Gemma Foster: Hello and welcome to the first ever Weekly Gem with me, Gemma Foster. Once a week I’ll be meeting with Empire Wrestling talent to get a quick look at a variety of topics. Tonight’s guest is a brand new talent to the company, please welcome Jessica Carter.
The camera pans out to show us Gemma and Jessica sitting in chairs covered in red fabric inside a small studio.
Gemma Foster: Thank you for joining me. For those that don’t know my guest, please tell everyone a little bit about yourself. I know you’ve been in the business for a number of years now and have traveled all around the world with an extensive list of accomplishments.
The camera cuts over to Jessica who nodded with a smile as she started to answer.
Jessica Carter: People may know me better as Jessica Anderson, which is the name I went by for the bulk of my career. But I'm not an Anderson anymore, I'm a Carter. So I hope that eventually, that's the name people think of instinctively.
Gemma Foster: When the fans hear your music, hear your name, how do you think you’ll be remembered?
After a pause and a sigh, Jessica took a deep breath and reflexed on the question.
Jessica Carter: I hope that I can leave a positive impact, even if only small. If I can make even one person happy, I've done a good job.
Jessica smiled from ear to ear at her answer as she looked over to Gemma.
Gemma Foster: I know you say you can’t buy a win, that you’re looked at as enhancement talent even. Do you think that continues in Empire Wrestling or will Jess Carter eventually carry gold?
Jessica Carter: If my debut is anything to go by, then definitely the former. I am a dreamer, so I'd definitely love to carry gold. But I know it's not going to be easy.
Gemma shook the hand of Jessica with a smile and looked to the camera to wrap up the segment.
Gemma Foster: Look for Jessica Carter this weekend at Empire Wrestling’s Rebirth event as she competes in a triple threat match against Casey Grey and Hanako! Thank you for your time, Jess.
