Episode #108 - December 3, 2023
The show was ready to start and we learned that later on tonight we’d be hearing from Luna Reynolds as she’d be interviewing a returning Empire Wrestling talent. Also, later in the show, we’d learn more about Next Level: Victorem!
Travis Levitt Vs. Gio DeLuca
The fans were greeted with EW’s resident hater, Gio DeLuca, making his way to the ring. He jumped into the ring and cut a promo before his match. He called out Travis Levitt as someone he hated because he came into Empire Wrestling and expected things to just come to him where guys like him have put in the time and haven’t been shown “nuttin’”. Levitt hit the stage and quickly made his way to the ring, ready for the match. He popped DeLuca in the mouth as the bell rang and the two men brawled around the ring. Levitt caught DeLuca with a spinning backfist and then pulled him in before delivering a tiger bomb! Levitt pulled DeLuca up and took him right back down with Renee’s Rise (Double Underhook Brainbuster)! Levitt stalked DeLuca around the ring, he clearly could’ve pinned DeLuca but waited. DeLuca got up and was rocked with Levitt’s Resurrection Kick (Claymore). Levitt covered and picked up the win.
WINNER: Travis Levitt via pinfall @ 2:03
Levitt grabbed a microphone after the match was over and called out Tom Carr, the Director of Operations! He wanted Samantha Hamilton and he wanted the Spartan Championship! Levitt stated he didn’t care who was placed in front of him to get there. Tom Carr stepped out from the curtain and gave Levitt a nod. Carr agreed that Levitt had looked really good in his run in Empire Wrestling and believed that he deserved another shot with how the last Spartan Championship match went between him and Hamilton. Carr said if Levitt could win his match next week, he’d get a Spartan Championship match!
Decisions and Consequences
The scene picked up backstage as the cameraperson caught up with Ashlynn Cassidy. She was walking down that hallway, noticeably in quite a hurry. As she went, she would occasionally look around, looking for someone.
Ashlynn Cassidy: ’He better be there.’
At first, it wasn't quite clear who she was looking for but once Ashlynn reached that door and opened it up, the sigh of relief that rolled free made it perfectly clear. Ricky Rodriguez was shown standing in a full length mirror, dressed in just a pair of bright pink boxer briefs seeing as he wasn't set to compete tonight. The look of confusion on Ricky's face was soon mirrored by Ashlynn as she made her way up beside him.
Ashlynn Cassidy: ’What’s wrong, baby?’
Ricky's brow furrowed and his nose scrunched up as he began comparing his own legs to one another, staring in that mirror as he did so. Turning his head, he looked at Ashlynn, completely and totally straight faced.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘Do you think one of my legs is shorter than the other?’
Ashlynn was a bit stunned by that question, even tilting her head to the side. Nonetheless, she moved around in front of Ricky, lowering herself down to her knees. She began checking out his legs, trying to get an answer to his question. Unable to quite tell, she told Ricky to sit down and stick his legs out and that's exactly what he did.
With the better angle, Ashlynn ran her hands up and down the both of his legs, taking extra consideration to really see if there was any difference in the length of the two. After a couple moments of examining, Ashlynn rose back up to her feet. A bright smile on her face, she shook her head cutely.
Ashlynn Cassidy: ‘Nope, they both look the same to me!’
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘Oh thank god. Was a lilbit worried there.’
Ricky breathed a sigh of relief, smiling just as brightly as Ash did. Throwing his arms around her, the two of them shared a loving embrace. Once they parted, Ashlynn spoke up.
Ashlynn Cassidy: ‘Can you believe Dishonor? Like they didn't know what was gonna happen.’
Ash shook her head as Ricky laughed out, doing the same.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘We told them exactly what was gonna happen and it's like it went in one ear and out the other. Did they think we were just bullshittin a lilbit?’
Ashlynn Cassidy: ‘It’s like they pick and choose what they wanna hear. We could've probably screamed it from the rooftops and they wouldn't have listened. I honestly don't think there's anything we can do to convince them otherwise.’
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘I just don't get people sometimes..’
Ricky sighed out, slowly shaking his head with disappointment on his face. Noticing this, Ashlynn brought her hand up, letting it rest against the side of Ricky's face.
Ashlynn Cassidy: ‘Sometimes people are just like that, y’know? You can't let it get you down. We’re doing the right thing, looking out for our friends, being there when they need us. If they want to keep trying to play the numbers game like that then we’ll be right there to cut them down each and every time.’
The reassuring words Ashlynn spoke had that bright smile of Ricky's slowly growing back out across his face.
Ricky Rodriguez: ‘You’re right. These are the decisions Dishonor are makin and they hafta realize that they're not gonna just get away with that kinda thing.’
Ashlynn Cassidy: ‘Exactly! Now c’mon, let's go, just in case they wanna try anything.’
She offered her hand to Ricky, who happily took it. The two made their way, hand in hand, out of that locker room and out into the backstage area, the scene cutting away.
Jenna Jillian Walker Vs. Harper Mason
The next match was set to begin as Walker and Mason readied and locked up. Mason landed strikes early on while Walker kept wrestling her to the mat. A big German suplex bounced Mason off the mat as Walker tossed her with ease. Walker approached but Mason took her down with a drop toe hold and started to work on her knee and lower back. A Boston crab was applied to Walker and she was eventually able to get to the ropes. Walker powered herself up and got behind Mason before hitting the Under The Bridge (Bridge Dragon Suplex). She couldn’t get her footing and Mason was able to get out right at two. Mason once again started to target the knee of Walker but Walker put a stop to it with a big German suplex. Walker started to set up for the BluePrint (Cradle Piledriver) but Mason was able to counter with a backdrop. Mason then delivered a spiking DDT. Veronica Taylor snuck her way down the ramp as the fans booed. Mason looked for her Crowd Killer (Ripcord Diamond Cutter) but was pushed away into the corner. Walker hit a big splash and rolled to the outside. The referee leaned out to check on her and start his count. Taylor jumped onto the apron and Walker turned right into her spraying hairspray in her eyes again! She jumped down and Mason was back in the ring and looked around confused as Walker rubbed her eyes. Mason spun her around and hit the Crowd Killer and covered for the win!
WINNER: Harper Mason via pinfall @ 14:05
Taylor laughed as she made her way up the ramp and to the back as Mason checked on Walker.

SPARTAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Austin Scott Vs. Samantha Hamilton (c)
Before the match was set to start we learned that Samantha Hamilton was going to be putting the Spartan Championship on the line in the upcoming match! Both competitors made their way to the ring and we got kicked off with the two circling each other. Gemma Foster touched on Austin Scott beating Samantha Hamilton back in 2019 for the Extreme Championship as the two landed hard, clubbing blows to each other. Scott landed a hard headbutt and took the fight to Hamilton. Scott tried to deliver a double underhook powerbomb but Hamilton was able to get away and then level her opponent with a hard clothesline. Hamilton got Scott in the corner and landed hard lariats over and over. Hamilton pulled Scott out and dropped him with a suplex. Hamilton had control for some time and started to look for a bucklebomb and connected! She ran the ropes for a spear but ran into a lifting kick! Scott delivered Full Throttle (Inverted Overdrive) and covered for two. He quickly went into a Texas Cloverleaf and had it locked in. Hamilton made her crawl and used her first of three rope breaks.
Hamilton used the ropes to pull herself up and caught a charging Scott with a boot to the face. She tried to lock in EXILED TO TARTARUS (Sleeper Hold) but Scott rolled forward and was able to get a break as he grabbed the ropes for his first rope break. Both were up and Scott tried to lift Hamilton to his shoulder but she was able to struggle free and landed behind him. He turned and ate a kick to the gut which let Hamilton hit her Wrath of the Titans (Pedigree)! She covered and picked up the pinfall to retain.
WINNER AND STILL EW SPARTAN CHAMPION: Samantha Hamilton via pinfall @ 16:42
Justice Cross Vs. Artemis Ren Vs. Veronica Taylor
This next match was set to start after a quick commercial break and all three competitors were in the ring. Ren came out swinging in the match and hit some uppercuts on both. Cross flipped Ren to the mat with a hip toss and Taylor was right there with a neckbreaker. The action was back and forth between the three in the early going before Taylor started to gain some speed after raking the eyes of both and then sending Ren into the steel steps on the outside. Cross looked for a shining wizard on Taylor but Taylor was able to duck it. Taylor hit Cross with the Ultra Fabulous (Backstabber)! Ren was back in the ring and Taylor took her down and locked in the First Class Clutch (Camel Clutch) Ren wouldn’t give up and Jenna Jillian Walker rushed to the ring and pulled Taylor off by her hair and the two brawled to the outside, no disqualifications due to the match type! Ren started to stand and was hit with Cross’ Lights Out (RKO)! She covered and picked up the win!
WINNER: Justice Cross via pinfall @ 11:12
Walker and Taylor brawled around the ring before referees broke things up.
FIGHT WITH DISHONOR
Ashlynn Cassidy and Ricky Rodriguez are shown to be walking in the backstage area. A loud voice screams out “DISHONOR!” as Kaito Hirano, Kimiko Hirano, and Jason Evans charge them and begin to brawl. Security rushes over as Evans jumps off some crates and takes out both Cassidy and Rodriguez.
Gemma Foster: There’s pandemonium in the backstage area and Ashlynn and Ricky are outnumbered tonight as Serena Riot and Lacy Hartson aren’t here!
Kaito starts to lift Ricky up for his Dishonored (Burning Hammer GTS) but he is able to fight free and security pulls them two teams apart as we cut away.
Melody Slayton Vs. FM Young
The fans were buzzing for the next match as the Extreme Champion FM Young came out first. Primetime Champion Melody Slayton was out second and the two met in the middle of the ring. They shook hands which got a cheer from the fans. Young had the size advantage and used it to swat at Slayton. Slayton danced around and hit sliced bread #2 as she caught Young by surprise. Slayton hit a big chop block on Young and tried to keep her ground with strikes as she was on the mat. Young powered up and the Extreme Champion slammed Slayton to the mat with a big spinebuster. They were both up and Young hit a snap dragon suplex on Slayton. Young was fired up and lifted Slayton up before hitting the Stand Alone Complex (Elevated gutbuster)! Young covered for two. Slayton kept trying to battle back but Young’s power kept coming into play as she’d slam Slayton to the mat. Young looked for the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline) and Slayton ducked it before jumping up and hitting Sonic Rainboom (Poisonrana)! Slayton covered and got two.
Slayton quickly followed it up with This Magic Moment (V Trigger)! Slayton got herself ready and wanted to hit the Glitter Bomb (Panama Sunrise) and Young countered into an Alabama Slam! Slayton started to stand and Young delivered the Heart of a Phoenix (Lumbar Check)! She covered and Slayton shocked the fans as she kicked out just before three. Young didn’t waste any time as she pulled Slayton up and turned her inside out with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline). Young started to pull Slayton up and Slayton pulled her down with a small package and picked up a shocking win!
WINNER: Melody Slayton via pinfall @ 17:33
Slayton and Young pop up at the same time and smile. Slayton and Young shake hands as they were interrupted.
The Next Chapter
As Slayton and Young stand in the ring and shake hands, the familiar sound of “Lights Out” by POD starts to play as the Warehouse erupts in shock.
Gemma Foster: There’s no way.
It isn’t long until AJ Adams steps out from behind the curtain with a big grin on his face. He looks around and nods and pulls out a microphone.
Gemma Foster: We haven’t seen AJ Adams in almost 5 months!
Adams lets his music start to play down as he looks down at Slayton and Young who are puzzled to see him.
AJ Adams: Surprise.
The fans cheer as he grins again and just keeps talking.
AJ Adams: The last time I was here was Hype 100 when I beat one of my biggest rivals, Emily Corlen. Then POOF! I was gone again. When I came back for that match at Hype I got a hairline fracture that I wanted to give time to heal. I also wanted to give Empire Wrestling time to find itself again because I wanted to see what sort of talent was going to take this company into the future. I look down at the ring right now and I see some of EW’s past and part of its present.
The fans start a “Em-Pi-Re” chant as AJ takes a pause.
AJ Adams: I recently turned 37 and I know that my body can’t go like it used to but I know there’s still more left. I know that I look down at that ring and see the next chapter in my legacy. Next week I will be in the Press Your Luck match. AJ Adams is back.
Adams fires up the crowd as his music hits as Slayton and Young look at each other with a smile.
Casey Grey Vs. Harper Blake
It was time for the main event as the fans cheered. Blake paced around the ring and Casey Grey came out to a pop. The two locked up and Grey flipped Blake to the mat with a snapmare and smiled as she rolled her shoulders. Blake got to her feet and they locked back up and Blake was able to deliver a sidewalk slam and unloaded on Grey. She used the long absence of Grey to out pace her for most of the match and Grey always seemed one step behind. Blake had Grey in the corner and looked for a big corner kick to the face but Grey moved out of the way! Grey hit a German suplex and popped up. Grey caught Blake with a running knee strike to the head of Blake! She grabbed Blake and delivered a double knee facebreaker and was fired up as she stood. She removed her elbow pad and caught Blake with the Breath Mint (Forearm Smash) as she stood! Blake tried to fight back and started to set up for the double chickenwing facebuster and Grey fought out. Blake looked for her Future Sight (V-Trigger) and Grey side stepped it. Grey lifted Blake and hit the Racklash (Rack Attack)! She covered and picked up a win in her return!
