Preshow: The close to 200 fans in attendance were unsure how to greet Johnny Draco but once Tiffany Page came out to manage him they started to boo. Jack Williams came out with quick strikes and was using his boots to try and take out the knees of Draco. After a dragon screw leg whip, Williams was slowed down. The two fought back and forth and Page tried to get involved but was quickly run off by Josh Williams. Draco had his attention turned to the outside and Jack Williams tried to roll him up but Draco kicked out just in time. Draco countered a clothesline into his Regime Drop (Rock Bottom) and picked up a win. WINNER: Johnny Draco
Next Level: Ascension - September 18, 2020
Scott Parker: Welcome to Next Level: Ascension! We are live from the Warehouse here in Long Island City, New York with close to 200 fans on hand. Tonight we once again see a huge King of the Mountain match and it will determine the first ever Empire Wrestling National Champion!
Gemma Foster: The King of the Mountain match is one of my favorites here in EW. 5 competitors are being given a big opportunity here tonight and it could be career changing.
Scott Parker: Every championship is on the line tonight in what should be a big night. Tag Team gold up for grabs as Kingsmen are set to defend for the first time against Midnight Special. Daniel Daemon will see Marilyn Lee Cross as he defends his Primetime Title. Riley Rouse is back in Empire Wrestling and is challenging Tia Santos for the Extreme Title.
Gemma Foster: And the big main event, Scott. A World Championship worthy of Next Level: Ascension between FM Young and Ben Macbeth.
Scott Parker: It’s been well documented the success that Ben Macbeth has seen here in Empire Wrestling but he’s not facing a pushover. FM Young is the heart and soul of this company and she’s going to bring one of the toughest fights he’s ever seen.
Gemma Foster: The Tomorrow Man is looking to become today’s World Champion. EMBLEM has been nothing short of dominant and this could be the start of Macbeth at the top of the ladder once again.
“Diamonds” by Rihanna started to play and the fans booed as the Social Elite stepped out onto the stage. Page and Kash stood back to back with smiles on their face as gold fireworks went off around them. Tiffany Page stepped out and joined the duo on their way to the ring.
Gemma Foster: Angel and Summer are looking to get their win back against Kayla Taylor and Harper Blake.
The team was announced as Angel Kash got in the face of the referee and told Mike Harris he better do his job correctly. The fans gave a little pop to Harper Blake and Kayla Taylor as they were out next for the match. Blake and Taylor got to the ring and gave a quick pose on turnbuckles before jumping down. They talked things over and Blake was going to kick things off. Kash stepped into the ring for her team and things got started with a lock up. Kash quickly pulled the hair of Blake and Blake clocked her with a right hand. Kash got a warning after an eye rake made Blake stagger into the ropes. Kash grabbed her and connected with a bulldog. Kash flaunted around the ring to boos as she tagged in Page. Page and Kash grabbed Blake and flipped her over with a double hip toss. Page stomped on Blake as she tried to stand. Page pulled Blake in for a DDT but was speared into a neutral corner. Blake started to unload with wild punches in the corner that got Page into a seated position. Blake ran the ropes and Taylor tagged herself in as Blake came back and hit Page with a Facial (Running Facewash).
Scott Parker: And here comes Kayla!
As Blake moved out of the way, Taylor hit Page with a diving corner elbow. Taylor pulled Page out of the corner and got two before she kicked out. Kash was cheering her partner on from the apron as she started to stand. Taylor started to pull Page in for the Broadway Lights (Cross Rhodes) but Page was able to get free. Page hit Taylor with the Golden Rule (Reverse Neckbreaker) and both ladies were down.
Gemma Foster: Evenly matched right now, Scott.
Page was up first and made a tag to Kash. Page grabbed Taylor from behind and hit her with a German suplex. Kash ran over and hit a running leg drop and overed. Blake jumped into the ring and broke up the count at two. Page jumped back into the ring and she and Blake started to brawl as the referee tried to get them out of the ring. Tiffany Page got on the apron with a chair and tried to hand it to Kash but the referee caught them and grabbed the chair and threw it out of the ring before sending Tiffany Page to the back as she screamed at him.
Gemma Foster: Tiffany Page is out of here!
Taylor rolled Kash up with a school boy pin and got two before Kash kicked out. Kash staggered up to her feet and Page tagged herself in and climbed inside. Taylor started to battle them both with a double dropkick to their knees. They dropped and Taylor hit Kash with Stamp It Out (Superkick to opponent on knees). She looked for one on Page but Page ducked it. Kash and Page were up and hit Taylor with a double back drop. Kash was out of the ring and Page ran the ropes but the top rope was pulled down by Blake and she fell to the apron. Blake caught her with a headbutt and then dumped her back into the ring. Blake climbed into the ring and hit Taylor with Future Sight (V-Trigger)!
Scott Parker: What the hell was that!?
Blake quickly pulled Taylor up and hit a falcon arrow as Page and Kash just watched on. Page tagged Kash in and Blake rolled out of the ring.
Gemma Foster: Harper Blake just took out Kayla Taylor and is leaving the ring!
Kash locked in the Liquidation (Triangle choke armbar) and the referee called for the bell.
Gemma Foster: I can’t believe what we just saw, Scott.
Scott Parker: Harper Blake just gave Page and Kash the win.
Kash and Page hugged in the middle of the ring in celebration as the fans booed. They flipped their hair at them before leaving Taylor looking around in confusion.
Pure, Chosen, Champion.
The camera cuts backstage to Hayley Halsey in the studio and she’s in a mixed mood. She’s definitely thrilled about having a championship match in just her second go around in Empire Wrestling, but she still looks like someone that is not pleased about what’s in front of her. She lets her thoughts process in her head for a few moments before she begins to express said thoughts.
Hayley Halsey: Surprise, surprise…. I won my debut in this company. Okay, I need to stop being so facetious, I’m definitely NOT surprised! After all, I am one of the best true prodigies to hit this company in a long time. In fact, did you know that in just FOUR matches, I already was a champion? Okay, so it was in this horrible place named PHW and I can’t even remember the name of the champion that I beat, BUT… what matters is that I proved that I could get it done and think of it this way… when I first hit this business… I was just shy and timid and I was so scared and so introverted and I STILL managed to accomplish something four matches in… which so many of you can’t even say such a thing. In this hellhole named California Wrestling, I was a champion there in just… four matches? Three? Whatever, the point is, I made quick work of that company and padded my resume just a little further.
And then there was… ‘that last company’...
Hayley pauses and definitely looks annoyed about this mention, even though this mention isn’t by name whatsoever.
Hayley Halsey: They really messed around with me, thinking it was funny to stick me in openers, thinking that I was just some gatekeeper bitch but joke’s on them… I managed to overcome the horseshit that they threw at me and I became a champion there too! They couldn’t stand this so they did everything in their power to try to get that title off of me including, but not limited to: having me defend the title literally a week after I won it, sticking me in multi-people title defenses and sticking me in random ass tag matches where they had to put every champion’s title on the line… and unfortunately, it worked in the latter case so I got sick of their stupid little games and I got the fuck out. But STILL… I’m SO prodigious that I OVERCAME their little games to even hold a championship to begin with. The fact of the matter is… I was too good for that hellhole… and that hellhole that I left to came here is part of what’s WRONG with this business: where morals don’t exist… where the ‘powers that be’ have their ‘chosen ones’... which I never COULD be one of them… but that’s okay… I landed in a company where I am going to get over the top and where I am going to be allowed to be my very best: no strings attached, no bullshit uphill battles. Case in point: having THIS opportunity in just my SECOND match here! Don’t get me wrong. I’m overjoyed by this! An opportunity to be the National Champion this quickly… I’m telling you… Empire Wrestling KNOWS talent when they see it! That’s why they chose me to be part of their roster. However… I’m NOT happy about ONE little detail…
She takes a second and scoffs.
Hayley Halsey: A “King of the Mountain” match? Really? That’s SO RIDICULOUS! Why can’t we just have a good ol’ fashioned, one night only 8 person, classic wrestling tournament? I mean… come ON! Do we REALLY need the gimmick? Seriously! This is STUPID… but hey… I’ve overcome STUPID before to win a championship… *cough* my last company…. *cough*
She rolls her eyes at the camera.
Hayley Halsey: I’m here to bring this business back to respectability… to fight against nonsense like this and prove that you don’t need ladders or chairs or weapons or gimmicks to be the best PURE WRESTLER that you can be! I’ll fight your stupid little gimmick and I’ll play your stupid little game… but if you think a match like this puts the best PURE PRODIGY IN THE BUSINESS at a disadvantage, you are SORELY mistaken. On the contrary… it’ll make my imminent accomplishment all the more IMPRESSIVE! So to my opponents, I’ll leave you with this. NONE of you could EVER outwrestle me… you NEED a stupid little King of the Mountain match sideshow to beat me. That right there? That’s a LOSS for you. And if… WHEN I win this… that’s even WORSE! I win… I overcome the obstacles… I don’t… it doesn’t take away my shine whatsoever! It’s WIN WIN for me!
She smirks and points to herself.
Hayley Halsey: But one way or another… tonight, you’re all going to know why I’m the CHOSEN ONE to purify this sport back to respectability…
Hayley maintains a sense of determined anger as she leaves the studio, ready, willing and determined to make a huge impact tonight.
Scott Parker: It’s time for our first title match of the night!
“Smooth Sailing” by Queens of the Stone Age kicked up and there was a small pop for Midnight Special. Cherry and Carbine stepped out to a mixed reaction as the two men stood on the stage. There were three big fireworks on the stage before they walked down to the ring.
Gemma Foster: The longest reigning Tag Team Champions in Empire Wrestling history are looking to capture their second championship here tonight.
The fans in attendance switched to loud boos as “Face Fisted” by Dethklok kicked up and the lights went red. Junji and Mr Fixit walked out slowly with the Tag Team Titles around their waists. Junji took a knee while Fixit stood beside him. Junji slowly removed his demon mask and placed it on the ground. The duo started to make their way down to the ring.
Scott Parker: The Kingsmen with a big defense here tonight, Gemma.
Junji and Fixit climbed into the ring and posed with the titles in their hands. They held them up in front of Midnight Special as the lights came back up. Cherry and Carbine got in the faces of the Kingsmen as they handed off the titles and the match was announced. The two teams came to blows right away and the bell rang.
Gemma Foster: This is going to be a fight if the referee can’t get this under control early on.
Fixit and Carbine eventually moved their fight to the outside of the ring. Junji and Cherry exchanged arm drags before meeting back in the middle of the ring. Cherry grabbed Junji by the hand and split his fingers apart and then hit him with a forearm to the face. Junji looked for a superkick that Cherry side-stepped and then grabbed Junji from behind. Junji ran towards the corner and then pushed himself backwards but Cherry rolled through with him and then went right into a German suplex. Fixit rolled into the ring and hit Cherry with a running big boot. Carbine was right behind Fixit and clubbed him with a clothesline to the back. Fixit turned quickly and Carbine hit him with an atomic drop and held him in place. Cherry came running over and hit Fixit with Cherry’s Jubilee (Jump Stalling Sidekick). Carbine then lifted and hit Fixit with a spinebuster.
Scott Parker: Midnight Special taking it to the champions right now!
Junji came flying off the top rope with a double dropkick. Junji jumped up to his feet and hit Cherry with a snapkick to the head. Carbine got up to his feet and took a hard kick to the leg before a knee to the gut. Junji took him down with the Akuma Buster (Leapfrog Facebuster). Junji kicked Carbine out of the ring and Cherry was back up. Cherry grabbed Junji from behind and looked for a German suplex but Junji flipped backwards and landed on his feet. Junji hit Cherry with a chop block and then rolled to his feet. He hit the ropes and connected with Deceptive Sorcerer (Junji sets up for a Shining Wizard but hops over the opponent right before hitting them and nails a back kick to the back of their head.). Junji covered and got two before Cherry kicked out.
Gemma Foster: Cherry able to power out at the last moment.
Junji made a tag to Fixit and the Kingsmen hit Cherry with a double suplex. Fixit rolled onto Cherry for a cover but got two before Carbine broke it up. Carbine and Junji went to their corners and stood on the apron. Fixit started to pull Cherry to his feet and sent him into the ropes and Cherry came back with the Baba Yaga Bullet (Running Flying Reverse Elbow to the Face)! Both men were down and Cherry started to crawl to his corner and was able to make a tag to Carbine. Carbine hit Fixit with a knee trembler and then knocked Junji off the apron. Carbine grabbed Fixit and slowly pulled him into position. Cherry tagged himself in and started to climb to the top as they wanted to hit the Last Picture Show (Piledriver [Carbine] / Double Stomp To The Soles Of The Feet [Cherry]). Before Cherry could jump, he was pushed off the top to the floor by Junji! Fixit kicked his legs and countered with a backdrop.
Scott Parker: The Kingsmen could be turning the tide here, Gemma.
Fixit started to direct traffic and Junji hit Cherry with a running kick to the chest from the apron. Fixit turned around and was rocked with a big Superman punch from someone NOT in the match as someone had jumped the barricade and the referee called for the bell.
Gemma Foster: The Kingsmen are going to win this match via disqualification.
Scott Parker: That’s Alejandro Torres! Two time BWF Tag Team Champion!
Torres adjusted his bandana as his partner Miquel Perez met Junji running towards the two and caught him with Green-Lighted (Jumping Complete Shot). Perez and Torres moved around the ring before Torres rolled out of the ring and Perez followed. Torres hit Cherry with CHIMUELO (Superman Punch [Translation: Toothless]). Perez hit Carbine with a running dropkick that sent him into the barricade.
Gemma Foster: The 323 taking out both teams here and sending a message!
Perez and Torres grabbed the Tag Team Titles from the timekeeper and held them up as they were getting a nice pop from the crowd. They held them up and tossed them to the referee before leaving. Carbine and Cherry coming together on the outside, angry at how they just lost. Junji and Fixit were in the ring and were angry about being attacked. Torres and Perez stood on the stage as we cut away.
Embrace the End
“You have no respect….”
The voice came from the shadows. She steps into a light shining directly overhead, silhouetted perfectly as wisps of foggy smoke dance around her. The obviously muscular woman tilts her head back, revealing the facial features of one Ursula Von Rossbach as she looks down upon the camera before her. She stands there as if an imposing fortress of a woman, the gloved fingers of her hands clenched into tight fists. The expression on her face could be considered a mixture of contempt and scorn.
UVR: ...Molly Hatchet, you stand upon the precipice of disaster, looking upon the instrument of your career’s demise. I am the apocalypse you have craved all your life, an end to the suffering at long last. From the day we first met all those years ago at the Boardwalk hall of Atlantic City, New Jersey to now, you have always thrown yourself into every battle with reckless abandon, caring little for your own safety.
She tilts her head slightly to the right.
UVR: Your every chance encounter with death has left the promise of an end unfulfilled. Yes, I know what drives you, young Ninja. It is not the glory, the gold, or pleasing the fans. It is a much more base desire to leave this mortal coil of misery behind you in a way that no one will ever forget your name. Yours is a death wish you seek to be fulfilled and now, you have pushed me to that very point, my dear.
Her head rolls forward and she steps closer into a full light source. The malice in her eyes becomes even more potent with the angled lighting causing a slight shimmering dance in those dark amber depths.
UVR: I shall waste no further words. The end is nigh, may you finally embrace it this night after I leave you a gibbering, destroyed mass of freckled and tattooed flesh in the middle of the Imperial Ring. Perhaps then, at long last, it shall finally be over.
She then steps out of frame and into the darkness, presumably making her way to ringside.
Scott Parker: This match was kind of last minute, Gemma. They were both looking for a match for this event and, with both having won the Primetime Title in the past at this event, it felt right.
Gemma Foster: And Casey Grey is NOT alone tonight, Scott. Karli Frost and Alicia Monroe are out with her. I don’t see Annabelle Daboia, however.
Casey and AJ circle each other for a moment before locking up in the center of the ring. AJ overpowers Casey and drives her back into the corner. As the referee counts, AJ offers a clean break. The sequence repeats, with Casey getting the upper hand this time, leading to a clean break from the corner from her. After a third lock up, AJ arm drags Casey over into an armbar. Casey manages to slowly drag herself to the ropes, where AJ is forced to break the hold. After a clean break from AJ, Casey rocks him with a hard right to the jaw. AJ responds in kind, knocking Casey to the mat where she rolls out of the ring. She regroups with the other members of Hell’s Belles for a moment, re-entering the ring slowly.
Gemma Foster: Casey getting a pep talk right now.
The match continues with Casey getting a headlock on Adams, who counters with an Irish whip and then a dropkick. After waiting for Casey to get back to her feet, AJ hits a lariat and sends her down again. He pulls her to her feet and gets in a vertical suplex. He then throws her to a corner, gets in a couple of chops, and then walks away, stopping halfway across the ring to charge at Casey for a corner splash. Casey stumbles to the center of the ring and AJ covers for a two count pin attempt. Again, Adams throws Casey into a corner. This time he seeks to follow it up with a running high knee, but Casey dodges out of the way. Adams gets tangled in the corner in a sort of Tree of Woe situation. Casey begins to capitalize on the situation with a series of kicks into AJ’s gut, but relents as the referee steps in to end her attack. She backs away as AJ manages to free himself, but she shoves past the referee and hits a sitout dropkick as AJ tries to get to his feet. Casey pulls AJ up and snapmares him out of the corner, moving into a facelock from behind. AJ looks to be collecting himself, and then begins fighting to his feet. Once up, he elbows Casey in the gut, but Casey hits a backstabber on AJ. Casey waits, catching her breath, and when AJ stands up she lands a Breath Mint (forearm smash). Casey follows with a pin attempt, getting a two count.
Scott Parker: Still fight left in AJ Agams.
Casey looks frustrated but doesn’t get distracted. She goes for what looks like a piledriver, but AJ fights out and reverses it into a backdrop. AJ rolls out of the ring to take a breather of his own, right next to Alicia Monroe and Karli Frost. The two notice him but he backs away without event. Alicia and Karli seem to be in deep conversation and looking around like they may have lost something. Casey follows AJ out of the ring and the two brawl on the floor. Both of them are catching hell from each other until AJ throws Casey into a ring post and climbs back into the ring. Alicia and Karli move to help Casey to her feet, and Casey makes it back into the ring at a count of seven.
Gemma Foster: That was getting close!
AJ begins stomping on Casey as she gets into the ring. After getting in several stomps he lifts Casey into the Rough Landing (Blackheart Buster). He then immediately goes for a GTS, which leaves Casey unmoving in the center of the ring. AJ goes for the cover but the referee has begun to argue with Karli Frost, who has climbed up onto the apron and is apparently mortified that AJ had the nerve to use a GTS on Casey. Alicia pounds on the mat to try to get Casey to her feet as AJ joins the referee in an attempt to convince Karli that this is indeed a wrestling match and the move is totally legal.
Scott Parker: All of Hell’s Belles getting involved here tonight and the fans are letting them hear it.
The fans are booing as the referee is distracted. Adams backs off, dismissing Karli with a wave of his hand. Casey begins to show signs of life, but it doesn’t seem to matter as Adams sets her up for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Karli grabs the referee by the shirt and really starts to let him have it about how the GTS should be illegal. Annabelle Daboia climbs out from under the ring on the far side, slides under the bottom rope, and grabs AJ for the Spinal Tap (“Break a Bitch”). She slides back out of the ring, disappearing under the ring again as Karli releases the referee and hops off the apron. Casey has gotten back to her feet and hits the Racklash on Adams. Annabelle joins the other Belles on the other side of the ring as the referee counts the three-count win for Casey.
Scott Parker: Hell’s Belles is going to help Casey Grey steal a win here tonight.
The group stood over AJ Adams as he was out in the ring. They all had their hands raised and smiled as we cut away.
Not Extreme
The cameras jump backstage in front of the Next Level: Ascension logo where Kevin Olsen stands at the ready with a microphone. Beside him, Riley Rouse stands ready for an interview but something on their face says they’re not quite ready-ready.
Kevin Olsen: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Kevin Olsen here. We hope you’ve been enjoying the show, so far! We’re coming up, very soon, on our match up for the Extreme Championship and I’m standing here with the Number One Contender for that title, “Rockabilly” Riley Rouse! They’ll be stepping into the ring wi--
Before Kevin can finish what he’s saying, something out of frame catches his eyes and he goes silent. The man’s demeanor seems to shrink as Extreme Champion, Tia Santos - the Saint of Killers, steps into the shot. Fully dressed in her gear, bandana around her face, title over her shoulder, Tia slowly, calmly, but surely invades Kevin Olsen’s personal space in the interview spot. She essentially forces him into the background as she turns towards her taller opponent. There’s no fear in her eyes, however, as she looks Riley Rouse over. There’s only coldness in them. A lack of any positive emotion. We don’t need to see the rest of her face under that black skull bandana to know that she is scowling at the Rebel Without A Pause Button.
Tia Santos: ¿Cuál es el problema? ¿No estás emocionado por lo que se acerca? ¿No estás listo para derramar sangre? ¿Sacar sangre?
She stands there, head tilted to the side as she looks Riley over, her eyes sweeping over her opponent; sizing them up.
Riley is dressed in their ring gear, gray tank top with a yellow logo on it. Something Sci Fi related, knowing Riley. The commonwealth of planets probably, and brightly colored pants tights tucked into yellow boots with dark black laces. Dude’s like a very chill bumble bee, and currently they’re rocking back and forth on their heels looking Tia over. After a beat, a shrug, Riley assuming Tia understand’s English, as she has no interpreter with her.
Riley: Uuuhh. Not really, nice bandanna good social responsibility. Gonna be honest here, I didn’t ask for this match, the higher ups were just like “Yo, you wanna come back? We got plans, don’t worry about it, you’ll like our plans, man.” I do not like their plans, man….Eeerr. Lady.
Tia’s brow furrows at Riley’s little quips. She continues to look them over, stepping forward then so that she practically bows right up on her opponent. In fact, she gets right up chest to chest with Riley, tilting her head upwards and staring up into their eyes.
Tia Santos: Algunas personas pueden pensar que eres gracioso. Yo no. Si no quieres estar dentro de un ring conmigo, ¿Por qué estás perdiendo el tiempo?
She pulls the Extreme Title off of her shoulder and brings it up beside her face so that Riley can get a good look at it. Her own gaze lingers on it for a moment before shifting back over to them
Tia Santos: Este cinturón es para los verdaderos guerreros de Empire Wrestling. No tiene cabida en manos de bufones y cobardes. ¡Míralo!
She pushes the belt forward, practically shoving it in Riley’s face.
Tia Santos: Dime; que tipo de competidor eres Eres un guerrero? ¿O es el miedo lo que te motiva?
She just stands there, holding the title up in Riley’s face and waits for an answer.
Riley takes a polite step back and gives another lopsided shrug. They reach out with a finger and push the belt back slightly. Entirely unphased by all of Tia’s taunting, though they look at the belt for a moment and nod approvingly.
Riley: It’s a pretty belt, my sis does good work. Obsessive artistic gremlin that she is. I’ll give you that, I think you missed the part though where I didn’t choose this, I didn’t exactly sign up for this. More like, I WAS signed up, without being told what I was signing onto to. See, pretty as it is, I’m not really grooved onto the idea of having a belt that you need bonce people with objects to obtain and keep.
Riley Rouse rocks again on their feet, watching Tia with a curious tilt to their head, remaining that ever pleasantly calm, jovial smile on that face.
Riley: Don’t get me Tiffany Twisted there Tia, if that’s your jam, it’s your jam and you’re quite good at it I’m told. Look, I got a family, young kids and a wife who REALLY doesn’t want me to get hurt and no offense, she’s scarier than you to me. Like, I don’t wanna sleep in the garage cause the wife ain’t happy as the marriage cliche goes. So I got a proposal, I don’t wanna do this, I mean, I don’t want that belt...No offense...And You DON’T need to particularly work very hard tonight. Save your strength for better things, you know? Catch my drift?
Tia’s head...tilts again. Slowly, it tilts to the other side as she lowers the championship back onto her shoulder. There’s a brief pause before Tia just...laughs. Not a terribly boisterous laugh. More like a humored chuckle as she breaks gazes with Riley and shakes her head. When she lifts her attention back to Riley she goes cold again.
Tia Santos: Veo. Ahí es donde tú y yo somos diferentes. Admite que responden a las almas mortales que reclaman poder sobre los demás.
Tia steps back, putting more distance between herself and Riley, placing a hand against her chest.
Tia Santos: Veo ....
Tia extends her fist out towards Riley, thumb extended out to the side much like a Roman Caesar waiting to give the Live or Die signal in the Coliseum. Her thumb never actually turns up or down. It just stays level before her arm just drops.
Tia Santos: Te veré más tarde, Riley….
Riley gives a slight nod, and another shrug.
Riley: Yes, cause listening to my wife is a bad thing. Unmarried people, yo. Alrighty, anyway, that was that.
Riley walks off whistling, hands in their pockets.
Family Prodigy
The arena lights fade as the dark, synth intro to “Awakening” by Unleash the Archers starts up. Red spotlights start passing over the crowd when the guitars and drums kick in. They wander all around the arena as the song continues to play and build.
When the first vocal note hits a white spotlight lights up the entrance as “Favored of the Goddess” Lana Corvin struts out from the back. She stands there looking out arrogantly over the crowd. The ones who know who she is, show their hate to her, whether it's for her or just her family you can’t be sure.
She starts to strut her way towards the ring as the lights raise and the song continues. She talks some smack with some of the more vocal and heckling members of the crowd. She returns all of their verbal jabs as only one of the Corvins can.
“To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed
To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same
This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace
A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way
Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end
Far out beyond the darkness, I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits”
She climbs the ring steps and then into the ring. She circles around out glaring out at the crowd and talking more trash. She then runs to one set up the ropes and stands on them raising an arm high.
“Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die!”
She jumps down and paces around the ring. She finally gets a mic from the ring crew.
Lana Corvin: It would seem some of you already know me. For those of you who don’t, first off go get yourself checked. You might have some mental deficiencies. Secondly, I am Lana Corvin. The daughter of Ashe and Felice Corvin. I know at least one of you in the back knows who my dad is.
Lana paced back and forth across the ring.
Lana Corvin: He was put into a Hall of Fame. He set records with multiple different titles in multiple different companies. He’s held just about every type of title imaginable. He is one of the greatest tag-team wrestlers to ever step foot into a ring. My mother was a world champion. My Uncle was a world champion and a deathmatch icon! My brother’s first, and only, title he ever won was a world title.
She lowers the mic and looks into the camera. She smirks before continuing.
Lana Corvin: All four have helped train me. I’ve been working at this since I was fifteen. I didn’t plan on debuting until next year. But when companies coming knocking, at just the mention of your last name, you change plans. So here I am. In Empire Wrestling. The next great Corvin to step into a ring. And just like my dad, remember that when I’m winning and on the top…
Lana looks into the camera again and gives a little wink.
Lana Corvin: It ain’t luck.
She drops the mic as “Awakening” by Unleashed the Archers starts up. The crowd hits her with a surprisingly mixed reaction this time. She poses in the center of the ring for a moment, allowing for photos. She then exits the ring and heads backstage.
Scott Parker: What a huge signing for Empire Wrestling, Gemma! Lana Corvin has wrestling in her blood and is a major addition to the roster.
There was a table set up on each side of the ring as we were set for our next bout. The fans booed as AJ Jenkynx came out to the stage and quickly made his way to the ring. He took one of the tables and took it down only to slide it into the ring and quickly started to set it up.
Gemma Foster: This one is definitely personal, Scott. AJ and Gio REALLY do not like each other and have gone back and forth in wins, including screwing the other out of wins in other matches.
Scott Parker: This is the biggest match in their Empire Wrestling careers.
"I'm Bout It" by Troy Ave started to play and out stepped Gio DeLuca. No microphone in hand, only a clear desire to fight on his face. DeLuca charged the ring and slid under the ropes and jumped to his feet. He ducked a clothesline from Jenkynx and ran the ropes and was hit with a spinning heel kick on his return trip. DeLuca rolled to his feet and Jenkynx tried to suplex him onto the table he had set up but Gio blocked it. DeLuca countered into a swinging neckbreaker and then got back to his feet. Jenkynx started to get back up and was quickly taken down with a slingblade. Gio was fired up and got some support from the fans with a round of cheers.
Gemma Foster: Gio DeLuca is fired up!
DeLuca climbed to the second rope as Jenkynx got to his feet. DeLuca looked for his Bite Your Tongue (Jumps off 2nd rope to DDT) but Jenkynx countered into a spinebuster. Both men got up to their feet and Jenkynx threw DeLuca up and over the top rope and he landed on the apron with a table just a couple feet behind him. Jenkynx hammered DeLuca with a right hand but DeLuca held onto the top rope. Jenkynx ran the ropes and looked for a spear but DeLuca moved and kicked AJ in the head. DeLuca pulled Jenkynx out to the apron and tried to suplex him but AJ blocked it. Jenkynx pushed DeLuca away and then pulled him in for a powerbomb.
Scott Parker: AJ looking to powerbomb Gio through the table!
DeLuca countered into a hurricanrana that sent them both back into the ring over the top rope. DeLuca hammered Jenkynx with stomps and a knee to the chest. He started to pull Jenkynx to his feet and set up for a powerbomb of his own. DeLuca lifted Jenkynx up but Jenkynx hammered Gio with right hands and flipped backwards and landed on his feet. Jenkynx hit a Samoan drop but just missed the table. Jenkynx pulled DeLuca up and placed him on the table before starting to climb to the top turnbuckle nearby. Jenkynx readied himself and looked for a diving headbutt and went crashing through the table as DeLuca moved out of the way!
Gemma Foster: This match is still going on. You have to physically put your opponent through a table.
DeLuca pulled Jenkynx out of the rubble and tossed him through the ropes. DeLuca followed suit and pulled Jenkynx up again and placed him on one of the tables on the outside before jumping to the apron. DeLuca climbed to the top rope and dove with a frog splash and this time Jenkynx rolled off the table!
Scott Parker: And now Gio crashes and burns through a table!
Jenkynx crawled over to the apron and used it to pull himself up. DeLuca was out cold as he was pulled away from the broken table. Jenkynx pulled DeLuca into position and lifted him for a powerbomb before walking him around the ring to the next table and slammed him through!
Scott Parker: AJ Jnekynx just pulled off a win here at Next Level: Ascension against his rival Gio DeLuca.
AJ Jenkynx fell backwards and leaned against the apron on the outside and laughed as the referee checked on DeLuca.
Unkillable
We cut to a stairwell somewhere backstage in the Arena where we find one Molly Hatchet seated at the very middle with her legs splayed in a very relaxed pose, one bent in while the other is out. She rests her elbow upon the bent knee, her hand upon the opposing thigh. The Ginger Ninja is dressed in her black and green ring gear and hooded vest, her fists taped. Her head is lowered, face framed by coppery-red hair. The look on her face as she stares down at her hands says it all. Molly is actually afraid.
Molly: Aye, I know, begged fer this I did. Badgered her to no end until finally she gave me what I wanted, but only once I got it did it dawn on me what I was courtin, yeah. Regardless of any regrets I have, now is not the time to be hanging on them. This match could very well be the finale of my career and even life. Ursula Von Rossbach is the Holy Grail to me King Arthur, the Moby Dick to me Cap’n Ahab… The unattainable goal that I still strive for!
Her head lifts and she looks the camera right in it’s oculus.
Molly: She’s also the most dangerous competitor I have ever faced and this is coming from someone who has faced axe murderers, been in the ring with electric ropes and high explosive charges, and through the meat grinder of professional wrestling that is the Japanese Death match scene. I’ve gone through hell and come out the other end stronger but everytime I’ve faced The Lady Terminator, she always had the answer to me question.
She pulls from her pocket a small length of chain and slowly wraps it around her fingers as she talks.
Molly: However, she picked a match where creativity be rewarded above all else. You’re grand at manipulating the body with yer hands in ways that are unnatural and effective, but where I’m talented in tha’ ring when it comes to similar practices, where I truly excel is when given no rules, no limits, and everythin’ Hell could e’er want in an improvised sadistic torture chamber. You may’ve had a hand in it, but me teacher, Rory Fitzpatrick and Japan are what made me into tha’ woman I am today.
The Ginger Ninja pushes herself up to her feet, hooking her thumbs in the belt loops of her wrestling pants.
Molly: Heaven help me and Hell give me inspiration, fer I enter that ring with tha’ same goal I’ve had fer a decade. Beat you at any cost and-or survive ta’ see another sunrise as a professional wrestler. Ye’ll beat me! Ye’ll batter me!
She slams that chain wrapped fist into her palm with a weighty smack of metal against flesh.
Molly: But ye’ll ne’er end me, Ursula. Puff yer chest up, call yerself tha’ Vanguard of me destruction, tha’ inevitable, or whatever fifty thousan’ other ways to call yourself the end of e’erything. You’re the Apocalypse but I’m fawkin’ Molly Hatchet, Tha’ Ginger Ninja, and The Apocalypse of the Apocalypse! The meteor that rains down only to collide with the meteor that could’ve killed all humanity long before it e’er reaches Earth! I am the hottest sun come out to end the bloody fawkin’ Ice Age that is Ursula Von Rossbach! Kill me if you can, lass, but you can’t kill me…. I BLOODY WILL NOT DIE!!!
She then flips over the stair railing to the opening between the old style stairwell. The camera follows, looking over the railing to see that she seems to have vanished out of thin air! We cut back to ringside!
The fans came to life with Riley Rouse making their return to the ring as they jogged out to the stage. Rouse moved to the center of the stage and threw up some “rock and roll” fists with a big bang of pyro.
Gemma Foster: Riley making a big return here tonight and is getting their first singles title opportunity here in Empire Wrestling.
Rouse pointed out to the fans and gave them a big wave as they entered the ring. The fans gave a mixed reaction as “De Donde Salí” by Leymy started to play and out came the Extreme Champion Tia Santos. Santos wore her handkerchief over her face and looked down to the ring. She removed the title from her waist and showed it off to the crowd and Rouse.
Scott Parker: I know Riley is tough but this is going to be one of the toughest matches they’ve been in. Tia Santos is one of the best up and coming stars here in Empire Wrestling.
Santos climbed to the top rope before entering the ring and placed the title on her shoulder before jumping down. The match was announced and Santos showed off the title once again before handing it off.
Gemma Foster: This is going to be interesting because Riley doesn’t fall under the category of “extreme” per say. In fact, they dislike using weapons and things of the like but couldn’t turn down this opportunity.
The two competitors locked up and struggled to gain the upperhand. Santos tripped Rouse up with a drop toe hold and tried to lock in a STF but Rouse was able to break free by throwing an elbow back at Santos. Both got to their feet and Rouse connected with a forearm smash to the face and then a back elbow to the head. Rouse looked for a spear but ran into a kick from Santos. Santos sent Rouse into the corner and quickly followed with a cartwheel body splash! Santos then grabbed Rouse and connected with a running bulldog into the splits. Santos rolled Rouse into a cover and Rouse kicked out just before two. Santos pulled Rouse up and sent them into the corner once again. Santos charged but this time was lifted up and over the top rope to the apron. Santos grabbed Rouse by the hair but got hit with an elbow to the head. Rouse hit Santos with a rope hung stunner and Santos fell to the floor on the outside. Rouse climbed to the top rope and dove at Santos and took her out with a big crossbody as the fans cheered.
Scott Parker: Rouse isn’t afraid to put it all on the line!
Rouse got to their feet and pulled Santos up and Santos speared them into the barricade. Santos grabbed Rouse and hit a reverse Russian leg sweep onto her knee. Santos went under the ring and pulled out a chair and set it up. Santos ran and jumped off the chair and looked for a hurricanrana but Rouse countered and powerbombed Santos onto the apron. Santos grabbed at her back and Rouse charged and ran into a boot to the face. Santos grabbed the chair and tossed it into the ring before grabbing a second one and tossing it in as well. Rouse climbed back into the ring and crawled right to a chair. Santos climbed into the ring and noticed and Rouse slid the chair out of the ring.
Gemma Foster: Riley could’ve just taken Tia with that chair and slid it out of the ring instead!
Santos charged and Rouse took her down with Gotcha! (Lou Thesz Press). They both climbed to their feet and Rouse set Santos up before nailing the Dodecahedron (SOS) and a pin attempt got two before Santos kicked out. Rouse moved away as Santos popped up into a spider crawl.
Scott Parker: That’s unnerving!
This allowed Santos to deliver the combo she calls the Danze de la Araña ([Dance of the Spider]
Tia performs the spider walk to throw off her opponent. She then thrust her body up and strikes them with a handstand pele like kick to the head. She immediately follows up with a mule kick and rolls forward. As the opponent falls back on their butt, Tia comes running in with a basement dropkick). Santos grabbed the other chair in the ring and put it on the chest of Rouse and hit a standing double stomp! Santos covered and picked up a two count before Rouse kicked out. Santos took her time getting to her feet and Rouse was up not long after. Rouse connected with a kick to the gut before taking Santos down with a Sonic Screwdriver (Spinning Neck Breaker). Rouse used the opening to start to climb to the top rope and ready themselves. Rouse flipped for a moonsault and connected! Rouse hooked a leg for a cover and got a two count before Santos kicked out.
Scott Parker: Tia will not stay down!
Santos rolled out of the ring and got a moment to breathe before Rouse went after her. Santos caught Rouse with a jawbreaker and then a hard chop to the chest. Santos quickly pulled Rouse in and dropped them to the floor with a DDT. Santos went under the ring and pulled out a kendo stick and cracked it on the back of Rouse. Rouse grabbed their back and crawled away and went towards the ring. They rolled in and Santos went after them. Santos was in the ring and cracked a second shot onto Rouse. She looked for a third but Rouse was able to catch the kendo stick against their body and flipped Santos over with a hip toss. Rouse had the kendo stick and Santos was up.
Gemma Foster: Do it, Riley!
Riley thought about it for a moment before tossing the kendo stick out of the ring. Rouse looked for the Bored Now! (Trouble in Paradise) but Santos ducked it. Rouse spun around, disoriented, and Santos grabbed them and connected with Beso de Muerte ([Kiss of Death] Tia wraps an arm around the opponent’s neck and bends them back (think Bray Wyatt’s Sister Abigail). She places a kiss on the forehead of her opponent before transitioning her arm around the back of their neck and performs a Dream DDT). Santos covered and picked up the three count win!
Scott Parker: And Tia Santos’ reign continues.
Gemma Foster: Riley had Tia dead to rights with that kendo stick and chose not to use it.
Santos sat up and leaned onto the ropes as she was handed the Extreme Title. Santos took a few moments to celebrate as Rouse started to get up. Santos gave them a half nod before rolling out of the ring and made it to the stage and held up the title. Rouse sat in disappointment as we cut away.
Honor the past… Embrace the future.
Watching
We come back from the break to the backstage area where we see Lacy Nelson walking around chatting with people walking by. She sits herself on a big crate and waves at someone nearby.
Gemma Foster: I got a second to chat with Lacy before the show and she said that it’s sort of fitting that she’s actually not on the card as it was at this event last year that she sprained her ankle backstage and couldn’t compete. Sort of like she and this event just clash.
Lacy looked around as the area started to clear as she jumped up. There was a loud bang not too far from her and she jumped a little.
Scott Parker: It was last week where Lacy was locked in her locker room and someone set off a smoke bomb so she’s a little on edge.
She looks over at the cameraman and gives him a shrug before the loud bang is heard again. It sounds like steel hitting steel and Lacy goes looking for the noise. They turn the corner and see one of the big garage doors banged up as if someone took a hammer to it. From behind it sounds as if something is dropped and clangs around. Lacy stops and looks at the wall as the camera comes around to show, written in red, “At illa venit.”
Gemma Foster: Scott, it’s clear someone is targeting Lacy.
She turns to the camera and walks away quickly as we go back ringside for the next match.
Gemma Foster: This is a big match for Marilyn. She’s going one on one with one of the most dominant superstars in Empire Wrestling history.
Marilyn Lee Cross got a nice pop from the fans as she made her way out from behind the curtain. She made her way down the ramp as she tossed her hair.
Scott Parker: She’s looking for a big upset here tonight to capture the Primetime Title.
Cross jumped to the second rope and posed as the fans gave her a cheer. The lights went out for a moment and turned red as the fans booed. “Square Hammer” by Ghost kicked up as the Primetime Champion, Daniel Daemon, made his way out to the stage. He stood at the top of the ramp and held his hands behind his back. The Primetime Title sat around his waist as he soaked in the boos. He started to journey to the ring, slowly.
Gemma Foster: The champion makes his walk to the ring and is ready as always.
Daemon climbed into the ring and removed his title and held it up high above his head. Cross kept her eyes locked on Daemon as he moved around the ring. He handed the title off as the lights returned to normal. Daemon readied himself as the bell rang. Cross came quick at Daemon with a palm strike and the Hand of God (Spinning Backfist). Cross jumped up with a Superman forearm. Daemon staggered but didn’t fall and came back with a big boot that dropped Cross. Cross rolled to her feet and came back with another palm strike and connected with the Mary Go Round (Discus Big Boot). Daemon fell into the corner and Cross measured him up. She charged and caught him with a big corner clothesline and then a quick uppercut.
Scott Parker: Cross using her speed to try and keep the attack on Daemon.
Gemma Foster: If Daemon can’t strike then he can’t attack.
Cross looked for a bulldog out of the corner but Daemon countered into a belly to back suplex. They both were up to their feet and Daemon landed a big throat strike and a headbutt. Daemon lifted Cross up and tossed her into the corner. He charged but she moved out of the way. Daemon hit hard and came out of the corner and Cross connected with a dropkick to the knee to bring him down to one. This gave Cross the opening she wanted as she hit the ropes and looked for Knee Harvey Oswald (Running Knee to the side of an opponent's head). Daemon had it scouted and ducked it before standing. Cross turned and Daemon grabbed her by the throat and he connected with a chokeslam. Daemon roared before pulling Cross back up and tossing her into the corner. Daemon charged and connected with corner splash and the tossed Cross across the ring.
Scott Parker: Daemon looking to send a message to Cross.
Gemma Foster: And the entire EW roster.
Daemon pulled Cross up to her feet and looked her in the eyes before lifting her up with the Power of Asmodeus (Delayed vertical suplex). Daemon rolled onto Cross for a cover and got a two count before she was able to kick out. Daemon lifted Cross up with ease but Cross hit him with a forearm. Cross was able to hit another forearm to get a moment to breath. Daemon looked for the Inquisition (POWERFUL running lariat) but she ducked it. Cross connected with a basement superkick to get Daemon to a knee. Cross flipped over Daemon and connected with a blockbuster! Cross measured up Daemon as he started to stand and she connected with Knee Harvey Oswald! Cross rolled Daemon over and covered and he kicked out at two. Cross fixed her knee brace and made sure her boot was ready.
Gemma Foster: I think Cross is looking for John Wilkes Boot!
Daemon started to stand and Cross charged but she ran into the Inquisition! Cross dropped hard to the mat as Daemon grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the mat. Daemon lifted Cross and connected with the Twist of Cain II (Vertical Suplex Piledriver). He covered and picked up the three count victory.
Scott Parker: Daniel Daemon once again walking out with the Primetime Title.
Daemon was handed the championship as he started to stand and moved to the ropes. He climbed out to the apron as he held up the title.
Building an Empire
FM Young sat upon a throne built of rough hewn wood and Spartan spears, with tiger skin coverings on a marble dias raised off the floor. She’s dressed in Spartan style red and gold, heavy chains along her forearms, the typical warrior skirt and gilded chest piece. It includes the thin gold crown on top of her head. Beside her are hooded ladies, who might very well be Lacy Nelson and Morgan Payne, also dressed in midriff baring red and gold attires, skirts with leather wrapped forearms and legs, leather bodices. All the trappings of something you might see in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or God of War, it looks just as grand too. Meg and Morgan are holding FM’s Championship belts on their shoulders, the Empire World Championship, the OATH Intrepid Championship, even the old versions of the Empire Heavyweight Championship.
FM: I'm building an empire, I'm building it with all I know...I'm building an empire. Starting from scratch it began with stones...I'm building an empire. I'm building with my body and soul. I'm building an empire. So little time and so much to do. I must say this is as good as it gets...So why are you wasting your blood, your sweat, your tears...Ooooo ooooo empire.
FM has a slow small smile spreading across her face, as she singsong’s out the lyrics, finishing with taking a breath and letting the gentle melody playing die off in the background.
FM: I know, when I won, I said there were no gods, monsters, kings, emperors...Ect. Ect. I don’t think this...Staging of mine is going back on that. Historically, the leaders were often the best warriors, I think that’s what I am. The best Warrior. I am, have been called...But am embracing. The Heart and Soul of Empire Wrestling, it is my home and I will ALWAYS carry it. I think that’s one of the things history can teach us, history is after all important. That’s one of the biggest differences between Benny and me. The Tomorrow Man. Bright, shiny, soulless future. Mr. Buttoned up and buttoned down, with his flashy shades and three piece suits. All constrained, and uniform, there’s not a lot of room for growth in that.
FM leaned back, waving over to Lacy and getting handed her custom Empire World Championship.
FM: Let me shift topics for a moment, why did I build a custom title belt? Seems as if I’m not honoring Empire’s past, doesn’t it? Well, as you can see I also took the Heavyweight Championship from Benny. See, the white title meant a lot to Lacy, I wouldn’t want to infringe my spirit on someone else’s belt. So I forged my own, as not to erase Lacy’s Legacy.
Lacy grinned and blushed, ducking her head to the camera.
FM: That being covered, back to Benny. He thinks of himself, relentlessly as the future, and sure he’s been on a MONSTER streak, but streaks end. It’s a losing game we’re all playing. Benny boy expects to just run me over, and if I lose? It’s not a bad death, being run over by Ben McBeth. I don’t intend to lose, Benny’s been trying to get my goat all month, pretending I didn’t matter to his equation. He’s just going to come in and do this, when I have all the motivation behind me. Bringing him down, will be kicking the Romans out of Rome, it’s throwing Zeus off Mount Olympus. I can do that, Empire’s need to be supported from the ground up. They need to be honored and when you’re gazing off into the Horizon you can’t do that properly. I didn’t get this far to fail, I didn’t climb this far to allow Benny’s ambition to kill my home off.
FM stretched and patted her title belt, then leaned forward with a smirk on her face.
FM: Tonight, Benny’s going to realize he’s picked the exactly wrong time to challenge for the Championship, he’s picked the very worst moment in history to do this. Because a very hungry tiger stands in his way. When I came back, Empire grew and expanded in a way it HADN’T under Daniel Daemon, when I came back, I said I was going to do better as a Champion, god's honest I’ve missed a couple of obligations, but I’m working. I’m here, I’ve shown up and done my job. After I beat Benny? The open challenge goes back on, and I will hold firm, helping my friends, building my home. I refuse to be ground down by the “Uncrowned Champion.” I am the heart and soul of Empire, and I will do what I’ve always done. I will endure.
The melody starts to play again, soft but building piano accompanies acoustic guitar. The lyrics lead in as the camera fades out.
I'm building an empire
I'm building with the stars in mind
I'm building an empire
That's one day gonna scrape the sky
I'm building an empire
That's led by my heart to know my home
I'm building an empire
And now I'm never gonna look back
I must say this is as good as it gets
So why you wasting your blood your sweat your tears
Ooooo ooooo empire
Oooooo oooooo build it higher
Scott Parker: Huge news there, Gemma! The long standing BWF Pay Per View, Tainted Twilight, is coming to Empire Wrestling!
Gemma Foster: One night before Halloween too!
"HEAR ME NOWWWWW!!!!" echoed in the Warehouse as the fans came to their feet for the next match. They were treated to Ursula Von Rossbach making her way out.
Scott Parker: This one should be special. The first ever deathmatch inside the EW Warehouse!
Von Rossbach stomped her way down to the ring and she moved around before climbing inside. The padding of the mat had been removed and was completely exposed to the wood. Two corners were wrapped with barbed wire.
Gemma Foster: These two ladies are going to tear into each other.
There were some louder cheers as Molly Hatchet skipped out to the stage. She pointed out to the fans and had a smile that quickly turned serious when she looked down to the ring. She and Von Rossbach locked eyes and she started to hype herself up. She walked to the ring as the fans cheered on.
Scott Parker: Here we go!
Hatchet was in the ring ready to go as Von Rossbach stood in one spot. Hatchet got in her face and the two just stared at each other. Tension built and Von Rossbach offered Hatchet the first shot and Hatchet wound up and clocked her once. Von Rossbach came right at her with a big kick to the chest that sent her flying backwards. Hatchet got up and dusted herself off and put her fists up. Hatchet charged and ducked under a lariat and turned around and kicked Von Rossbach in the back of the leg. Von Rossbach turned around and Hatchet hit her with the Glasgow Kiss (Jumping Headbutt). Hatchet sent Von Rossbach into the corner with the barbed wire and she got tangled up as the fans “ooh’ed”.
Gemma Foster: Ouch!
Von Rossbach’s arms were a little cut up as she used them to brace herself. She turned around and Hatchet caught her with a pump kick that sent her back into the barbed wire. Von Rossbach roared and kicked her in the chest again before scoop slamming her onto the exposed wood. Hatchet grabbed her back and rolled out of the ring to the floor. Von Rossbach climbed through the ropes and jumped down. Hatchet met Von Rossbach with a kick to the gut but Ursula dropped her with a clothesline. Hatchet rolled up to her feet but was grabbed and slammed onto the floor with a Uranage Slam. Von Rossbach started to look under the ropes and pulled out a long box. She started to open it and pulled out 6 long tube light bulbs. She quickly pulled out a second box and unloaded 6 more and piled them onto each other. Hatchet was up and moved around the opposite side of the ring. Hatchet quickly grabbed a steel chair within reach and folded it up. Von Rossbach met her and Molly hit her with a shot to the gut with the chair, then one to the back.
Gemma Foster: This one is quickly getting ugly.
Hatchet jumped up and connected with the Whiskey Bomb (Superwoman Punch). Von Rossbach staggered but came right back at Hatchet and scooped her up and slammed her onto the floor. Hatchet grabbed at her back again and got to her feet. Von Rossbach hit her with a big Great Slam! She covered and the referee counted two before Hatchet kicked out. Molly pushed Von Rossbach away as she started to stand and Ursula lifted her and slammed her into the barricade. Hatchet locked in a front facelock and locked in a choke! Hatchet squeezed and was able to get Von Rossbach to a knee and wouldn’t let go. After a few moments, Ursula lifted Hatchet and delivered a suplex onto the lightbulbs!
Scott Parker: Oh my god!
Hatchet rolled out of the wreckage in pain and crawled away as Von Rossbach went after her. Von Rossbach lifted Hatchet up and tossed her into the ring through the bottom and middle rope. She started to climb back into the ring and Hatchet used the ropes to help herself up. Von Rossback looked for the Great Slam (Michinoku Driver) but Hatchet countered with a DDT onto the wood! Hatchet rolled out of the ring and grabbed a chair and tossed it into the ring, then a second, and third, fourth, and carried a fifth in with her. She set up four of the chairs up to make a little bed two by two as she intermittently hit Von Rossbach with a chair.
Gemma Foster: Using these weapons is a great way to keep Ursula down. You have to hammer her down and keep her down the best you can.
Von Rossbach got to her feet and as Hatchet swung a chair hit her with DENIED (Headbutting a Steel Chair out of her opponent's hands and without missing a beat, often hitting a big boot style front kick straight in her foe's face). Von Rossbach pulled Hatchet up and quickly lifted her up and dropped her through the chairs with a Sambo Chokeslam! Von Rossbach dropped onto Hatchet and got a two count as Hatchet somehow kicked out.
Scott Parker: I can’t believe it!
Von Rossbach looked around wondering what else she needed to do and pulled Hatchet out of the mess of chairs and pulled her up and tossed her around the ring. Digging deep, Hatchet speared Von Rossbach into the barbed wire corner! Hatchet hit the ropes with a springboard and hit the Ginger Ninja Death Drop (720 Satellite DDT)! She dove onto Von Rossbach with a cover and Ursula kicked out at two!
Gemma Foster: How do you keep Ursula down!?
The fans were on their feet for the two competitors. They both slowly got back up to their feet and slowly exchanged lefts and rights. Von Rossbach dodged one of the blows and started to lock Hatchet into a full nelson!
Scott Parker: Molly is fighting that full nelson. Ursula can’t get it quite locked in!
Hatchet ran to the corner and pushed off it and sent Von Rossbach back first onto the wood and flipped over her for a pin, getting two before Ursula kicked out. Hatchet quickly jumped up and hit the Whiskey Bomb! Von Rossbach got right up and took another Whiskey Bomb! She stood once again and Hatchet somehow powered Ursula up with the Ginger Snap (German Suplex) onto the pile of chairs! Hatchet looked down at Von Rossbach and grabbed a chair and started to pull off the barbed wire from one of the corners and wrapped it around the chair.
Gemma Foster: What is Molly doing!?
Hatchet put the barbed wire wrapped chair onto the chest and face area of Von Rossbach and climbed to the top rope. She readied and dove, hitting the Molly Bomber (Diving Cannonball Swanton Bomb)! Molly moved around in pain and rolled Ursula over for a cover and picked up the win!
Scott Parker: Molly Hatchet just slayed the Terminator!
Hatchet slowly pulled herself across the ring as trainers came out and checked on both competitors. The fans gave the two a big ovation as Molly rolled out of the ring and sat on the apron for a bit.
Gemma Foster: The monkey is finally off her back!
Hatchet smiled as she put her hand in the air in celebration and jumped down, making her way to the back.
1437
The Williamsburg Hotel in Greenpoint, New York. We are not far from the site of Empire Wrestling’s Next Level: Ascension. The hotel roof, night. Benjamin Macbeth stands with his forearms resting on the railing and he looks out over the city. Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, black button down, and custom EMBLEM cufflinks.
Benjamin Macbeth: I am a man of multitudes. What I think today, I may not tomorrow. I listen, I assess, I grow. Any professional fighter worth their salt does the same. You need to grow to survive. On Friday it will have been 1,437 days since I have held the Empire Wrestling World Championship. In nearly fifteen hundred days I have learned a great deal -- not only about myself as a wrestler but myself as a person.
Having said all of that with his back to the camera, Macbeth turns and begins pacing around the patio. He has chosen solitude in the days and hours leading up to one of the biggest contests of his career.
Benjamin Macbeth: The Tomorrow Man. That was what I called myself when I first entered Empire Wrestling. I considered myself a warrior from the future. Not in any kind of dimestore science fiction way. I chose that name because I felt that I was ahead of the curve. And I was. Empire Wrestling became mine to conquer because there was no one on my level, no one could see what I saw. I was a fox among clucking chickens and they had no protection.
A small smile develops but quickly turns back into a more neutral expression. Dwelling on the past was never something that The Tomorrow Man indulged in. He was not about to start partaking now. This is more of a lesson for those who may not have been watching during the early parts of his career.
Benjamin Macbeth: The Parable. This was another name that I adopted because I also saw myself as a teacher. I did not come to Empire Wrestling to destroy it. I wanted to lift it up, I wanted to help this roster grow and evolve by defeating them. I wanted them to see their inadequacies and fix them, to better the brand. I did a great deal of teaching and the Empire Wrestling roster was made to either learn or fall to the wayside.
At this moment Macbeth’s cellphone began buzzing, he looked down at the face and smiled. Josh Cherry. He declined the call, not out of anger or malice but out of necessity. Macbeth needed to focus on his own goals.
Benjamin Macbeth: EMBLEM. I returned to Empire Wrestling to join my friends and training partners Midnight Special. It was time to seek out a new demonstration, something that I could mold and refurbish. The Verified Standard competed for the Primetime Championship and not only did I win it, but I brought it to a new level. As I am known to do. Class was still in session. I set a new record for the longest reign and then EMBLEM turned our attention toward the first ever Warfare Series. We won. Granted that was more Josh and Harvey’s win than anything, however, it would not have come to pass without me.
Macbeth took a seat on a nearby deck chair and folded his left leg over his right, he stared up at the New York night sky.
Benjamin Macbeth: 1,437 days. I am a different man. I am not a lesson, I am not focussed on what is on the horizon, and I am not looking to elevate -- I am staring down the barrel of my legacy. I am here to return to a position that belongs to me and me only. It has been said ad nauseum that I am undefeated but that will end -- someday. Iit will not be at Next Level: Ascension when I face FM Young for the Empire Wrestling World Championship. No. It can not end there and I will not let it.
Sitting up now, Macbeth looked deep into the camera lens. Not at the fans. Not at management. At his target.
Benjamin Macbeth: Many warriors say that they crave a good death. I am the same. No one in this company, no one since I arrived here in 2016 has been able to give me that. FM Young is a capable competitor, only a fool would think otherwise. She has held that championship twice, that is no meager feat. I know that she is dangerous. I am so very aware. But can she give me the good death that I crave? Will she be the first person to defeat me? I am not so sure that she can.
Macbeth strokes his chin in contemplation.
Benjamin Macbeth: I do not dislike FM but I do have an issue with her. I take issue with her being called the Heart and Soul of Empire Wrestling. Is that how she is seen by the masses? Curious. I suppose if she is the Heart and Soul -- then I am the Conscience of Empire Wrestling.
His expression changes now as he sits back just a little, half of his face shrouded in shadow.
Benjamin Macbeth: Since this company’s infancy I have been it’s teacher, it’s standard, it’s father. I have been the presence looming in the shadows, watching and judging. I am the sense of right in this company. I do not compete anywhere else, Empire is the only thing that matters to me in my professional career. I am the veil of competitive virtue when it comes to Empire. FM Young, you split your attention in so many directions that it makes one wonder if you even care about this company -- truly. You can not hope to defeat me without complete focus Ms. Young. It is simply impossible. You are not focussed, you are divided -- and that is why at the end of Next Level: Ascension I will once again be the Empire Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. I am a man of multitudes and I am bringing everything that I have learned to this match on Friday. I am bringing everything that I am and everything that I hope to be. I have to.
The Conscience sits further back now with his final words and he is completely enveloped by the shadows.
Benjamin Macbeth: Exurgo. Deepest condolences.
Fade to black.
Take the pledge
At illa venit.
“Come and Get It” by I Prevail started to play as we came back from break and the ring had been set back to normal for the final two matches as Lacy Nelson stepped out from the curtain in her street clothes. She adjust her hat that was sitting backwards and started moving to the ring quickly.
Scott Parker: An unscheduled in-ring appearance here from Lacy Nelson.
Gemma Foster: I think she’s spooked from what happened backstage.
Lacy tried to keep a smile on her face as she gave the fans a small pose, throwing her hand up and leaning over the top rope. She waved out to them as she came back down to the mat and moved around. She leaned through and asked for a microphone as her music quieted down. Lacy paced around the ring and took a deep breath.
Lacy Nelson: So I’m out here because I’m not going to sit around backstage and let someone lock me in a room and fill the room with smoke or drop a box on me or attack me from behind or anything like that. It’s clear that someone is out to get me so here I am. Come and get me!
She turned to the stage and put her arms out wide for a moment as nothing happened.
Lacy Nelson: I don’t know if this is some joke from Daemon or his Kingsmen. I don’t know if this is some other person who thinks that I wronged them over something. You can look through my Twitter and my DMs and see all the hate I get from people who think that I’m nothing but a liar and a cheat. That I haven’t fought my way to the top of this company to become one of the best competitors standing in this ring week in and week out. So whomever has an issue--
Static filled the speakers and the jumbotron as Lacy plugged her ears as the image on the screen slowly cleared up.
The lights went out as the static stopped and when they came back up a woman in facepaint was standing behind Lacy. Lacy turned around as the woman tilted her head.
Gemma Foster: Who is that!?
Lacy stood still as if she saw a ghost and took a kick to the gut and was lifted up and dropped with a fisherman’s brainbuster and then rolled right into a crossface submission! The woman rolled up quickly and hit Lacy with a curbstomp!
Scott Parker: Someone get out here to stop this!
The woman stood over Lacy before the lights went out and she was gone as soon as they came back up and trainers checked on Lacy.
Gemma Foster: I can’t believe what we just saw. Who in the hell was that woman?
We got a shot of Lacy being checked on as we cut away for a moment.
The referee stood in the ring with the National Title across his hands as the match was announced.
Scott Parker: Here we are. It’s time to crown the first ever Empire Wrestling National Champ.
Austin Scott made his way out to the ring first the mainly boos. Then out next was Meg Coleman to a round of cheers. She adjusted her gloves as she made her way down. Scott was standing in the ring and looked around as she entered. Out next was Noavrra to cheers of her own.
Gemma Foster: There’s some amazing young talent in this match here tonight. This really could be a career changing moment. The winner of this match will be defending this title every week on Hype.
Noavrra made her way to the ring and moved around to her music in excitement. Alicia Monroe came out next, alone, ready for the match.
Gemma Foster: Alicia asked the rest of Hell’s Belles to stay in the back for this match.
The final entrant was the “Chosen One” Hayley Halsey. She rolled her eyes as she looked down to the ring and took a moment before walking down the ramp. There were 5 ladders scattered around the outside, including one at the bottom of the ramp. The referee showed off the title before hanging it on the strap and it rose up.
Scott Parker: Remember the rules for this match. First a competitor must pick up a pinfall or submission to become eligible. Once they are eligible they must scale the ladder and retrieve the championship from above the ring.
The bell rang and everyone looked around the ring at each other. Halsey rolled out of the ring as Scott went at Coleman and Monroe and Noavrra met in the middle of the ring.
Scott Parker: Hayley letting everyone else attack each other, using her head to gain the advantage and stay fresh.
Noavrra had landed hard strikes on Monroe in the middle of the ring before hitting a big scoop slam. Monroe rolled to her feet and hit a discus lariat and climbed onto her with hard punches. Coleman was unloading with punches to Scott and had him backed into the corner. He came back with a stiff elbow that caught her in the head and then suplexed her hard into the turnbuckle. Monroe was up and turned right into Scott’s Straight Whiskey (Running lariat). He pulled Noavrra up to her feet and sent her into the corner. He charged but ran into the corner as she was able to get out of the way. She hit the ropes and came back with a corner splash that dropped him. She charged and hit him with the Stampede (3 Repeated running Meteora knee strikes to a cornered opponent). Noavrra was fired up and turned right into Halsey coming off the top rope with a hurricanrana!
Gemma Foster: Noavrra was building some steam and Hayley just came out of nowhere.
Halsey turned and caught Scott with a running knee to the head and rolled him over trying to get a pin but he kicked out at two. Coleman grabbed Halsey from behind and drove her to the mat with a German suplex. Coleman flipped Monroe to the mat with a judo toss and then tried to lock in an armbar but Monroe was able to roll forward and get free. Monroe ran at Coleman and was slammed down with a powerslam. Coleman covered but Noavrra pulled her off of Monroe. Coleman was up to her feet and Noavrra slammed her down with a spinebuster and popped up to her feet. She saw Monroe and gave her the Down With The Thiccness (Seated senton/hip drop to the head/neck of the opponent) and covered to get a pin as the fans cheered.
ELIGIBLE: Noavrra
Gemma Foster: Noavrra picks up the first pinfall and can go for the title now!
Noavrra rolled out of the ring to get a ladder and survey the land. Monroe rolled away and Scott was up. Halsey hit the ropes and hit Scott with the Heartbreaker (Running knee to the heart)! She rolled to her feet and ran to the ropes and came back with the Desti-Knee Smash (Springboard Somersault Double Knee) and covered Scott to pick up a pin.
ELIGIBLE: Hayley Halsey
Halsey left the ring as well and met Noavrra at the nearest ladder and started to brawl. Monroe locked in Casey Grey’s Bitch Muzzle (Crossface) on Scott and he tapped out!
ELIGIBLE: Alicia Monroe
Monroe got to her feet and was hit with Coleman’s hard fist with the Superwoman punch! Coleman covered and picked up a pin!
ELIGIBLE: Meg Coleman
Coleman climbed out of the ring and grabbed a ladder and slid it into the ring. On the outside, Noavrra placed a ladder between the barricade and the apron and grabbed Halsey before lifting her and slamming her into it.
Scott Parker: Hayley Halsey in a bad situation here.
Noavrra climbed onto the apron and hit a running senton from the apron onto Halsey but they just bounced off the ladder! Both ladies were down as Coleman was in the ring and was setting up the ladder. She started to climb and Monroe was climbing up the other side. They met at the top and they started to hit each other with hard punches. The fans loved the back and forth as they cheered on. Scott was up and grabbed Coleman and pulled her off and caught her with a knee to the face as she fell. He then pushed the ladder backwards and Monroe bailed and landed on her feet. She charged and took a kick to the gut before Scott hit her with the Law and Order (Pumphandle Slam) onto the ladder! He covered and picked up a win.
ELIGIBLE: Austin Scott
Gemma Foster: Everyone has picked up a pinfall at this point. Now it’s all a scramble to the top of a ladder.
Scott grabbed the ladder and set it back up and started to climb. He was all alone but Noavrra quickly slid into the ring and landed a hard punch to his back as she jumped up. She climbed up to the second rung of the ladder under Scott and positioned herself and connected with the Mastodon Special (Pinning powerbomb into Boston crab)! The fans roared in cheers as she sat on his back and did damage before letting go. She tried to make her way to the top but Halsey was there with a jumping forearm smash. Noavrra staggered and Halsey hit her with the Heartbreaker. Halsey started to make her way to the top and had a hand on the title before Monroe pulled at her foot. Halsey kicked at her to try and get her off. Monroe climbed up behind Halsey and lifted her off the ladder and they came crashing down with the Down in Flames (Burning Hammer)!
Scott Parker: Down in Flames from off the ladder!
The ladder fell over onto Scott who had to kick it off him. He started to get to his feet and was hit with Coleman’s Headache (Running Knee to the face)! Noavrra grabbed Coleman and sent her into the corner and met her with a big splash. Noavrra lifted her onto the top turnbuckle and climbed up after her. Noavrra and Coleman were both on the top rope as Noavrra was trying to a superplex. Monroe came over and jumped onto the top rope with them both. Noavrra and Monroe pushed Coleman back and she fell backwards and landed on the ladder that was set up between the barricade and the apron. Monroe took Noavrra to the mat with a frankensteiner. Halsey was getting to her feet and saw Coleman started to get to her feet. Halsey started to set up the ladder in the ring and wanted to climb but Scott was there to not let her climb. He delivered a kick and lifted her for the Law & Order but sent her over the top and crashing onto Coleman on the ladder! The fans were in a frenzy as Scott was standing with everyone down.
Gemma Foster: Austin Scott is all alone!
Scott started to climb the ladder and moved to the top. Noavrra started to climb the other side and gave him a punch to the side. She blocked a punch and held onto him. Monroe was up and pushed the ladder over and they both went crashing down! Monroe scurried and started to climb and made it to the top. Noavrra was crawling to the ladder but Monroe yanked the title down!
Monroe sat at the top of the ladder with the National Title in her hands and was in shock.
Scott Parker: Alicia Monroe wins her first taste of championship gold as she’s the first ever Empire Wrestling National Champion!
Noavraa sat back and watched on as trainers checked on Halsey and Coleman on the outside who both appeared to be okay. Monroe held the title up in celebration as she started to climb down the ladder.
Scott Parker: This one should be great, Gemma. It’s time for tonight’s main event for the World Championship!
Gemma Foster: And here comes the challenger!
Benjamin Macbeth came out to the sound of boos and soaked them in as if they gave him life. He fixed the elbow pad on his right arm as he stood at the top of the ramp and looked around.
Scott Parker: Benjamin Macbeth has dubbed himself the Conscience of Empire Wrestling. He’s here tonight to become THE guy once again.
Macbeth was slow to the ring as if to calculate every step, as if everything was planned. He walked up the stairs and into the ring. He moved around before standing in a corner and jumping to the middle rope. He looked around and put his palms up, elbows tucked into his side.
Gemma Foster: It really is as if Macbeth is soaking everything in or like he’s allowing people to see his greatness.
The mood in the Warehouse changed as "Helix" by Amaranthe kicked up and it brought out the World Champion, FM Young. She was fired up as she moved around the stage, her personalized title around her waist. She looked down to Macbeth as she paced around the top of the ramp and made her way down.
Scott Parker: I know that FM has had some great matches in her career but this feels special, Gemma.
Young climbed into the ring and threw the title up in the air in her hair to a big cheer. She looked down at it before handing it off. The match was announced and we were set. Young moved around Macbeth as he watched her. She slowly came in and tried to lock up but he side stepped her and tripped her up with a drop toe hold. They both climbed up to their feet quickly and locked up with Young flipped him over with a headlock takedown and held on tight. Macbeth was able to flip up to his feet and spun Young around with a wrist lock behind her back. Young reached back and tried to hit Macbeth with an elbow but he ducked it and took her to the mat with a northern lights suplex. He rolled Young up to her feet and was behind her with ease and delivered his String Theory (Rolling German Suplex).
Gemma Foster: Macbeth with control early on.
Macbeth quickly locked on a headlock on Young on the mat and tried to keep her grounded. Young slowly got some leverage under her feet and was able to power herself up and lifted Macbeth up with a belly to back suplex. Both competitors were up and Young hit Macbeth with a big chop to the chest. He looked for a right hand but she blocked it with an axe handle and then flipped Macbeth to the mat with a hip toss. Macbeth stood and Young looked for a cutter but was pushed away as Macbeth rolled out of the ring.
Scott Parker: Benjamin Macbeth smartly getting out of the ring as FM was starting to put together a series of moves there. This allows him to slow things back down.
Young went after him and he quickly got back into the ring and stomped on Young’s hand as she started to get back in the ring. He grabbed her by the hand and wrenched it behind her back again. Macbeth lifted Young up and dropped her on her arm and wrist pinned to the mat and her back. He grabbed her again and applied pressure to the shoulder and neck area, trying to wear her down. Young slowly got to her feet and whipped Macbeth into the corner. Young charged with a hard corner uppercut. She pulled him out of the corner and dropped him with a short arm elbow smash. Macbeth rolled to his feet and was taken right back down with a swinging neckbreaker. Young rolled Macbeth into a cover for just one as he kicked out. Macbeth got to his feet and dodged an incoming dropkick.
Gemma Foster: Macbeth seems to be a half a step ahead of Young tonight.
Young stepped to Macbeth and he rocked her with a hard kick to the knee. Then a spinning back kick. A leaping knee caught Young right in the jaw. Macbeth finished off the Toil and Trouble with the spinning backfist that dropped Young to the mat. Macbeth rolled Young up as he hooked a leg and almost had two before she kicked out. Macbeth quickly rolled Young to a seated position and applied a sleeper hold. Young was slipping but the fans started getting behind her. She powered up to her feet and drove a few elbows into the gut of Macbeth and flipped him inside out with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline). Macbeth hit the mat and bounced right back up and caught Young with From Parts Unknown (360 Buzzsaw Kick) and both competitors dropped to the mat!
Scott Parker: What a series of events! Macbeth with From Parts Unknown with a final gasp of energy and both superstars are down. The referee is starting his count.
The referee made it to the count of six before they started to stir. It was at eight and Macbeth made it to his feet with Young up a moment later. Macbeth kicked Young and she came back with a hard chop to the chest. He landed a headbutt that staggered her for a moment before another hard chop connected to his chest. Macbeth’s chest was bright red as she hit another chop. Then another. Young connected with a step up enziguri that dropped Macbeth to the mat. Young was able to get to her feet and saw how Macbeth was positioned. She moved over to the corner and jumped up to the second rope and took a moment. She jumped up again and was able to connect with the Negasonic Warhead (Starship Pain)! She covered and got a two count as Macbeth was able to kick out.
Gemma Foster: Young not able to put Macbeth away with the Negasonic Warhead.
Young took a few moments to collect herself before pulling Macbeth to his feet. She wanted another Man-Machine Interface and Macbeth was able to duck this one and hit a snap dragon suplex. They both rolled to their feet and Macbeth connected with a bicycle pump kick to the face of Young. She came right back at him and he took her to the mat with a double underhook suplex before floating right into the Inevitability (Rings of Saturn Submission)!
Scott Parker: Inevitability!
Young screamed out as Macbeth had the hold locked in tight. The fans cheered FM on as she tried to move herself towards the ropes. Young couldn’t but was eventually able to roll herself, pinning Macbeth’s shoulders to the mat as she got two and he let go and kicked out. They both got to their feet and Young connected with a cutter! Young tried to roll Macbeth over but he kept rolling and rolled out to the apron. Young took a deep breath and pulled her hair back as she stood. Macbeth started to stand and punched Young in the face. She came back with a punch and then rammed his head off the nearest top turnbuckle. She started to climb to the second rope and pulled him up from the outside. She turned herself and put Macbeth on her shoulders.
Gemma Foster: She’s not going to is she?
Macbeth tried to struggle but Young flipped him down with the Human Error Processor (Assault Driver) from the second ropes! Young covered as the fans counted along and Macbeth kicked out at two!
Scott Parker: Benjamin Macbeth just kicked out of a second rope Human Error Processor!
Young was in shock as she pulled Macbeth up to his feet. She ran the ropes once, twice, three times, and looked for a spear but ran into a spinning back kick that caught her right in the head. She stumbled backwards and fell through the second ropes and to the floor. Macbeth followed her as the referee started his count. Macbeth slammed Young headfirst into the announce table. He reset the count once it got to four and pointed at the referee to either stop or slow. Macbeth grabbed Young and slammed her off the table once again as he wiped sweat away. Young speared Macbeth into the apron but he clubbed at her back with hard blows. She took a step back and he caught her with a bicycle knee strike! He pulled her in and delivered Serious Moonlight (Lifting Single Underhook DDT) on the outside! He tried to pull her up but she was deadweight and the count was up to nine so he quickly slid in and out of the ring to reset it. He got Young up and rolled her into the ring and climbed in after her with a cover but the time that had passed allowed her to kick out just before three to the delight of the fans.
Gemma Foster: FM is still in this! The Heart and Soul of this company has more to give!
Macbeth slowly stomped on Young before pulling her up with a front facelock. He was setting up for another Serious Moonlight but Young was able to counter into a backdrop. Macbeth stood and Young looked for the Superchick (The Shiranui) but Macbeth stepped backwards and Young landed on the apron. Macbeth climbed out onto the apron with Young and he flipped over her with a powerbomb onto the floor! Macbeth was slow to his feet and the count was up to seven so he rolled in and out of the ring as Young crawled over to the table. He rolled her on top of it and climbed up after her.
Scott Parker: Watch out, Gemma!
Macbeth told Young to stay down and she caught him with a headbutt that caught him in the temple and dazed him. Young roared and dug down deep once again and hit the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check) as they both went through the table! Macbeth grabbed at his back as he laid on top of Young. Young was dazed from the headbutt and tried to get Macbeth off her.
Gemma Foster: Crashing through the table here and both competitors are gassed!
Young started to crawl out of the wreckage and Macbeth reached out and grabbed her by the boot. She kicked at him as he tried to block most of the shots. He started to crawl to her and she landed a right hand before he basically just face washed her against the floor on the outside. They both rolled away from each other slowly and the referee made the ten count and called for the bell!
Scott Parker: This thing is going to go down as a draw as both were just counted out.
Gemma Foster: Wait. So Benjamin Macbeth is STILL unpinned here in Empire Wrestling.
Young was announced as the AND STILL Empire Wrestling World Champion as she used the barricade to strand up. She was handed the title and looked at Macbeth who had climbed back into the ring. He looked out at Young and pointed his fingers at her and “fired” a shot.
Scott Parker: This is not over between these two.
FM Young held up her title as Macbeth watched on as the fans cheered, fading to black.
