Episode #50 - August 21, 2020
Scott Parker: It’s episode 50 of Hype! Welcome everyone! We are one week removed from Warfare and we have a brand new World Champion. FM Young successfully used her Victorem contract and walked out of the night as champion after beating Lacy Nelson.
Gemma Foster: It caps a big few months for FM Young as she came back and had her sights set on once again being the champion.
Scott Parker: And she did it. It was a great match, Gemma. Match of the year contender for sure.
Gemma Foster: I wonder what’s next for FM though. Does Lacy get a rematch? Who steps up next?
Scott Parker: We might not know that yet but we do know who is next in line for a Tag Team Championship. Tonight, Old Guard will be defending in a fatal four way match against Dishonor, the Kingsmen, and the Grrrls. Laying in wait will be Midnight Special as they won the Warfare series AND the Warfare Chamber match.
Gemma Foster: It really was a great event, Scott. We’ll also see the Primetime Championship on the line again tonight.
Scott Parker: Daniel Daemon is getting another chance to become Primetime Champion as he was able to walk out of Warfare with a countout win. Tonight, there won’t be any countouts as AJ Adams defends in a Fall Counts Anywhere match.
Gemma Foster: So much more action on deck tonight, Scott. Including some sort of announcement from Sara Logan. I couldn’t get any scoop on what it is though.
Summer Page Vs. Stella Rousakis
Scott Parker: Summer Page is set to make her Empire Wrestling debut here tonight, Gemma, as she takes on Stella Rousakis.
Stella made her way down to the ring first with her bodyguard Cerberus staying at the top of the ramp to watch over everything. She climbed into the ring and moved around the ring. "S&M" by Rhianna kicked up as we got our first look at “Spoiled” Summer Page. She made sure to pose at the top of the ramp and flipped her hair off her shoulders as she started to make her way down the ramp. She climbed up the stairs and pointed to the referee to hold the ropes for her as she entered.
Gemma Foster: Hold up, Scott. Who is that coming out from behind the curtain?
Angel Kash stepped out onto the stage opposite of Cerberus. She stood and watched down to the ring as the match was about to begin.
Scott Parker: Looks like Angel Kash is going to watch from the stage, Gemma.
Stella and Summer approached each other as the bell started the match and Summer looked for a traditional lock up but Stella caught her with a shin kick. Stella looked for a spinning backfist but Summer was able to duck under it and hit her with a chick kick to the side of the head. Summer grabbed Stella from behind and delivered a snap German suplex. Stella started to get to her knees and Summer flipped over her with a blockbuster. Summer tried for a cover but Stella kicked out just before two. Stella climbed up to her feet and caught Summer with a forearm smash to the face. Stella then grabbed Summer by the hair and flipped her to the mat with a hairmare. Stella wanted to hit a shining wizard but Summer was able to get her hands up to block most of the blow and they both started to climb to their feet. Stella took a swing but Summer grabbed her arm and pulled her in for the In Your Dreams (Sleeper).
Gemma Foster: Stella struggling to break out of that hold.
Stella was able to slip out and looked for a suplex but Summer countered into a small package for two before Summer kicked out. They both rolled up to their feet and Summer was able to hit the ropes and come back with her Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog). Summer went right into the submission hold of Spoiled Rotten (Banks Statement) and forced a tap out.
Summer Page finally released the hold after a few seconds of the bell ringing and she climbed to her feet as Cerberus was moving quickly to the ring to stop any further damage. Angel Kash smirked on the stage as she clapped for Page. Page met her at the top of the ramp and the two said a few things to each other before heading to the back.
Gemma Foster: Looks like we have a budding friendship, Scott.
We got a shot backstage with EARLIER TONIGHT in the corner of the screen as AJ Adams and Lacy Nelson arrived at the Warehouse. Adams had the Primetime Championship on his shoulder as the two were chit chatting and walking into the building.
National Viewership
Inside the ring is the EW Liaison, Sara Logan. Sitting beside her is a table about four feet high with something on it, a black cloth covering it. Logan had a big smile on her face as she brought a microphone up ready to speak.
Sara Logan: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in tonight and every night for the past two years. Over the past couple years we’ve had so many talented members on our roster and so many have achieved wonderful things. Tonight we have started the journey to Next Level: Ascension, THE biggest event of the year. It’s Empire Wrestling’s original big event. It was where we crowned our first champions, have seen amazing King of the Mountain matches, and hard fought action. This year will be no different as we will see the return of that match.
There’s a short pause as she looks over at the table and then back to the camera.
Sara Logan: Here in Empire Wrestling we have the World Championship. As World Champion all eyes are on you as you sit at the top of the company. If you are capable of winning this championship you are at the top of the game, eyes worldwide are watching you. Then there’s the Primetime Championship. A prize that shows that you’re worthy of “prime time”. It has a special light shining on it with the history of it even before it came to Empire Wrestling. Most recently we added the Extreme Championship. While niche, it’s for those that are willing to go a little extreme. So far we’ve already seen a couple amazing talents hold the prize. The division is looking stronger than ever and there’s more talent making their way to Empire Wrestling every week it seems. Tonight, we add to that championship lineage.
She reaches over and reveals a championship under the cloth.
Sara Logan: The National Championship. Ladies and gentlemen this championship will be defended weekly. It’s the perfect way to get those nationwide eyes on you. Each week, the holder of this championship, will put it on the line in a match with the following rules in place.
The rules flashed up on the screen as Logan read along.
Each wrestler has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls during the match. After a wrestler exhausts his rope breaks, submission and pin attempts under the ropes by the opponent are considered legal.
A wrestler is subject to a twenty count by the referee if the wrestler goes to the floor.
Unlike other championships, the National Championship can change hands on a disqualification or countout.
Sara Logan: Who is good enough to step into the national spotlight? We’ll find out at Next Level: Ascension in a King of the Mountain match!
Logan stepped out of the ring as the camera zoomed in on the title.
Gemma Foster: What an announcement, Scott!
Scott Parker: A championship that’ll be defending weekly? Huge!
Extreme Division Match
Gio DeLuca Vs. Austin Scott
Gio DeLuca: You know what I hate?
DeLuca’s voice boomed in the Warehouse as he walked out onto the stage.
Gio DeLuca: I hate that a little bitch like AJ Jerkoff thinks he’s going to “make me suffer”. I showed everyone what a little bitch he is with I pinned him to the mat at Warfare.
Gio was in the ring as he moved around.
Gio DeLuca: Tonight I’m goin’ for a’nother win and then I’mma keep workin’ my way to little Tia.
Austin Scott got tired of waiting for Gio to finish his promo and started to make his way down to the ring. Scott got to the ring quickly and went under the apron and tossed in a couple chairs. He pulled out a third and moved around the ring as Gio danced around ready for a fight. Scott kicked the top of the stairs off and moved them away from the post. He then climbed into the ring and DeLuca was right on him with a flurry of jabs. Scott speared DeLuca into the corner and started to ram his shoulder into Gio’s gut. Scott tossed DeLuca out of the corner with a big hip toss. DeLuca got up and charged but ran into Straight Whiskey (Running lariat) from Scott. Scott picked up a chair and opened it up, setting it up in the ring. He grabbed DeLuca and lifted him onto his shoulder and rammed him into the corner and then slammed him onto the open chair with Booze Cruisin' (Oklahoma Slam)! Scott covered and DeLuca kicked out just before three.
Gemma Foster: I can’t believe that Gio kicked out of that. He’s showing how tough he really is lately.
Scott Parker: Don’t let him hear you say that, it’ll go to his head.
Scott started to pull DeLuca up and DeLuca hit him with a jawbreaker. He hit the ropes and then caught Scott with a slingblade. DeLuca climbed to his feet and grabbed one of the other chairs and hit Scott in the gut with it before cracking it on the back of Scott. DeLuca dropped the chair and dropped Scott onto it with a DDT. DeLuca covered and got two before Scott kicked out. DeLuca climbed out of the ring and started looking under the ring for something. He was near the ramp and was attacked from behind by AJ Jenkynx.
Gemma Foster: AJ Jenkynx is attacking Gio!
The two brawled for a bit before Jenkynx smashed DeLuca face first into the steel post. He pulled DeLuca in and hit him with I’m Deadlier (Killswitch) onto the bottom half of the steel steps. Jenkynx rolled DeLuca into the ring and Scott covered for the three.
Gemma Foster: A little bit of payback for AJ here tonight as he just cost Gio a match.
Scott climbed to his feet and moved out quickly as Jenkynx jumped into the ring and stood over DeLuca. The cameras were backstage again and we could see Lacy Nelson chatting backstage in her street clothes, some sweats and a leopard top, hair in a ponytail. She was talking to one of the trainers as the screen flickered.
The camera came right back and Lacy was just smiling as she started to walk away.
Ruby Winters Vs. Marilyn Lee Cross
Winters was standing in the ring as she was announced for the next match.
Gemma Foster: Ruby Winters could really use a big win here tonight.
Scott Parker: Marilyn Lee Cross is coming off of a loss at Warfare in what was a really good match, Gemma. It had a lot of back and forth action and Cross nearly had it won but it was a veteran maneuver by Molly Hatchet that shifted that roll up and got her the win instead.
Cross came out to “Hallelujah” by Panic! At The Disco with some pep in her step with a little skip. She planted her feet and looked down to the ring, a little more serious than we’d seen her in some time. She stretched briefly and charged to the ring and slid under the ropes and popped to her feet. Cross moved around the ring and the bell sounded to kick us off. Winters tried to catch Cross off guard with a spear but ran right into a lifting kick to the chest. Cross hit her with the Hand Of God (Spinning Backfist) and then a hard palm strike that sent her falling backwards into a corner. She came staggering out and Cross hit her with a Superman forearm. Winters got to her feet and had to block an incoming back elbow. Winters pulled Cross in and drove her to the mat with a running bulldog. Winters started to pull Cross up and wanted to deliver a Russian legsweep but Cross battled away. Winters pulled Cross to the mat by her hair as Cross’ head bounced off the mat.
Scott Parker: That’s a nasty bump, Gemma.
The referee checked on Cross but quickly moved away as Cross said she was okay and got to her feet. Winters lifted Cross and connected with Lady Luck (Snake Eyes). She then looked for her Beauty Sleep (Chick Kick) but Cross ducked it before taking her down with a neckbreaker. Winters got to her knees and Cross rocked her with Knee Harvey Oswald (Running Knee to the side of an opponent's head). Cross was fired up as she pulled Winters to her feet and then right onto her shoulders before hitting her Do A Barrel Roll (Cartwheel Death Valley Driver). Cross quickly pulled Winters up to her feet and she couldn’t do anything as Cross hit the ropes and delivered John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head) before covering for the pinfall.
Scott Parker: Cross just dropped Winters like a sack of bricks with that kick.
Gemma Foster: She hits that and it’s over. Plain and simple, Scott.
Cross smiled as she had her hand raised in victory and moved around the ring as we cut to commercial.
Reap the Rewards
In the back we see Alicia Monroe sitting in the catering area sipping on some water and chatting with Jack and Josh Williams who were standing. They excuse themselves as Josh feels a hand on his back and it’s Sara Logan.
Sara Logan: If we can have a few minutes, please.
Monroe stands and shakes Logan’s hand.
Alicia Monroe: What can I do for you, Miss Logan?
Sara Logan: It’s more so what can I do for you, Miss Monroe. We’ve all been watching you and your sister go at it for months now and you went out there and showed that you can get the final laugh. Beating her in a best of five series? Congrats, Alicia.
Alicia Monroe: Thanks… but what do you mean what you can do for me?
Logan smiles and gives her a small pat on the arm.
Sara Logan: By beating Casey in the best of 5 series you’re going to be the first entrant in the King of the Mountain match for the National Title. Call it a first round bye as you’ve already proven yourself at Warfare. Good luck.
Logan dismisses herself as Monroe smiles.
Tag Team Championship Match
Fatal Four Way
Old Guard (Luke Mathews & Dave Blazenwing) (c) Vs. Kingsmen (Junji Buranku & Mr. Fixit) Vs. Dishonor (Jason Evans & Kaito Hirano) Vs. Grrrls (Bailey Mayhew & Caitlin Shay)
Scott Parker: This is a fatal four way for the match and there WILL be tags in and our. Two men will be in the ring at all times and you can make a tag to anyone but it’s first pinfall wins it all, Gemma!
Gemma Foster: This is going to be a challenge for the Old Guard, Scott. We’ve seen Luke Mathews and Dave Blazenwing thrive in matches like this in the past though. Mayhew and Shay have been on a roll though so they’re the team to watch out for.
Mayhew and Shay were the first team out to the stage and made their standard entrance. They made their way to the ring and started to talk in a corner as Dishonor hit the stage.
Scott Parker: Jason Evans put his body on the line at Warfare and it’s showing tonight, Gemma. He’s a little banged up with some taped up ribs heading into this match.
Evans and Hirano posed at the top of the ramp as their music played and they made their way to the ring. The lights went red before they made it to the ring however and we got the Kingsmen making their way out next.
Gemma Foster: Daemon hasn’t been too happy with the Kingsmen as of late, Scott.
Junji removed his mask as Fixit started to make his way to the ring, clearly ready to hit someone. Junji wasn’t far behind as the duo climbed into the ring and posed as Junji dropped to a knee and Fixit folded his arms behind him. Out next were the Tag Team Champions as Mathews made his way out first before the music changed over for Blazenwing and he jogged out to the stage. The two looked at each other and gave a quick forearm bump to each other and started walking to the ring. They climbed inside and showed off the Tag Team Championships as they each stood in on a turnbuckle.
Scott Parker: Dave and Luke also did really well within the Warfare Series and are now ready to get back to defending the championships.
The referee let Hirano and Mathews they had been randomly chosen to start the match and we got it introduced. Mathews and Hirano circled each other and Hirano caught Mathews with a hard kick to the legs as Mathews walked towards him. Hirano looked for a step up enziguri but Mathews ducked it. Hirano landed on his feet but Mathews quickly locked in a full nelson and slammed him to the mat. Mathews pulled Hirano up and sent him into the ropes and Evans tagged himself in as Mathews caught Hirano with a Somoan drop on the return. Evans came off the top and caught Mathews with a meteora and rolled up to his feet. Evans charged at Mathews and ran into a kick to the gut. Mathews looked for a powerbomb but Evans flipped right over and countered with a sunset flip powerbomb and covered before Mathews kicked out before two. Evans got to his feet and made a tag to Hirano who jumped back into the ring. Evans pulled Mathews up to his feet and started to lift him onto his shoulders but Mathews struggled and got to his feet and pushed Evans into Hirano. Hirano caught his partner and stopped him and turned him around. Evans ducked as he had to move and Mathews rocked Hirano with Tower of Power (Clothesline From Hell).
Gemma Foster: What a clothesline!
Evans hit Mathews with a dropkick as he stood and this allowed Mayhew to reach in and tag herself in to the match. Mayhew jumped in and covered Hirano but he got up at one. Mayhew and Hirano got to their feet and started to exchange blows. Mayhew hit him with a snapmare and then a hard kick to the back. He got to his feet and she then caught him with a palm strike before hitting Hirano with Brain Damage (Chris Hero's Death Blow). She went to run the ropes but Evans pulled the top rope down and she fell over the top. Evans and the Kingsmen both jumped off the apron and started to stomp on Mayhew. Old Guard and Shay quickly jumped down and a brawl started on the outside. They were all near the bottom of the ramp as Hirano got to his feet. He ran at them and took everyone out with a tope con hilo!
Scott Parker: Kaito Hirano just took out everyone with that!
Hirano moved people out of the pile and rolled Mayhew into the ring. He climbed back inside and she got to her feet. Hirano caught her with a tornado kick! Hirano took a few steps back as he was going to look for his running knee but Blazenwing tagged himself into the ring. Hirano turned and landed a few blows and pulled Blazenwing into the ring. Blazenwing pushed him away and connected with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)! Blazenwing turned back to Mayhew and she kicked him in the gut before connecting with Lockjaw (Stunner)! She covered as the referee was in position and made the count but Junji pulled her out of the ring at two.
Gemma Foster: Almost had new champions there, Scott!
Mayhew pushed Junji away but she was dropped with Fixed (Haymaker) by Mr. Fixit. Blazenwing made it to a corner and tagged in Evans, the only person still on an apron at the moment, as everyone else fought on the outside. Evans jumped into the ring and went right at the Kingsmen and went through the ropes with a tope suicida. Evans grabbed Mayhew and rolled her into the ring. He started to climb to the top ropes and Junji jumped up and tagged himself in as Evans dove and hit the Red Line (450 Splash). He covered but he wasn’t legal as Junji jumped into the ring. Evans got up, holding his ribs, as Junji took him down with a running headscissors takedown. Mayhew started getting to her feet and Shay was able to make a tag and jumped into the ring. Shay hit Junji with a running crossbody and rolled to her feet. She grabbed Junji and hit him with the Shayplex (Half Dragon Half Tiger Suplex). Fixit jumped into the ring and she caught him with a pele kick. Mathews was able to reach Junji and make a tag and climbed into the ring. She looked for The Greatest Kick Ever. Of All Time. (Black Mass) but Mathews ducked it. Mathews pulled her down into the Luke Lock (Gargano Escape). Shay tried to get to the ropes and started to struggle. Mathews had it locked in tight.
Scott Parker: I don’t think anyone has gotten out of this hold, Gemma!
Fixit reached into the ring and pulled Mathews off and then out of the ring. Fixit sent Mathews shoulder first into the steel steps. Blazenwing jumped down and speared Fixit into the barricade as the two started to fight with hard blows. Junji rolled Mathews into the ring and then tagged himself in as Shay started to stand. Mayhew was fighting with Dishonor as Junji connected with Jigoku ni Iku (Argentine backbreaker rack dropped into a knee lift to the back of the opponent's head). He covered and the referee made the three count before Mayhew and Dishonor could realize what was happening!
Scott Parker: Oh my god! The Kingsmen are the new Empire Wrestling Tag Team Champions.
Gemma Foster: I’m speechless, Scott.
All eyes turned to the ring as the Kingsmen were announced the winners and Blazenwing ran back to the ring and checked on Mathews who was grabbing his shoulder. Junji rolled out of the ring and handed a title to Mr. Fixit as the two made their way up the ramp.
Scott Parker: Somewhere Daniel Daemon is smiling.

Original Recipe
Rune walks to the ring with Karli and Fenryr at her side. Karli and Fenryr climb into the ring as Rune heads up to the announcer table and takes a microphone. She’s talking before she even joins Karli and Fenryr in the ring.
Rune Sigidottir: Let me tell you all something right now. Everyone in the back, you two clowns down there that talk during everyone’s matches, the management, the fans. I’ve been in this game for years and it has been my distinct pleasure to manage the most dominating force in professional wrestling. We’ve held numerous championship titles and have gathered other accolades as well. But, as I’m sure that anyone with a pulse and an internet connection can see, there’s been a bit of a…hiccup lately. Things have started falling apart for Ragnarok in the ring, and if those in charge think we haven’t noticed what the problem is, well, they’re just stupid. But solving the problem requires a certain…delicacy that only Fenryr can manage.
Fenryr grabs Karli by the throat and shoves her back into the corner.
Karli Frost: What…what are you doing?!
There’s no answer from Fenryr, but Rune continues talking. Fenryr looks like he could murder Karli and sleep like a baby.
Rune Sigidottir: The solution is simple. Fenryr and I are going back into business for ourselves after we dump about a hundred and forty…
Rune looks back at Karli and then smiles as if she's about to unleash some great secret.
Rune Sigidottir: …five…pounds of useless, dead weight.
Fenryr holds Karli in the corner by the throat.
Rune Sigidottir: You’ve betrayed us, Karli. It all started when you missed that first match for the Warfare trophy and it continues even now. You know who destroyed Fenryr’s car. You have to know! You cost us the Warfare tournament. You’ve caused us nothing but embarrassment! Now it’s time to pay!
Karli shakes her head but doesn’t say anything.
Rune Sigidottir: You can deny it all you want but we know the truth! You’re up to something! But I’m going to tell you this. I’m better at these mind games than you are, but I’m a bit perplexed here. You can tell me why you’re doing this and who you’re doing it with and nothing bad will happen to you.
A beat.
Rune Sigidottir: What? You don’t have anything to say?
Karli can’t talk because Fenryr is choking her. He launches her across the ring by the neck before he and Rune descend on her and deliver a vicious beating. Karli tries to escape but every time she gets close to the ropes they pull her back to the center of the ring. The beating continues until “Coming Undone” begins to play and Casey runs out of the back with a baseball bat in her hand. Fenryr and Rune ditch the ring and circle around before heading to the back. Casey stands there with the bat on her shoulder. Karli stands up behind Casey, but when she approaches Casey turns to face her. She puts the bat in her chest and shoves Karli into a corner. Casey is handed a microphone.
Casey Grey: Karli, don’t think for a second that I ran out here to stop them from stompin' you stupider because I like you. It looks like they’ve kicked you out of what’s left of their gang, though, and you are out here all alone. Except for me, of course. So what I need you to do is stand there, shut up, and listen. I’m not proposin' that we become friends or anything, God knows I wouldn’t be able to stomach that, but I am proposin' a sort of treaty of…mutual assured survival. See, you’ve made a lot of enemies over the past few years and since I’m in the process of burnin' every bridge I’ve ever built we’re both kind of in a dangerous spot. We can go back to hatin' each other after we deal with our enemies.
Karli looks like she’s about to say something.
Casey Grey: You don’t have to answer right now. Take your time. Really think about it.
Casey throws the microphone at Karli’s feet and leaves the ring, heading towards the back with her bat on her shoulder. Karli watches her, then picks up the microphone.
Karli Frost: Casey! Hey, Casey!
Casey turns around.
Karli Frost: You’re right. And while it’s true that I’d rather die that actually stand beside you, I accept your offer.
Casey nods and continues to the back, Karli follows some distance behind.
The Better Woman
We’re backstage once again as we are treated to the new World Champion, FM Young, chatting with a few workers giving her congratulations. The title sits on her shoulder as she goes to turn to leave the group and she’s approached by Lacy Nelson. Nelson scratches her chin and neck and then takes a deep breath.
Lacy Nelson: Hey, FM.
FM Young: Hey, Lacy.
Lacy Nelson: We all saw that you were the better competitor last week and it’s going to be a long time before I accept that. I’ve never dealt with loss well, no matter what kind of loss. That championship ended up meaning more to me than I thought it would but, I know you’ll do it proud. Congratulations, champ.
Nelson put her fist out and Young gave her a smile and returned the fist.
FM Young: We’ll do it again sometime, don’t worry. Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and come back at me even more ready.
Young patted Nelson on her back and left. Nelson took a deep breath as the lights flickered for a moment. She looked around and shrugged before walking away. A silhouette could be seen watching her walk away from afar.
Gemma Foster: Was someone just watching Lacy Nelson?
Scott Parker: I don’t know, Gemma.
Extreme Division Match
Ursula Von Rossbach Vs. Brighton Fischer
Fischer was out first for this match and she stepped out to the stage with a kendo stick in hand. She removed her neoprene mask and gave a smirk before putting it back on and made her way down the ramp.
Scott Parker: Brighton Fischer out here tonight with Zoey Mathews-Mitchell’s kendo stick as she looks for a bit of retribution for one of her Grrrls teammates.
Gemma Foster: She’s going to have a heck of a time doing it, Scott.
“HEAR ME NOW” roared as Ursula Von Rossbach stepped out onto the stage. She removed a Von Rossbach tank top and tossed it aside before moving down the ramp at a quick pace. She jumped onto the apron and climbed right into the ring. Fischer threw her neoprene mask at Von Rossback and started to unload with hard kendo stick shots.
Gemma Foster: Brighton knows she needs to attack fast and hard if she’s going to take down Ursula here tonight and she’s not holding back!
Fischer landed around six shots to the arms and back of Von Rossbach before she finally caught the kendo stick. Fischer tried to pull it away but Von Rossbach had it trapped under her arm and against her body. Von Rossbach pulled her in and dropped her to the mat with the Great Slap (A downward one handed slap to the face that drives ANY opponent straight to the floor.). Von Rossbach lifted Fischer back to her feet and tossed her into the corner. She charged and landed a big corner clothesline before lifting Fischer up and powerslamming her out of the corner. Fischer rolled out of the ring and collected herself and moved around the ring.
Scott Parker: The power of Ursula Von Rossbach is incredible.
Fischer started to climb up to the apron and Von Rossbach grabbed her by the hair and pulled her up. Fischer jumped down and hung Von Rossbach over the top rope. Fischer jumped back up and climbed to the top rope and turned. She came off the top and hit Von Rossbach with a standing moonsault to take her down. Fischer pulled Von Rossbach up and caught her with a ripcord knee strike. She looked for the bicycle knee strike but Von Rossbach blocked it. Von Rossbach grabbed Fischer by the leg and flipped her over with a leg capture spinebuster. Von Rossbach rolled into a cover and got two before Fischer kicked out. Fischer started to power to her feet and hit Von Rossbach with a forearm to the face. She looked for her Fisch Hook (Cutter) but Von Rossbach pushed her away. Fischer grabbed the kendo stick and hit Von Rossbach in the arm with it again. Fischer hit the ropes and Von Rossbach chased right after her and clotheslined her over the top rope. Fischer landed on her feet but fell back into the announce table. She grabbed a steel chair and climbed back into the ring. Fischer went to swing the chair but Von Rossbach just headbutted it right out of her hands!
Gemma Foster: What!? Ursula just headbutted that chair like it was nothing.
Fischer looked on in awe as Von Rossbach hit her with DENIED (Headbutting a Steel Chair out of her opponent's hands and without missing a beat, often hitting a big boot style front kick straight in her foe's face or chest while they are stunned at how badly that plan backfired.). Von Rossbach rolled Fischer over and locked in the Great Lock (Steep angled wrenching Full Nelson Camel Clutch) and Fischer quickly tapped out!
Von Rossbach stood and had her hand raised in victory as Fischer crawled towards the ropes and sat against them.
Gemma Foster: And another win here for Ursula Von Rossbach.
Primetime Championship
Falls Count Anywhere
AJ Adams (c) Vs. Daniel Daemon
Scott Parker: Main event time!
The lights go red as “Square Hammer” by Ghost starts to play in the Warehouse. Slowly, out walked Daniel Daemon. He stood on the stage as he looked around the Warehouse. He started to slowly move down to the ring.
Gemma Foster: Daemon always moves to the ring in such a calculating way.
Daemon stood in the center of the ring as the lights came back up. “Lights Out” by POD kicked up and out walked AJ Adams. He had the championship around his waist as he took a knee.
Scott Parker: The Kingsmen walked away with gold earlier, can Daemon do the same?
Adams took off the Primetime Championship and stood. He looked down to the ring and held it up as Daemon invited him down to the ring. Adams charged and slid into the ring and let the title go as she jumped to his feet. Adams started to unload with hard chops to the chest of Daemon and Daemon swatted him away with a right hand. Adams hit the mat and rolled back to his feet and speared Daemon into the corner. Daemon clubbed Adams in the back and then kicked him away. Daemon looked for the Inquisition (POWERFUL running lariat) right off the bat but Adams ducked it. Daemon turned and Adams hit him with an European uppercut. Adams then drove his knee into the gut of Daemon multiple times before sending him into the corner. He charged and hit a big running corner uppercut. Adams pulled Daemon out from the corner and hit Eat It (Fame-Asser). He covered Daemon and barely got two before Daemon kicked out. Daemon got to his feet and took a big shoulder tackle but didn’t fall down. Adams went for a second but ran into a big boot. He rolled to his feet and Daemon grabbed him by the throat and delivered a chokeslam! Daemon went to cover and got two before Adams kicked out. Daemon pulled Adams to his feet and sent him into the corner. Daemon charged and ran into a boot to the face. Adams jumped to the second turnbuckle and came off with a knee to the face. Daemon staggered but didn’t go down. Adams hit the ropes and Daemon lifted him with a backdrop and sent him flying out of the ring, crashing hard to the floor!
Gemma Foster: Did you hear that thud!?
Adams crawled over to the barricade and used it to pull himself up as Daemon rolled out of the ring. Daemon charged and Adams moved, Daemon crashing into the barricade. Adams hit a couple forearm strikes and then bounced him head first off the announce table. Daemon grabbed Adams and slammed him onto the floor with a scoop slam and covered for two. Adams started to get to his feet and Daemon stomped on him multiple times. Daemon then pulled Adams up to his feet and hip tossed him across the announce table as Foster and Parker quickly moved.
Scott Parker: Watch out, Gemma!
Adams climbed to his feet and jumped off the announce table and hit Daemon with a knee strike to the face. Adams rolled forward and climbed back to his feet and hit Daemon with the Last Call (Codebreaker)! Adams covered Daemon on the outside and got two before Daemon was able to kick out. Adams took a few moments to breathe and got to his feet as Daemon started to stand. Adams speared Daemon into the barricade and then backed away. Adams pulled the steel steps out and eyed Daemon. Adams charged and ran off the steps and looked for a double axehandle but Daemon grabbed him out of the air and then lifted him back up and down onto the steps with a chokeslam! Daemon covered Adams on the steps and got a two count before Adams kicked out.
Gemma Foster: I can’t believe that AJ just kicked out of that.
Daemon pulled Adams off the steps and moved him towards the announce table once again and got him to his feet. Adams tried to fight back and kicked Daemon in the gut and locked in the Lights Out (Tazzmission). Daemon started to slip the longer Adams had it locked in.
Scott Parker: Lights out! Lights out!
The referee checked on Daemon who was still alert enough to respond. He stood and then rammed Adams back first into the steel post. Adams let go of the hold and Daemon tossed him across the floor onto the announce table. Daemon climbed onto the announce table with him as Adams tried to fight back. Daemon rocked him with a headbutt and Adams fell to a knee. Daemon lifted him and delivered his new finisher, the Twist of Cain II (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) through the announce table!
Gemma Foster: AJ Adams might be broken in half!
Daemon was able to cover Adams through the rubble and picked up the three count for the victory.
Scott Parker: Daniel Daemon is the new Primetime Champion.
Daemon crawled out from the wreckage and climbed into the ring. He was handed the Primetime Championship as he stood and placed it on his shoulder. He took a deep breath before leaving the ring and made his way up the ramp.
Gemma Foster: AJ Adams is starting to move and he knows what’s happened.
Scott Parker: Daniel Daemon and the Kingsmen are all wearing gold.
Daemon stood at the top of the ramp with one hand behind his back as the Kingsmen made their way out with their newly won Tag Team Titles. They took a knee in front of their Emperor as the lights went red. All three held up their titles before disappearing to the back.
One Woman Conquest
The voice of Porcelain Black rings out across the Empire Wrestling Warehouse; “I'm on the battlefield, like, oh my God. Knockin' soldiers down like House of Cards...I'm a one-woman army”.
Then the twangy guitar riff and driving drum beats of “Helix” by Amaranthe kick on as FM Young stands at the top of the ramp for a moment, the white strapped Empire Wrestling World Championship over her shoulder as she wears it like a bandoleer in her usual style. Her partner, Morgan Payne, stands back just a bit, carrying a black velvet bag over her own shoulder.
Scott Parker: Well, folks, your new World Champion is here!
Gemma Foster: It’s really good to see FM Young as the World Champion again.
FM pumps her fist and twirls up the ramp, to her usual pyro and smoke effects, taking a moment to beat on the faceplate of the championship across her chest, before hopping up to the ring apron. Morgan moves to hold the ropes open then ducks through herself, yanking the mic away from the stagehand and handing it to FM, who simply shrugs at Morgan’s impatience. Morgan for her part looks like she knows something is up and can’t wait for it to happen, eagerly leaning against a ring post. She looks at the camera and flicks her ear, indicating people need to listen closely as FM begins to speak.
FM: Look at that, guess who’s back? WHO’S CHAMPION AGAIN? No Kings, No Queens, No Emperors, or jesters, no Gods or Monsters. Just me. Me. Who I am, and who I’ve always been. I wanna talk about the Championship and what it means to me. See, I saw on last week’s show, Tia Santos and her little spiel... don’t get it twisted. Tia isn’t on my hit list right now… But she took that championship she won and she dedicated it to her god...Which reminded me, being a champion use to fucking mean something. You were a champion, a mortal, gifted representative of a higher goddamn power. Not a monarch, not a dictator on some throne, but someone given a task to do, and a name to defend.
Leaning back against the turnbuckle with that black velvet bag in one arm, Morgan raises a fist in the air and pumps it in the air as she looks down at the mat. Preach that shit.
FM: But everyone forgets that, everyone forgot that it’s a champion’s role to serve. I forgot that! The first time, I took my championship for granted, nearing the end of my rope. I didn’t care, but I won’t let anyone say that I act as if I’m blameless. A champion is supposed to pick the company up. They are supposed to put their title and their company on their back and CARRY IT. The first time I was champion, I was a poor example, I admit. I was too weak to accomplish this. I had spent myself carrying far too many companies that simply didn’t give a fuck about me as a person. They were happy to feed off my work and keep me at the bottom because I never refused to do my damn job. I took pride in breaking myself for my work. No. More.
FM stops a moment and takes a couple of deep breaths, Morgan just smirks, even reaching out to pat FM on the shoulder after a moment as FM calms down.
FM: Recently, I haven’t been in the best of moods. I have recently realized that I had surrounded myself with people who worked to hold me down for their own benefit. That even during my injury, even during my break...I was left alone by supposed family and scolded when I returned. That companies I’d worked for took advantage of my willingness for self-destruction. I have cut the fat from my life, and while painful I must believe that is for the better. That isn’t however necessarily Empire Wrestling related, so let’s move on. Too many other champions as of late have made big promises, only to fall horribly flat on their face. That won’t be me, I’m living up to my word.
FM stops here and runs a hand through her hair, looking downtrodden for even just a moment, as even alluding to her problems is a painful subject. Before she picks up again, sounding calmer, sounding more confident.
FM: Casey Grey wants you all to believe that I abandoned her, but where was SHE when I spent months in rehab? Where was SHE? Not being a damn friend. Do you know who was? As sad as it might be to some, but when I came back? Empire Wrestling invited me home, they welcomed me like a goddamn hero. Despite failing them, they still gave a damn. Empire Wrestling had representatives check in with me. This time I won’t fail. Daemon wants everyone to believe nobody cares for this company but him, but it is MY home. It is MY HOUSE! After tonight, after I’ve taken my time to recover? Empire Wrestling goes on MY back, and I will put this company first. I’ll continue Lacy’s Open Challenge. I’m even in talks to include the OATH roster into that challenge, though I promise nothing yet. To that effect, as the first-ever two time World Champion, Empire Wrestling staff have allowed me something special. Something I will take to heart and treasure, and honor. I bet you’re all wondering what’s in the bag?
FM puts the white strapped Empire Wrestling World title down respectfully in the center of the ring and grabs the bag as Morgan hands it to her. She opens the bag and pulls out this, patting the faceplate with a big goofy grin as she settles it onto her shoulder.
FM: Empire Wrestling rep’s have granted me the allowance for my own Custom Championship. It’s beautiful, I love the new logo too. I got a say in how it was designed. Don’t worry Lacy, your white belt is going into the velvet bag, and then it will be displayed in the Warehouse for the day that someone might be able to beat me for it. For now? I carry this title with me. I carry it on my shoulders and the company it stands for on my back. This is a piece of my home, and I, its Champion, it’s representative. Anyway, I’m glad to be home. I wish the fans were here because I miss you all, but I’ll continue to fight for you. I’ll continue to perform at the level I know I can. No distractions, no excuses. No Emperors, No Kings, No Queens, No Machines, No Gods, No Monsters. Just a fucking tough Tiger, hard to break, impossible to kill, with an indomitable fighting spirit.
Morgan moves to pick up the white belt and heft it into the black bag, securing it and holding onto it. FM Young walks to each corner of the ring, doing her archers pose with the Championship belt held out for the world to see each time as “Helix” by Amaranthe plays. Then she stands there and lets Morgan strap it around her chest in the bandoleer style.
Gemma Foster: That’s one flashy belt! I love it. It fits FM well!
Scott Parker: FM says she wants to continue to defend the championship like Lacy was and I think that is a fine-
The music comes to a halt as both Morgan and FM look at each other. “The Parable (Tomorrow Man Mix) started to play and out stepped Ben Macbeth.
Scott Parker: It’s Ben Macbeth! He's back! What’s in his hand?
Macbeth looked down and lifted up a championship as he looked down to the ring.
Scott Parker: Wait. That’s the original EW Heavyweight Championship.
Gemma Foster: That Macbeth never lost because the company went into hiatus! The uncrowned champion is calling his shot!
Macbeth held his championship in the air and then pointed at Young and her title. Young smiled as Morgan looked at her.
Scott Parker: I think it’s clear what Macbeth wants. He’s never been given a World Championship match here in EW and he’s saying it’s time. He’s using the Warfare Series win for EMBLEM to call out FM Young!
The shot ended on Young holding up her championship with Macbeth placing the original EW Heavyweight Championship at his feet.
