Next Level: Turmoil - January 2, 2021
Scott Parker: Welcome everyone and happy New Year! It’s the first event of the year and if you missed the big news over at BWF, here is part of that historic announcement!
An End... and a Beginning
The cameras go live inside the House of Blazenwing as we join the Owner of the BWF, Emily Corlen, waiting in the ring, mic in hand. Aside from a lone spotlight in the ring, the arena is completely dark.
Emily Corlen: Good evening. My name is Emily Corlen, six-time World Champion and Owner of the BWF... and I'm joining you here tonight at the top of the hour to make the announcement you've all been waiting for. What is the future of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation? Now, I could be a jerk and draw this out for a bit. Talk about the history of the company and what it's meant to hundreds, if not thousands, of people. But... we have a hell of a show tonight and I'm itching to get to it, so I'm just going to hit you with the broadest of strokes. The Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, as a stand-alone entity, ends tonight with Finish Line. That much is known. So, what does that mean going forward? What comes next?
Emily glances to her side and pauses before continuing.
Emily Corlen: I do have to apologize, first and foremost. There was supposed to be somebody else out here making this announcement with me tonight, but... they're a little busy with their own show airing tomorrow night, so it couldn't be helped. That DOES mean that I get to make this historic announcement all on my own, though, and anybody who knows Emily Corlen knows how much I love making history. That's why I am pleased to officially announce that, as of the end of tonight's show, the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation and Empire Wrestling are officially uniting under one company banner! Welcome to the Next Era. Welcome to the United Wrestling Alliance.
Emily Corlen: Now, I know a lot of you armchair wrestlers in the crowd and watching at home guessed this announcement in one form or another. But, we here in UWA don't like to be that predictable, so we're still changing it up a little bit. See, the original plan was to simply operate under the UWA banner with our respective events, something like a brand extension. While we are keeping that aspect of the unification, myself and the heads of Empire came to a realization just a few short weeks ago. Why do the Blazenwing and Empire brands need to fade away simply for UWA to stand on its own? That's why I'm pleased to make this announcement as well... the Blazenwing and Empire Wrestling branding are officially remaining active in this new era.
~~~~~~~~~~
Scott Parker: There it is folks! Empire Wrestling and the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation under the same umbrella once again. Tonight we are honored to present the very first UWA event. This is UWA-EW.
Gemma Foster: What a big night this is going to be, Scott.
Top of the World Battle Royal
Casey Grey Vs. AJ Adams Vs. Alicia Monroe Vs. Jason Evans Vs. Harper Blake Vs. Kamila Rose Vs. Lacy Nelson Vs. Dave Blazenwing Vs. Outlaw
The Start: The big mystery opponent was a returning Outlaw which shocked the fans in attendance. He came out fired up as the rest of the opponents stood in the ring. The fans were torn between rooting for their various favorites in the ring as the match was set to start.
The Match: The 9 competitors in the ring tried to toss each other out of the ring and it was your standard battle royal. It was hard hitting and mostly everyone for themselves. AJ Adams and Outlaw quickly picked up their heated rivalry with back and forth punches. Outlaw spiked the new BWF International Champion AJ Adams to the mat with a DDT. Monroe and Grey were working together as they tried to take out Jason Evans. Evans battled back and almost had Monroe out before Grey flipped him to the apron. Rose came over and knocked off both Monroe and Evans with the first set of eliminations.
ELIMINATED: Jason Evans & Alicia Monroe
Outlaw and Blazenwing shared a few blows as Lacy Nelson battled an angry Grey. Blake formed an alliance with Grey to try and get Nelson out. Adams hit Grey with a German suplex to break it up. Rose was about to toss Outlaw but he countered and tossed her over the top rope but she held on. She jumped back into the ring and hit Outlaw with a big dropkick. Blazenwing hit the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) and Outlaw went up and over the top and as he celebrated he was dumped over the top by Rose.
ELIMINATED: Outlaw & David Blazenwing
Blake hit Rose with a running big boot but was then hit with a Superkick from Nelson. Nelson and Grey flipped Blake out of the ring.
ELIMINATED: Harper Blake
We were down to Lacy Nelson, Casey Grey, Kamia Rose, and AJ Adams. Adams and Rose battled and were pushing each other against the ropes. Nelson hit Grey with the Headline (Eat Defeat) and Grey fell backwards and went through the second rope and to the floor. She jumped back to the apron and was hit with a superkick from Nelson as she fell to the floor and was announced as eliminated.
ELIMINATED: Casey Grey
Grey argued with referees on the outside as the match continued inside. Outlaw went for Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) on Rose but she countered with a backdrop that sent him over the top and to the floor, landing on Grey.
ELIMINATED: Outlaw
We came down to Rose and Nelson who now had to compete in a standard pinfall match. These two were somewhat gassed at this moment but once it came down to just them they took a moment to regroup. The fans were excited and cheering for the two. Nelson and Rose locked up and went blow for blow before Nelson ducked behind her and hit her with a tiger suplex. Nelson wanted the superkick and looked for it but Rose ducked it and hit her with a lungblower backbreaker and rolled her into the Black Rose (Banks Statement) before Nelson eventually got to the ropes.
The End: Rose continued to work on the back of Nelson for the next few minutes and really slowed down the match. She connected with a few suplexes and then a bridging northern lights suplex into a pin for two. Rose sent Nelson into the corner and lifted her to the top and started to follow as they both stood. Rose was setting up for the Rose Clipper (Spanish Fly) but Nelson started to battle out and pushed Rose off the top rope. She fell backwards and landed hard but started to get up. Nelson jumped off the top and landed right in front of her and then flipped her over with a picture perfect Byline (Canadian Destroyer). Rose flipped right up to her feet and stunned. Nelson stood and ran right into a jumping knee to the face and fell backwards into the ropes but came right back with a superkick! Nelson covered and picked up a pinfall victory.
WINNER: Lacy Nelson via pinfall @ 19:05
Gemma Foster: Lacy has done it! She gets the rematch against FM Young here tonight.
Scott Parker: Next Level: Turmoil, December 26th, 2018 saw the debut of Lacy Nelson and just a little over two years later she’s picked up a big win at this same event. She came close to defeating FM Young just a couple weeks ago.
Gemma Foster: Kamila Rose with a breakout performance here tonight as well.
Nelson sat on her knees as she fixed her hair in the ring.
Caution
The Angle: Backstage we see the medical team checking on the EW World Champion FM Young as a clip played from last night’s BWF Finish Line event.
The part of Young hitting the mat was shown a few times as Parker and Foster pointed out that Young couldn’t be 100% tonight. Sara Logan was there with the medical team as they informed her they did not recommend FM Young compete tonight. Young piped in that there was no way she wouldn’t compete and would sign a waiver if she had to. She was excited to face Lacy Nelson once again. Logan told her assistant to go draw up the paperwork as we cut away.
Primetime Championship
Marilyn Lee Cross (c) Vs. Miguel Perez of The 323
The Start: Cross came out and cut a promo about not having an opponent for the event tonight. She laid out a challenge to anyone in the back that didn’t have a match scheduled tonight. Miguel Perez of the 323 came out and climbed into the ring. He grabbed a microphone and cut a promo about being disrespected since returning to Empire Wrestling before turning away from Cross to look to the back and continue his promo towards the other tag teams in the back and Cross rocked him with John Wilkes Boot (Running Yakuza Kick to the back of the head).
The End: Perez was stunned with the boot and couldn’t get himself going after that. He tried to fight back with right hands and was able to hit a hip toss on a charging Cross. Cross popped back up and hit Catch Your Breath (Striking Spear) and then locked in the Hungry Jaws (Dragon Sleeper w/ body scissors) as she forced Perez to tap quickly.
WINNER AND STILL EW PRIMETIME CHAMPION: Marilyn Lee Crossvia submission @ 3:32
Man Down
The Angle: We got a shot backstage of Kaito Hirano being attended to by trainers checking out his shoulder. It was deemed that a nagging injury would keep him out of the match tonight with Tia Santos but Jason Evans would be pulling double duty and take his place.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Meg Coleman (c) Vs. AJ Jenkynx Vs. Johnny Draco Vs. Noavrra Vs. Kasey Kash
The Start: The five competitors were all excited to get the match going and Noavrra went right at Coleman as there was bad blood building between the two. Kash, Jenkynx, and Draco battled each other in a corner with back and forth punches between them. Kash hit a big spinning backfist on Draco and dropped him to the mat. Jenkynx was running around the ring and was hitting anyone that moved. The crowd was behind Noavrra as she smashed Jenkynx to the mat with a belly to belly slam.
The Match: Coleman had everyone on the edge of their seat after she hit Kash with the Superwoman Punch and almost got a pinfall victory but Noavrra pulled her off. Jenkynx started to go to the top rope but Kash pushed him off and he fell to the outside and crashed onto the barricade as he seemed to be hurt. Noavrra started to strike everyone with knife edge chops to the chest and then dropped Draco with a catch uranage. She turned right into a flatliner from Kash! Kash tried to cover but Noavrra kicked out at two. Kash looked for his Aussie Knee Party (Shining Wizard) but Noavrra ducked it and he ran right into Coleman’s Superwoman Punch. Draco spun Coleman around and hit her with the Regime Drop (Rock Bottom). Draco was fired up and he quickly went to the top before hitting Coleman with Sky Limit (Corkscrew 450° splash). He wasn’t able to cover as he was quickly picked up and hit with a powerbomb from Noavrra. Noavrra went on a tear as she started to hit everyone with a German suplex. The Yeet Machine had the fans going wild. After hitting Kash, Coleman, and Draco with suplexes, she covered Kash but he kicked out at two.
The End: Jenkynx had finally made it back into the ring and hit Noavrra a spinning heel kick and then quickly hit her with the I’m Deadlier (Killswitch). He covered and had a near three count before Kash pulled him out of the ring. Kash and Jenkynx spilled over the top of the barricade and started to brawl. Coleman tried to lock Draco into an armbar but he was able to counter and roll her up with a school boy and she kicked out at two. Coleman was up and Noavrra charged and she was sent over the top rope and landed on her feet. She jumped up to the apron as Coleman had Draco from behind. Coleman pushed Draco and he and Noavrra knocked heads as Noavrra fell off the apron and Coleman rolled Draco up with a school boy pin for three.
WINNER AND STILL EW NATIONAL CHAMPION: Meg Coleman via pinfall @ 17:09
The Aftermath: Noavrra was stunned as she rubbed her head and jumped into the ring and reached for Coleman but Coleman rolled out of the ring. Draco tried to blame Noavrra as the two got in each other’s faces.
Reforzando La Fundación (Strengthening The Foundation)
With the sound of a match striking, a tiny flame pierces the blackness and lights the wick of a single candle. The spreading glow brings the skull painted face of Tia Santos into focus with her dark gaze staring right into the camera.
Tia Santos: And so begins the new year, doesn’t it Jason Evans? A year full of trials and tribulations has come and gone and here we are. Here we stand. The survivors of War...Famine...Pestilence...and Death.
Her lips peel back over her teeth. In what is normally a smile leaning on the more attractive side, we see a glimpse of the inner maliciousness that lies within her. Maybe it’s just the face paint. Maybe it’s the way the flame reflects off of her eyes. Maybe it’s a look into the true nature of the woman speaking in her native tongue to the next challenger for her Empire Extreme Championship.
Tia Santos: My survival was inevitable. The Saint of Killers cannot die. She is beaten and battered yet she rises from the ash and rubble, stronger than before. She feeds off the souls of the weak. The leeches. The bottom feeders. Admittedly, some souls are more...resilient...than others. Such as yours, Senor Evans. As I recall, you were my first opponent. The first brick in MY Empire. Since then, I have proceeded to build and build upon that foundation I have laid and I have ascended to the Next Level. The “Extreme” level.
Accepting that her reference may be considered a little...corny, Tia cracks a wry grin and adjusts something on her shoulder. The camera pans out some, bringing more lit candles into frame. Just enough to illuminate the Extreme Championship resting on her shoulder.
Tia Santos: You see this as your second chance at earning relevance, Senor Evans. Perhaps a way out from under the shadow of Kaito Hirano. You may be recognized as a partner in the eyes of some. One half of Dishonor. I see you for what you are, though. A lapdog. His droog. To me, you are nothing more than a loose brick in my foundation that is in need of repair and and tonight, at Next Level: Turmoil, the Saint of Killers will perform that maintenance in earnest. I cannot afford any lack of integrity in my empire’s foundation. So, tonight, the repairs take place. My tools for the job will be any and everything I can get my hands on. Tables. Chairs. Canes. I may very well find use of a hammer and some nails. Perhaps some concrete itself. For the second time that we meet one on one, Senor Evans, I am going to put you down and this time….
Tia lowers her chin, narrowing her black bordered eyes with a tiny smirk as she flexes her fingers on the grip of her Extreme Championship belt, resting on her shoulder. To the surprise of many, she says her next words...in English, her voice soft yet firm, still cold and heavily weighed with her homeland’s accent.
Tia Santos: You are going to stay down.
Sealed
The Angle: Backstage we got Sara Logan being given the waiver to allow FM Young to compete tonight, absolving Empire Wrestling of any liability should she be seriously injured. Lacy Nelson met with Logan to sign the contract for the match as FM Young entered. Young told Nelson she was excited for them to compete against each other once again as Young had missed Nelson. Nelson gave a half-hearted smile and a nod and seemed confused.
Lacy Nelson: I’m sorry, I’m still not all there. The last few months are a blur since… her. But, good luck out there.
EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Kingslayers (c) Vs. Social Elite Vs. Goldstein & Daemon
The Start: Goldstein and Daemon were the clear fan favorites in this match as they made their way down to the ring. Junji and Fixit quickly jumped Goldstein and Daemon as soon as they entered the ring as the Social Elite let them tear into each other.
The Match: This match had one member of each team in the ring at a time and was heavily with Junji, Goldstein, and Kash. Kash showed her heel side quite often as she’d grab Goldstein by the hair and pull him to the mat before she and Junji teamed up to stomp on him. Kash flaunted around the ring and Junji hit her with a snap dragon suplex. She rolled to her feet and he connected with his Deceptive Sorcerer (Junji sets up for a Shining Wizard but hops over the opponent right before hitting them and nails a back kick to the back of their head). Junji turned and saw Goldstein standing on the top rope, after he made a tag to Daemon, but couldn’t react fast enough and was hit with a big crossbody off the top rope. Daemon came in and started to clear house with uppercuts and hip tosses as both Page and Kash charged at him. Fixit climbed into the ring and the two big men went blow for blow before Daemon hit him with a big boot. Daemon tried to cover Kash but Junji broke it up at two. While Daemon and Junji fought, Kash was able to make a tag to Page. Page caught Junji with a Chick Kick and then Daemon with a jumping knee. Page pulled Daemon in and looked for the Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog) but he lifted her and dumped her over the top rope to the floor below.
The End: The Kingslayers started to clear house with great teamwork and were the only two standing in the ring at one point as the referee tried to get control of the match. Page, Kash, Goldstein, and Daemon were on the outside of the ring as Junji charged and took them all out with a tope con hilo! He rolled Goldstein into the ring and Fixit lifted him and hit the Royal Guard Bomb (Sitout Chokebomb). Fixit covered for two before Daemon pulled him out of the ring. Daemon climbed into the ring as Junji went to the top and Junji looked for a moonsault to the standing Daemon but Daemon caught him and delivered Twist of Cain with Twist of Cain II (Vertical Suplex Piledriver). Goldstein and Fixit were battling on the outside and Daemon went for the save. Daemon tossed Goldstein like a lawn dart as he hit Fixit with a spear. Page and Kash climbed into the ring and Kash delivered the Kash Flow (Codebreaker) and Page rolled Junji up for a pinfall victory!
WINNERS AND NEW EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Social Elite (Angel Kash & Summer Page) via pinfall @ 21:37
The Aftermath: The fans booed as the Social Elite were given the titles and they quickly ducked out of the ring to celebrate as Goldstein, Daemon, and the Kingslayers kept fighting around the ring and into the crowd to the back.
EW EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP
Tia Santos (c) Vs. Jason Evans
The Start: Hirano and Santos stood in the ring shouting at each other in their own languages as Kamila Rose was with Santos in her corner. Evans stepped in between Santos and Hirano and she popped him with a forearm to the jaw. Evans and Santos exploded with wild punches as Hirano and Rose left the ring. Hirano pulled out a kendo stick and tossed it to Evans as Rose did the same thing for Santos. The two started to swing and clash kendo sticks before they started to both break apart.
The Match: While this was for the Extreme Championship, these two had a great fast paced wrestling match. Evans relied on his striking but was a little slow after his match earlier in the night. He connected with a discus forearm and a swinging neckbreaker. Santos started to get to her feet and ran the ropes but was grabbed from the outside by Hirano. She turned and was opened for Evans to hit a belly to back suplex. Rose chased Hirano off as the two of them went to the back. Evans rolled out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Evans swung at Santos in the ring and she ducked it and she countered with Danze de los Muertos ([Dance of the Dead]
She bends back up and goes for a spinning back kick which the opponent usually ducks. As they come up, however, Tia’s kicking leg comes down and she nails them in the face with a Chick Kick, finishing with a dancing spin with her arms out). Santos was fired up and caught a rising Evans with a hurricanrana. Santos covered for two before Evans kicked out. She tried to toss him out of the ring and he landed on the apron. She charged but ran into a shoulder to the gut before Evans jumped and connected with Seeing Stars (Slingshot DDT) on the chair! Evans covered and Santos was able to just kick out at two.
The End: The match started to turn back towards Santos as she battled back. She planted Evans with a DDT and took a moment to breath again. Hirano ran back down to the ring and caught Santos with a kendo stick shot to the head. Hirano pulled Evans on top of Santos and she kicked out at two. Hirano shouted at the referee as Rose came running back down and chased off Hirano again. Evans climbed to the top and looked for the Overdrive (630 Splash) but Santos moved out of the way. They both got to their feet and Santos hit Beso de Muerte ([Kiss of Death] Dream DDT) and covered for the win.
WINNER AND STILL EW EXTREME CHAMPION: Tia Santos via pinfall @ 18:33
EW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
FM Young (c) Vs. Lacy Nelson
The Start: The main event was set to start and the crowd was torn between the two competitors with dueling chants. Lacy had some tape on her shoulders after the battle royal earlier in the night and at the start of the match it was clear that FM Young wasn’t 100%. She moved slower than normal after coming off that grueling match in the main event of BWF Finish Line. The two met in the middle of the ring and Young said a few things with a smile before they locked up.
The Match: Lacy took control early on as she tried to put away the champion early with a small package but Young kicked out and then was met with a back elbow to the face. Nelson showed off her technical side with lock ups and slams to the mat to try and shake up Young. Young eventually started to battle back and after a jumping knee to the face, hit Nelson with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline). Young dug down deep and went to the top rope and looked for a hurricanrana but Nelson moved out of the way as Young landed on her feet. Nelson spun Young around and hit a big ace cutter but only got a two count. Nelson kept looking for her superkick but Young, knowing Nelson so well, was able to duck, dodge, and block every attempt. Young then would look for a German that Nelson had scouted and countered as she landed on her feet. Nelson looked for the Deadline (Tiger Driver '98) but Young countered into a Code Red and got a two count before Nelson kicked out. Young looked gassed at this point in the match but kept trying to fight on. She started to set up for the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check) but Nelson hit her with a hard elbow to the head and it stunned the champion. The referee tried to call the match as she was having trouble standing but she refused.
The End: Young looked for the Man-Machine Interface but Nelson ducked it and Young stumbled into the ropes. She turned around and was rocked by the superkick from Nelson. Nelson looked around frantically as she almost couldn’t believe she connected with the kick. Young started to stand and Nelson connected with another superkick. The fans were up on their feet as Nelson pulled Young to her knees and put her head against Young’s before delivering the Headline (Eat Defeat). The fans counted along as Nelson covered and picked up the pinfall.
WINNER AND NEW EW WORLD CHAMPION: Lacy Nelson via pinfall @ 19:04
Scott Parker: Lacy Nelson is once again EW World Champion! She joins FM Young as the only other two time World Champion.
Gemma Foster: What a journey over the last couple months for Lacy as well. FM’s 142 day reign comes to an end.
The Aftermath: The fans cheered Nelson on as she sat on her knees and pulled her hair back from her face and caught her breath. She was handed FM’s custom EW World Championship as she reached out and touched FM’s hand before standing to celebrate. Trainers came down to check on FM and helped her out of the ring.
Scott Parker: What a way to start the year!
The final shot was of Lacy Nelson celebrating on the top turnbuckle before the lights flickered and came right back up. Lacy looked up at the ramp in a daze and jumped down. Her music kicked back up as if it skipped and she looked around as we went off-air.
Caution
The Angle: Backstage we see the medical team checking on the EW World Champion FM Young as a clip played from last night’s BWF Finish Line event.
The turning point of the match came when Nessa hit FM with the Truth Hurts (Running Enzuigiri to the chest of a dazed/seated opponent), catching her with the tip of her boot right between the eyes. FM fell back and smacked her head hard against the ring mat. The combination of the two seemingly concussed the World Champion, leaving her dazed and confused even as Nessa grew more determined by the moment.
The part of Young hitting the mat was shown a few times as Parker and Foster pointed out that Young couldn’t be 100% tonight. Kash tried to cover but Noavrra kicked out at two. Kash looked for his Aussie Knee Party (Shining Wizard) but Noavrra ducked it and he ran right into Coleman’s Superwoman Punch. Draco spun Coleman around and hit her with the Regime Drop (Rock Bottom). Draco was fired up and he quickly went to the top before hitting Coleman with Sky Limit (Corkscrew 450° splash). He wasn’t able to cover as he was quickly picked up and hit with a powerbomb from Noavrra. Noavrra went on a tear as she started to hit everyone with a German suplex. The Yeet Machine had the fans going wild. After hitting Kash, Coleman, and Draco with suplexes, she covered Kash but he kicked out at two.
The End: Jenkynx had finally made it back into the ring and hit Noavrra a spinning heel kick and then quickly hit her with the I’m Deadlier (Killswitch). He covered and had a near three count before Kash pulled him out of the ring. Kash and Jenkynx spilled over the top of the barricade and started to brawl. Coleman tried to lock Draco into an armbar but he was able to counter and roll her up with a school boy and she kicked out at two. Coleman was up and Noavrra charged and she was sent over the top rope and landed on her feet. She jumped up to the apron as Coleman had Draco from behind. Coleman pushed Draco and he and Noavrra knocked heads as Noavrra fell off the apron and Coleman rolled Draco up with a school boy pin for three.
WINNER AND STILL EW NATIONAL CHAMPION: Meg Coleman via pinfall @ 17:09
The Aftermath: Noavrra was stunned as she rubbed her head and jumped into the ring and reached for Coleman but Coleman rolled out of the ring. Draco tried to blame Noavrra as the two got in each other’s faces.
Reforzando La Fundación (Strengthening The Foundation)
With the sound of a match striking, a tiny flame pierces the blackness and lights the wick of a single candle. The spreading glow brings the skull painted face of Tia Santos into focus with her dark gaze staring right into the camera.
Tia Santos: And so begins the new year, doesn’t it Jason Evans? A year full of trials and tribulations has come and gone and here we are. Here we stand. The survivors of War...Famine...Pestilence...and Death.
Her lips peel back over her teeth. In what is normally a smile leaning on the more attractive side, we see a glimpse of the inner maliciousness that lies within her. Maybe it’s just the face paint. Maybe it’s the way the flame reflects off of her eyes. Maybe it’s a look into the true nature of the woman speaking in her native tongue to the next challenger for her Empire Extreme Championship.
Tia Santos: My survival was inevitable. The Saint of Killers cannot die. She is beaten and battered yet she rises from the ash and rubble, stronger than before. She feeds off the souls of the weak. The leeches. The bottom feeders. Admittedly, some souls are more...resilient...than others. Such as yours, Senor Evans. As I recall, you were my first opponent. The first brick in MY Empire. Since then, I have proceeded to build and build upon that foundation I have laid and I have ascended to the Next Level. The “Extreme” level.
Accepting that her reference may be considered a little...corny, Tia cracks a wry grin and adjusts something on her shoulder. The camera pans out some, bringing more lit candles into frame. Just enough to illuminate the Extreme Championship resting on her shoulder.
Tia Santos: You see this as your second chance at earning relevance, Senor Evans. Perhaps a way out from under the shadow of Kaito Hirano. You may be recognized as a partner in the eyes of some. One half of Dishonor. I see you for what you are, though. A lapdog. His droog. To me, you are nothing more than a loose brick in my foundation that is in need of repair and and tonight, at Next Level: Turmoil, the Saint of Killers will perform that maintenance in earnest. I cannot afford any lack of integrity in my empire’s foundation. So, tonight, the repairs take place. My tools for the job will be any and everything I can get my hands on. Tables. Chairs. Canes. I may very well find use of a hammer and some nails. Perhaps some concrete itself. For the second time that we meet one on one, Senor Evans, I am going to put you down and this time….
Tia lowers her chin, narrowing her black bordered eyes with a tiny smirk as she flexes her fingers on the grip of her Extreme Championship belt, resting on her shoulder. To the surprise of many, she says her next words...in English, her voice soft yet firm, still cold and heavily weighed with her homeland’s accent.
Tia Santos: You are going to stay down.
Sealed
The Angle: Backstage we got Sara Logan being given the waiver to allow FM Young to compete tonight, absolving Empire Wrestling of any liability should she be seriously injured. Lacy Nelson met with Logan to sign the contract for the match as FM Young entered. Young told Nelson she was excited for them to compete against each other once again as Young had missed Nelson. Nelson gave a half-hearted smile and a nod and seemed confused.
Lacy Nelson: I’m sorry, I’m still not all there. The last few months are a blur since… her. But, good luck out there.
EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Kingslayers (c) Vs. Social Elite Vs. Goldstein & Daemon
The Start: Goldstein and Daemon were the clear fan favorites in this match as they made their way down to the ring. Junji and Fixit quickly jumped Goldstein and Daemon as soon as they entered the ring as the Social Elite let them tear into each other.
The Match: This match had one member of each team in the ring at a time and was heavily with Junji, Goldstein, and Kash. Kash showed her heel side quite often as she’d grab Goldstein by the hair and pull him to the mat before she and Junji teamed up to stomp on him. Kash flaunted around the ring and Junji hit her with a snap dragon suplex. She rolled to her feet and he connected with his Deceptive Sorcerer (Junji sets up for a Shining Wizard but hops over the opponent right before hitting them and nails a back kick to the back of their head). Junji turned and saw Goldstein standing on the top rope, after he made a tag to Daemon, but couldn’t react fast enough and was hit with a big crossbody off the top rope. Daemon came in and started to clear house with uppercuts and hip tosses as both Page and Kash charged at him. Fixit climbed into the ring and the two big men went blow for blow before Daemon hit him with a big boot. Daemon tried to cover Kash but Junji broke it up at two. While Daemon and Junji fought, Kash was able to make a tag to Page. Page caught Junji with a Chick Kick and then Daemon with a jumping knee. Page pulled Daemon in and looked for the Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog) but he lifted her and dumped her over the top rope to the floor below.
The End: The Kingslayers started to clear house with great teamwork and were the only two standing in the ring at one point as the referee tried to get control of the match. Page, Kash, Goldstein, and Daemon were on the outside of the ring as Junji charged and took them all out with a tope con hilo! He rolled Goldstein into the ring and Fixit lifted him and hit the Royal Guard Bomb (Sitout Chokebomb). Fixit covered for two before Daemon pulled him out of the ring. Daemon climbed into the ring as Junji went to the top and Junji looked for a moonsault to the standing Daemon but Daemon caught him and delivered Twist of Cain with Twist of Cain II (Vertical Suplex Piledriver). Goldstein and Fixit were battling on the outside and Daemon went for the save. Daemon tossed Goldstein like a lawn dart as he hit Fixit with a spear. Page and Kash climbed into the ring and Kash delivered the Kash Flow (Codebreaker) and Page rolled Junji up for a pinfall victory!
WINNERS AND NEW EW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Social Elite (Angel Kash & Summer Page) via pinfall @ 21:37
The Aftermath: The fans booed as the Social Elite were given the titles and they quickly ducked out of the ring to celebrate as Goldstein, Daemon, and the Kingslayers kept fighting around the ring and into the crowd to the back.
EW EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP
Tia Santos (c) Vs. Jason Evans
The Start: Hirano and Santos stood in the ring shouting at each other in their own languages as Kamila Rose was with Santos in her corner. Evans stepped in between Santos and Hirano and she popped him with a forearm to the jaw. Evans and Santos exploded with wild punches as Hirano and Rose left the ring. Hirano pulled out a kendo stick and tossed it to Evans as Rose did the same thing for Santos. The two started to swing and clash kendo sticks before they started to both break apart.
The Match: While this was for the Extreme Championship, these two had a great fast paced wrestling match. Evans relied on his striking but was a little slow after his match earlier in the night. He connected with a discus forearm and a swinging neckbreaker. Santos started to get to her feet and ran the ropes but was grabbed from the outside by Hirano. She turned and was opened for Evans to hit a belly to back suplex. Rose chased Hirano off as the two of them went to the back. Evans rolled out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Evans swung at Santos in the ring and she ducked it and she countered with Danze de los Muertos ([Dance of the Dead]
She bends back up and goes for a spinning back kick which the opponent usually ducks. As they come up, however, Tia’s kicking leg comes down and she nails them in the face with a Chick Kick, finishing with a dancing spin with her arms out). Santos was fired up and caught a rising Evans with a hurricanrana. Santos covered for two before Evans kicked out. She tried to toss him out of the ring and he landed on the apron. She charged but ran into a shoulder to the gut before Evans jumped and connected with Seeing Stars (Slingshot DDT) on the chair! Evans covered and Santos was able to just kick out at two.
The End: The match started to turn back towards Santos as she battled back. She planted Evans with a DDT and took a moment to breath again. Hirano ran back down to the ring and caught Santos with a kendo stick shot to the head. Hirano pulled Evans on top of Santos and she kicked out at two. Hirano shouted at the referee as Rose came running back down and chased off Hirano again. Evans climbed to the top and looked for the Overdrive (630 Splash) but Santos moved out of the way. They both got to their feet and Santos hit Beso de Muerte ([Kiss of Death] Dream DDT) and covered for the win.
WINNER AND STILL EW EXTREME CHAMPION: Tia Santos via pinfall @ 18:33
EW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
FM Young (c) Vs. Lacy Nelson
The Start: The main event was set to start and the crowd was torn between the two competitors with dueling chants. Lacy had some tape on her shoulders after the battle royal earlier in the night and at the start of the match it was clear that FM Young wasn’t 100%. She moved slower than normal after coming off that grueling match in the main event of BWF Finish Line. The two met in the middle of the ring and Young said a few things with a smile before they locked up.
The Match: Lacy took control early on as she tried to put away the champion early with a small package but Young kicked out and then was met with a back elbow to the face. Nelson showed off her technical side with lock ups and slams to the mat to try and shake up Young. Young eventually started to battle back and after a jumping knee to the face, hit Nelson with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline). Young dug down deep and went to the top rope and looked for a hurricanrana but Nelson moved out of the way as Young landed on her feet. Nelson spun Young around and hit a big ace cutter but only got a two count. Nelson kept looking for her superkick but Young, knowing Nelson so well, was able to duck, dodge, and block every attempt. Young then would look for a German that Nelson had scouted and countered as she landed on her feet. Nelson looked for the Deadline (Tiger Driver '98) but Young countered into a Code Red and got a two count before Nelson kicked out. Young looked gassed at this point in the match but kept trying to fight on. She started to set up for the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check) but Nelson hit her with a hard elbow to the head and it stunned the champion. The referee tried to call the match as she was having trouble standing but she refused.
The End: Young looked for the Man-Machine Interface but Nelson ducked it and Young stumbled into the ropes. She turned around and was rocked by the superkick from Nelson. Nelson looked around frantically as she almost couldn’t believe she connected with the kick. Young started to stand and Nelson connected with another superkick. The fans were up on their feet as Nelson pulled Young to her knees and put her head against Young’s before delivering the Headline (Eat Defeat). The fans counted along as Nelson covered and picked up the pinfall.
WINNER AND NEW EW WORLD CHAMPION: Lacy Nelson via pinfall @ 19:04
Scott Parker: Lacy Nelson is once again EW World Champion! She joins FM Young as the only other two time World Champion.
Gemma Foster: What a journey over the last couple months for Lacy as well. FM’s 142 day reign comes to an end.
The Aftermath: The fans cheered Nelson on as she sat on her knees and pulled her hair back from her face and caught her breath. She was handed FM’s custom EW World Championship as she reached out and touched FM’s hand before standing to celebrate. Trainers came down to check on FM and helped her out of the ring.
Scott Parker: What a way to start the year!
The final shot was of Lacy Nelson celebrating on the top turnbuckle before the lights flickered and came right back up. Lacy looked up at the ramp in a daze and jumped down. Her music kicked back up as if it skipped and she looked around as we went off-air.
