lot of pain.
Nelson rolled back into the ring as the referee gave her a 5 count to break and she let go at four. Nelson pulled Young into the middle of the ring and grabbed her by the legs and locked in a Boston crab and sat on the back of Young. Young tried to pull herself to the ropes but couldn’t make it. Nelson stood and gave it more of a high angle as she made sure Young was away from the ropes. Young used her power to push up a little and was able to tuck herself in and get in front of Nelson. Young rolled Nelson up in a small package and Nelson kicked out at two. Young was slow to her feet and Nelson hit her with a running knee to the gut. Nelson pulled Young up and hit a German suplex and bridged into a pin and got two and a half before Young kicked out.
Scott Parker: That one was close!
Nelson started to pull Young up and Young battled back with a forearm to the face. Young started to hit Nelson with more chops to the chest. She quickly pulled Nelson in and hit a DDT and floated over into a cover for two. Young pulled Nelson up and lifted her onto her shoulders and delivered the Human Error Processor (Assault Driver)! The referee jumped into position and made the count as Young got two and Lacy just barely kicked out before three.
Gemma Foster: That was even closer! I can’t believe Lacy kicked out of that!
Young laid back and tried to catch her breath and she crawled to the ropes and used them to pull herself up as Nelson rolled away. Nelson was up and looked over at Young. The two squared up and met in the ring and went wild with blows and chops.
Scott Parker: Giving it their all!
Young started to land more chops than Nelson and sent her into the ropes and looked for Man-Machine Interface but Nelson ducked it. Nelson planted herself as Young turned back to her and Nelson rocked her with a superkick.
Gemma Foster: SUPERKICK!
Nelson dropped to her knees and fell onto Young for a cover and got two! Young kicked out at two and Nelson couldn’t believe it. Nelson pulled Young up to a seated position and hit her with a forearm before lifting her to her feet. Nelson had Young by the air and moved to her back before hitting her with the Le Gasp (Lungblower Backbreaker). Young rolled away in pain as she grabbed onto the ropes. Nelson readied herself as Young stood and she looked for another superkick but Young moved out of the way. Young grabbed Nelson from behind and pulled her to the center of the ring but then took a hard elbow to the side of the head. Nelson turned and grabbed the hand of Young and wanted to hit the Headline (Eat Defeat) but Young pulled her in with a vicious clothesline. Nelson stumbled up to her feet and Young hit the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check)! Young pulled Nelson up quickly and hit a second Heart of a Phoenix and covered for the win!
Scott Parker: FM DID IT!
Young rolled to her knees and burst into tears as her name was announced as the winner. She clutched the championship and held it close as she was on all fours in the ring. She put her head on the championship as she took it all in with her music playing.
Gemma Foster: FM Young is a two-time EW World Champion.
Young sat up and had pulled herself together and pulled her hair from her face as Nelson started to stir. Young helped her up and the two hugged in the middle of the ring. Nelson raised her hand before rolling out of the ring, clearly upset she lost. Young dropped to her knees again and held the championship up above her head.
Scott Parker: The comeback is complete, Gemma. FM sits at the top of Empire Wrestling.
The final shot of the night was Young sitting on the top turnbuckle facing the empty seats and holding the title up to the camera in celebration.
