Gemma Foster: Welcome to Empire Wrestling HYPE!
Chelsea LeClair Vs. Jenna Jillian Walker
We kick the night off and the warehouse cheers loudly as Chelsea LeClair makes her way to the ring. She takes a few moments to pose, before Jenna Jillian Walker makes her own way out to a strong cheer as well. Both women back off to let the referee call for the bell before they start circling. Both women are clearly determined and ready, and it shows as they lock-up in a tense struggle. LeClair turns it into a wristlock, but Jenna quickly reverses into one of her own. LeClair tries to switch again, but Walker tightens up the hold to stop that, and LeClair instead stumbles forward to grab the ropes, forcing a break. After a clean break, both women circle again, once more going foe a tie-up, and this time Jenna yanks LeClair down into a side headlock. Chelsea tries to shove the former Spartan Champion off, but Jenna puts on the brakes, and keeps her grip tight. Chelsea manages to yank her head back out of the headlock, and as Jenna turns she's greeted by a dropkick to the jaw.
Gemma Foster: Chelsea changing it up and catching Walker off guard!
Chelesea keeps up the momentum, using her speed to drop a quick pair of elbows, before hitting the corner for something springy, only for Walker to raise her knees and see LeClair crash down hard! LeClair bounces away wheezing, and now Walker takes her chance, hoisting the New Jersey native up and slamming her down with a spinebuster. Jenna quickly follows with a backbreaker and a running powerslam to drive the wind out of LeClair's lungs. Walker hooks a leg but it just gets a two as LeClair throws a shoulder up. Jenna doesn't lose focus though, dragging LeClair up and whipping her into the ropes, tossing her up for the All The Way Up, but LeClair hooks Jenna's head in mid-air and flips her into a hurricarana that sends Walker crashing to the mat! Walker manages to drag herself up slightly ahead of the wounded LeClair, reaching over to pull her opponent up, but LeClair throws away Jenna's arms and drops her with the Jersey Drop out of nowhere! ONE!.....TW-NO! Walker throws a shoulder up!
Gemma Foster: Walker manages to kick out, but both women are going to feel this tomorrow!
LeClair tries to take advantage, watching as Walker drags herself up on her knees, and LeClair charges in, looking for an Ocean City crusher, only for Walker to drop flat. LeClair leaps right over, hits the ropes, and as she bounces back, Walker does manage to throw her up and catch her with the All The Way Up (Pop-Up Powerbomb)! Walker slumps on top of Chelsea and the referee slides into position. ONE!.....TWO!...NO! LeClair kicks out! Walker can be seen staring at the referee in disbelief, looking back at Chelsea who is sitting slightly up but wheezing hard after the brutal assault on her ribs. Walker gets to her feet and calls for the finish, pulling LeClair into position for her BluePrint (Cradle Piledriver) only for LeClair to sweep her legs, flip over, and catch her with a surprise roll-up! ONE! TWO! THREE! Walker kicks out a moment later but it's too late! LeClair gets it with the roll-up!
WINNER: Chelsea LeClair via pinfall @ 12:25
LeClair pops up and looks around before throwing her arms up. Walker rolled out of the ring with the referee and was shocked at what just happened.
Ashlynn Cassidy Vs. Kaito Hirano
Gemma Foster: All three members of Dishonor are in action here tonight and Ashlynn Cassidy is making her debut against Kaito. It’s going to be a good test for Ashlynn as she steps into the ring with the ring veteran.
And this match is underway! Both competitors are quick to lock up and Kaito gets the upperhand by whipping Ashlynn into the ropes. Kaito goes for a clothesline that Ashlynn ducks underneath. Once “Undeniable” hits the other side of the ropes, she comes back off with an elbow strike that sends him down. Ash is quick to stay on top of him, but right as she gets close, Kaito Hirano strikes her in the face with a boot just to create a little bit of space. He gets to his feet and kicks Ashlynn in the midsection, coming down hard with a nice DDT. He hits the ropes, looking for a standing shooting star press and it connects. He quickly rolls her over but gets just a one count for his effort. He picks up Ash and whips her to the outside of the ring. Kaito follows her to the outside and goes to whip her into the barricade. But Ashlynn reverses and sends him back first! She takes a few steps back before delivering a shotgun dropkick that dazes him. She notices that the refs count is already at 7 and doesn’t want to win via countout. She quickly rolls him in the ring and covers, but only gets a two count. She can’t really believe it but doesn’t question the referee and instead whips him into the corner. She works him over with a few elbows to the face before backing up.
She charges after him, but Kaito catches her with an elbow to the side of the face. Kaito begins to land a vast array of shoot kicks all across her body before jumping up to the top rope. He comes off with a nice tornado DDT! He straight up plants Ashlynn down and is slow to make the cover but once he does, he only gets two. That half second might have cost him the win right there. They’re both down and the referee begins hits count, hitting 6 before both get on one knee and exchange strikes. Ashlynn outright headbutts him so she can get back to a vertical base. She hits a jawbreaker that stuns Kaito, so she hits him again with another one. Once he’s down she begins to target various limbs on him before she lands for a nice cross armbreaker. She’s got it locked in tight, but he’s refusing to tap. Eventually, Ashlynn rolls out and gets hyped up with the crowd. But it turns costly as she turns around and Kaito is right there with a nice spinning heel kick. It outright flattens her and he goes for a pin attempt but after the two count, purposefully raises Ashlynn’s arm up so he doesn’t get the three and can inflict much more damage on the debuting Ashlynn Cassidy.
The crowd doesn’t like that but Kaito Hirano doesn’t care. He just smirks as he turns his attention to the crowd. Ashlynn begins to get up but once she’s one her knees, he comes up and hits her with YO YUME O! THE SWEET DREAMS RUNING KNEE!!! Ashlynn looks to be on dreamstreet right now. Kaito has her right where he wants her! He picks her up by the hair and just shakes his head. Kaito kicks her in the midsection and lifts her over his head, perhaps looking for DISHONORED!!! THE BURNING HAMMER!!! BUT WAIT!!! Ashlynn uses her evasiveness to escape the hold! He charges after her only to be greeted with IN ANOTHER LIFE!!! THE TILTAWHIRL CRUCIFIX BOMB!!! She waits for him to get up, and Kaito is very slow to his feet. Ashlynn could have easily ended the match right there but is clearly looking to make a statement in her Empire Wrestling debut. At just the right moment, she hits the ropes and comes back with PERIOD, PEACE!!! THE RIPCORD KAPPO KICK CONNECTS!!! She rolls him over, hooking both legs and getting the three count!
WINNER: Ashlynn Cassidy via pinfall @ 14:42
Cassidy starts to celebrate after the win in her debut but quickly has to get out of the ring as Jason Evans comes down and stands beside Kaito Hirano.
Gemma Foster: A good win for Ashlynn and very smart of her to get out of there.
Then Who?
We are shown the backstage area where Lacy Nelson, now Hartson after her recent marriage to Serena Riot, is with her wife in the locked room. The two are all set for their matches as they are about to head out of the locker room. Lacy starts to head out before Serena calls for her.
Serena Riot: Hey! Don’t forget your hat!
Serena points to a black and red snapback hat. Lacy looks as it and shakes her head with a shrug.
Lacy Hartson: That’s not mine. I thought it was yours.
Serena Riot: Not mine.
Lacy Hartson: Then who put a hat in our locker room? Weird.
PRIMETIME CHAMPIONSHIP
Harper Mason Vs. Melody Slayton (c)
As we get ready for the Primetime Championship match, both women are in the ring and the crowd is buzzing for this one. Harper gets introduced first to a healthy response, while the champion gets a loud roar for her first title defense. After handing the referee her belt, they show it to Mason who nods, and then the bell is rung for. Neither woman moves at first, just staring at the other and letting the crowd build the buzz between them nice and slowly.
Gemma Foster: This title match is coming in with some tension already!
Finally both women make their move, dashing forward and combining with a quick series of arm drags, hip tosses, and speedy counters. The action is fast as Mason slips under a spinning wheel from Slayton, then bouncing up and looking for a dropkick, only for Melody to hook the ropes and Mason crashes to the mat. Slayton crashes down on top of Harper with a standing senton, quickly going for a cover but only getting a 1, before it is reversed into a roll-up for another quick one count. The champion kicks out, quickly scrambling to try for a crossface, but Mason struggles and pivots herself around to throw a foot over the bottom rope, breaking the moment.
Gemma Foster: Excellent ring awareness from Harper there!
With both women given a moment to catch their breath before rising to their feet, its clear action is about to pick up again. A quick tie-up sees Mason yank Slayton down into a side headlock, but Slayton sets her feet and manages to push Harper off, sending her crashing into the corner chest-first, and when she bounces back, she's greeted by the Sonic Rainboom (Poisonrana) driving her head-first into the mat! Mason rolls on the impact though, using her momentum to roll out of the ring. Slayton pops up and spins, looking for Mason and then groans when she sees The Slaytanic Avenger has rolled completely out of the ring.
Gemma Foster: Melody could have gotten the win there. That was a brilliant move by Harper to escape the ring!
Melody climbs to her feet and runs a hand through her hair as she watches the referee count, and when they reach six she sees Mason grab the ropes to pull herself up. Greeting her at the apron, Slayton slams some stiff forearm shots to Harper's jaw, and then pulls her over and slams her face into the top turnbuckle. The champion seems to get an idea, as she slowly climbs upto the top rope, and then starts trying to drag Mason up with her! The crowd is buzzing as they can sense whats coming, Melody pulling Mason up so she's bent over the top turnbuckle....and Melody hooks her arms, calling for Splash Mountain right down to ringside! Melody takes a moment to steady herself.....
and Mason suddenly roars out and sits up, backdropping Melody right from the top rope to crash down on the ringside mats! The Slaytanic Avenger stumbles herself, crashing down inside the ring, and the referee sees no choice, as they start to count.
ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Inside the ring, harper manages to drag herself to the ropes, gripping the bottom rope to try and pull herself up, but at ringside there's no sign of movement from Melody!
SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT!
Harper finally manages to drag herself to her feet, stumbling around on wobbly footing to turn around, while outside the ring Melody is moving now. Slowly trying to rise to her feet but still just barely able to move after that horrific fall.
NINE!
Harper finally seems to realize where Melody is and what the referee is doing, diving forward to try and stop them, just as Melody grabs the apron to pull herself up...
TEN!!
It's too late! The referee has no choice but to call for the bell! Harper Mason manages to beat Melody Slayton but it's by count-out! Melody is still the champion!
WINNER: Harper Mason via countout @ 15:19; AND STILL EW PRIMETIME CHAMPION MELODY SLAYTON
Gemma Foster: That’s definitely not how Harper wanted to win that match!
Mason was shocked at the announcement and Slayton was handed the championship on the outside. Slayton rubbed her head and shook it off.
Jason Evans Vs. Ricky Rodriguez
Evans was in the ring as the fans popped for the arrival of Rodriguez. The two superstars locked up for what was sure to be an exciting match. Evans and Rodriguez traded takedowns as things were fast paced to start. Ricky hit quick strikes to try and keep Jason from picking up his own pace. Evans ducked a clothesline and hit the ropes and came back to take Ricky down with a slingblade. Both got to their feet and Evans hit a big blue thunder bomb for a one count after a cover. Both men were up and Ricky had to start fighting back with chops and took Jason down with a tornado DDT. Ricky quickly went to the top rope and came flying off the top with a frog splash! He went into a cover for just two.
Gemma Foster: A big frog splash there!
Ricky pulled Jason to his feet and sent him into the corner. Ricky charged and ran into a big boot. Evans went to the top ropes and looked for meteora but Rodriguez moved out of the way! Evans got to his feet and Rodriguez flipped over him with a blockbuster faceplant. Both competitors got to their feet and Rodriguez took Evans down to the mat with a swinging neckbreaker. Ricky was fired up and got the crowd going as he stood and went to the top rope. Evans was up and ran up the turnbuckle and the two battled on the top. Evans was trying to connect with an avalanche Fate's Dagger (Falcon Arrow) but Rodriguez kept fighting back. Ricky pushed him off the top and he landed hard on the mat. Evans started to stand and Rodriguez came off the top with a version of the To The Top (Springboard Cutter)! Ricky rolled him into a cover and picked up a pinfall win!
WINNER: Ricky Rodriguez via pinfall @ 16:10
Ricky celebrated in the ring for a few moments after the match.
Gio DeLuca Vs. Veronica Taylor
We came back from commercial with Gio DeLuca in the ring. He had a microphone and was about to speak before Taylor’s music cut him off. She made her way to the ring and smirked the entire time. She posed at the bottom of the ramp before getting onto the ring. DeLuca dropped the microphone and the referee went over to pick it up. Taylor walked up to DeLuca and landed a low blow with the referee’s back turned. Taylor pulled DeLuca up quickly and delivered the D-List Remover (Implant DDT). She rolled him into a cover and picked up a win!
WINNER: Veronica Taylor via pinfall @ :41
Gemma Foster: WOW! Taylor just picked up the fastest win in Empire Wrestling history with that stunt!
Taylor laughed before rolling out of the ring, leaving Gio in the ring yelling at the referee.
EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP
Manic Vs. Kamila Rose Vs. FM Young (c)
The area around the ring was scattered with the weapon filled trash cans that we’ve come to expect. Manic came out first with her usual crawl through the smoke. Rose didn’t waste any time and started to attack Manic as soon as she hit the ring, trying to get an advantage. Rose took Manic down with a big tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown. Rose went right into an armbar and Manic was shocked. FM Young came rushing down to the ring and broke things up and took the fight to Rose. Rose and Young started to battle back and forth before the champion spiked Rose to the mat with a uranage! Young pulled Rose up and sent her into the corner. Young started to charge but Manic came out of nowhere with a crossbody!
Gemma Foster: Action all around the ring!
Manic rolled out of the ring and set up a table on the stage side of the ring as the fans cheered. Manic then tossed in multiple chairs and climbed into the ring. Rose had left the ring and grabbed a kendo stick that she started to unload on Manic. Young grabbed the kendo stick as Rose swung it and pulled Rose in using the kendo stick and dropped her with a Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline)! Young turned and Manic was all over her with a flurry of shots. Manic landed chops and kicks on Young. Manic looked for her Splitting Headache (Bicycle Knee Strike) but Young countered and lifted Manic for a powerbomb and tossed her out of the ring and through the table on the outside!
Gemma Foster: There is no love between Manic and FM!
The crowd chanted “holy shit” as Manic laid outside of the ring. Inside, Rose and Young went back and forth with blows until Rose looked for a wheelbarrow pin that got two. They both popped up and Rose hit a big discus elbow smash. Rose wanted her Rose Cutter (Arm Trap Headlock Driver) but Young battled free and countered into a dragon suplex. Rose stumbled to her feet and Young delivered the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check)! Manic somehow was crawling into the ring and Young met her with a big spear before covering for three.
WINNER AND STILL EW EXTREME CHAMPION: FM Young via pinfall @ 15:01
Young was handed her title and celebrated for a few moments and left the ring.
Serena Riot Vs. Missy Propaganda
The fans were behind Riot as she came down to the ring first. Propaganda got a solid reaction as she made her way down. The two locked up to kick things off and Missy flipped Serena to the mat and slipped to her legs, looking for an anklelock but Serena kicked her away. Serena got to her feet and caught her with a Manhattan Drop as she charged at her. Serena caught Missy with a big haymaker and then an open palm strike to the face. Missy stepped up, right into a snap DDT. Serena went into a cover but only got one. Missy started to get to her feet and had to duck a clothesline ran the ropes. Missy came running back but ran into Bitch Go BOOM (Literally just pushes her opponent with both of her hands, sending them flying across the ring. Often done when opponent is running at Serena)! Serena was fired up and went to Missy before locking in the Texas Cloverleaf! Propaganda struggled and started to inch her way to the ropes.
Gemma Foster: Serena might have it here!
Riot tried to pull her back to the center of the ring but the small window let Propaganda kick her away and she was able to get to her feet. Riot charged and ran into a massive right hand! Missy connected with a discus back elbow that dropped Serena! Propaganda went into the cover and Riot kicked out at two. Missy started to pull Serena up and Serena pushed her away.
